A Study on the Compatibility of Korean Temperature Guidelines for Stockpile Material Environmental Test (저장물자 환경시험을 위한 한국적 온도기준 적합성 연구)

  • The T&E (Test and Evaluation) results were applied for a judgment basis to decide the developmental process of system engineering for efficient weapon system R&D (Research and Development). During the OT&E (Operational Test and Evaluation) and DT&E (Development Test and Evaluation), an environmental test is essential for weapon system development owing to their highly exposed operational conditions. Based on the MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-310, and AECTP 200, the ROK armed forces recommended operating temperatures for the ROK weapon system and applied this to the DT&E and OT&E. This study examined the compatibility of Korean temperature guidelines for stockpile material considering recent climate change. Moreover, this study analyzed the data from hourly measured temperatures on 101 observatories during 60 years, from 1960 to 2020, and percentage (0.5%, 1%, 5%, and 10%) and the 𝜎 (3𝜎, 2𝜎, and 1𝜎) frequency of occurrence on rigorous hot (August) and cold (January) periods, respectively. The results indicate that the highest temperature was 41℃, and the 0.5% frequency of occurrence was 37.0℃. In the case of the cold period, the lowest temperature was -32.6℃ and the 0.5% frequency of occurrence was -21.1℃. By considering the previously recommended operating temperature range for a general ground system, -30 ~ 40℃, regional operation probability is recognized 99.999%. Despite the recent abnormal climate change from global warming, the Korean temperature guidelines are compatible with the stockpile material environmental test.

  • 본 논문에서는 틸팅열차의 안전성 확보 및 운행효율 향상을 위해 "한국형 틸팅열차 신뢰성 평가 및 운용기술개발" 연구과제의 한 분야로 추진된 ATP 차상장치의 중앙선 시험운행 중 우천시 발생한 이상 속도 현시 현상에 대한 원인 분석 및 조치사항을 제시하고 있다. 현재 한국철도기술연구원에서는 기존선의 속도 향상과 KTX 비 수혜지역의 여객 서비스 향상을 위해 틸팅열차를 개발하였으며, 개발된 틸팅열차의 신뢰성 평가를 위해 약 13만 km 주행 시험운행을 진행하였다. 틸팅열차 중앙선 시험운행 중 실제 약 143km/h로 운행 중이던 열차의 속도는 MMI 상에 최고 167km/h까지 현시 되었다. 이러한 현상은 기관사로 하여금 규정 속도를 준수하여 안전운행을 하는데 어려움을 줄 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 현상의 원인을 찾고 조치하였으며 시험운행을 통해 정상상태로 동작함을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 틸팅열차의 안전성 확보 및 운행효율 향상을 위해 "한국형 틸팅열차 신뢰성 평가 및 운용기술개발" 연구과제의 한 분야로 추진된 ATP 차상장치의 설치 및 시운전시험에 대한 내용 및 결과를 제시하고 있다. 한국철도기술연구원에서는 기존선의 속도 향상과 KTX 비수혜지역의 여객 서비스 향상을 위해 틸팅열차를 개발하였으며 개발된 틸팅열차의 신뢰성 평가를 위해 기존에 사용되고 있는 ATS 장치에 의한 10km 주행 시운전 시험을 진행하였다. 국토해양부에서는 KTX가 운행되지 않는 지역인 중앙선 및 충북선을 비롯한 7개 기존 노선을 200km/h 이상으로 고속화하기로 하였으며, 이에 따라 열차제어시스템은 기존의 ATS 장치에서 ATP 장치로 개량하여야 한다. 따라서 틸팅열차에도 ATP 차상장치를 설치하여 운행 적합성을 확인하여야 하기 때문에 한국철도공사의 경부선 및 호남선 ATP 구축사업에 사용된 것과 동일한 ATP 차상장치를 틸팅열차에 설치하여 시험하였다.

  • This paper introduce to improve the reliability of the expected service life and the insulation condition evaluation of the high voltage induction motors by assessing, comparing and analyzing the correlation between the dielectric properties of the off-line insulation diagnostic test and dielectric strength on the insulation breakdown test. The insulation diagnostic tests include insulation resistance, polarization index(P.I.), dissipation factor($tan{\delta}$), maximum partial discharges($Q_{max}$) and AC breakdown test. This study evaluated the correlation between insulation diagnostic test and AC breakdown test for stator winding of high voltage induction motor. On the basis of these test results, we expect that this study can be used for effectively assessing the results of insulation diagnostic tests for similar class induction motors in service at industrial field.

