Distributed generation (DG) systems go to intentional islanding operation to back up private emergency loads when the main grid is out of electric power. Conventional utility interactive inverters normally operated in current control mode in DG system must change their operation mode into voltage control mode to ensure stable voltage source to the emergency loads when intentional islanding operation occurs. During the transfer between current control mode and voltage control mode, serious transient problem may occur on the output terminal voltage of the utility interactive inverter. This paper proposes reasonal inverter topology and its control algorithm for seamless transfer of DG systems in intentional islanding operation. Filter design guide line and data for a LCL filter that is appropriate for the proposed control algorithm are also presented by the authors.

This paper analyzes the characteristics of drivers' workload observed from with 30 participant drivers with respect to two physio-physiological parameters. For investigating physio-physiological characteristics of road drivers, bio-signals from brain's occipital lobe between simulation experiment and real driving experiment are collected and analyzed. The major findings from the analysis are summarized as follows: First, the drivers' physio-physiological workload is a good parameter for explaining the workload characteristics of road drivers. Secondly, the two physio-physiological workload parameters selected, i.e., beta value and relative energy parameter, are revealed to be statistically significant. Thirdly, it is also revealed to be statistically significant to select 90 percentile measurements in simulator experiment to explain the road drivers' characteristics. Finally, the maximum workload of road design driver is 31.72 in beta parameter, whereas the minimum workload is 1.296 in relative energy parameter.

Although motorcycle safety studies to date have identified the causes of motorcycle accidents in general, very few have investigated postal motorcycle accidents by studying the delivery postmen's specific work environment. To better understand postal motorcyclists' driving behavior associated with their delivery workload, we developed a system using V-World platform which visualizes driving behavior in real time along the driver's delivery route throughout an entire work day. We conducted a field test to examine the feasibility of our system by involving six delivery postmen currently working in Songpa, Seocheongju, and Gangseo, respectively. To show the potential of our system for nationwide comparison of postal motorcyclists' driving behavior and their workloads, we present several sample analyses using the collected field data. Although ideally, postmen's workloads should be standardized nationwide, we found large variation depending on regional characteristics of work area which affects postmen's driving behavior.
In this study, we investigated the operation data of combined heat and power in accordance with the change of the inlet guide vane with partial load. The partial load 80% could close the inlet guide vane up to 24%, and the exhaust gas temperature could be increased by 52℃. The partial load 90% could close the inlet guide vane up to 12%, and the exhaust gas temperature could be increased by 23℃. At 80% of partial load with the thermal load tracking mode, the output could be increased up to 5.68 MW, the combined cycle efficiency increased by 0.73%, and the combined heat and power efficiency increased by 1.81%. At 90% of the partial load, the output could be increased up to 2.55 MW, the combined cycle efficiency increased by 0.32%, and the combined heat and power efficiency increased by 0.72%.