A Study on the Bulletproof Reliability Program (방탄물자 신뢰성 평가(BRP)에 관한 연구)

  • This study examines the reliability evaluation concept and procedure of bulletproof materials (BRP: Bulletproof Reliability Program). ASRP, RAM analysis tasks were utilized for the study. Based on this analysis, the concept, method, performance system, and procedure of BRP were examined. The BRP task execution procedure consists of the following four steps. First, the business (evaluation) planning stage establishes the evaluation plan every year. Second, there is a testing stage that performs the general inspection, functional test, and operational test according to the established plan. Thirdly, there is an evaluation/analysis phase to synthesize/analyze the results and to judge the appropriate grade considering the performance of bulletproof materials. Finally, the follow-up step of each group according to the result. The following criteria are suggested for BRP implementation: BRP testing capability, development of BRP evaluation method, and recognition of the importance of BRP business.

  • 축류 압축기 블레이드(blade)와 베인(vane)이 정하중(static load)에서 충분한 강도를 지니고 있더라도 반복하중이나 교번하중을 받게되면, 그 하중이 작더라도 파괴가 일어날 수 있다. 축류 압축기 블레이드와 베인의 피로파괴(fatigue failure) 현상은 개발 중인 가스터빈엔진 뿐만 아니라 현재 운용중인 엔진에서도 발생할 수 있는 엔진손상의 주요 원인이다. 블레이드나 베인의 동적 안정성 평가는 에어포일(airfoil)의 피로특성과 엔진운용조건에 따라서 발생하는 복잡한 공력가진과의 연관성을 고려하여 수행되어야 하기 때문에, 해석과 구성품 시험을 통하여 우선적으로 강도 평가를 실시하여야 한다.(중략)

The End-to-end Performance Evaluation Method on Next Generation Network (NGN 환경에 적합한 단대단 성능평가 방법)

  • In order to test and evaluate the various functions and services of NGN would be promised, a specified methodology is needed and a development for the identification of testing object, configuration and test traffic are required. Simulation and analytical modeling methodshave used for IP performance testing, but further study issue still remains. This paper proposes new evaluation methodology to achieve an objective approach rather than a subjective and isolated, based on the real-field environment, for NGN network. For this purpose, background traffic pattern to interfere test traffic was specified and it was tested in actual NGN testbed with systems having NGN technology, such as per bandwidth and packet size. The results shows the suggested methodology is appropriate, comparing with parameters which are Delay, Jitter and Loss the current approach for the end-to-end performance evaluation on NGN.

A Study on the Effects of Relationship Between Copper Crusher Gauge and Internal Piezo Gauge (강내압력측정 신뢰성 확보 방안에 관한 연구: 동구게이지와 IPG 게이지 성능 비교 중심)

  • This study examined the operation of a pressure gauge for measuring the internal pressure of a barrel. During the ammunition performance evaluation test, the internal pressure of the barrel was measured mainly using a copper crusher gauge. The internal piezo gauge (IPG) was used to replace the pressure measurement method, and the test results were analyzed to verify the operability of the IPG. For verification, actual shooting test data were used, and a t-test was used to analyze the results. The 155MM KH179 and M119 series propellant were used for the test equipment and ammunition. The results confirmed that there was no difference between the mean values of the two data results at a significance level of 5% for the data values between the copper gauge and the IPG. The use of the IPG was verified by replacing the existing copper gauge to measure the internal pressure of the barrel, and it was confirmed that the application width could be widened in terms of diversity of test measurement methods. Based on the results of this test, it can be applied to the compression measurement test of various types of ammunition in addition to the propellant charges.

  • Acoustic chamber was developed for verifying the performance of a satellite under the launch condition on the Space environment test department. As the size of a satellite is increased the extension of existing facility is required. This paper encompasses the following items; redesign of components in acoustic chamber, product procedures of them and review of the test for the components of satellite in the upgraded acoustic chamber.

  • The supersonic wind tunnel is a common facility to studies the aerodynamic phenomenon around the high speed vehicle or weapon system whose operating speed is greater than sonic speed. In this study, a design procedure and selecting the components of a new supersonic wind tunnel whose nozzle exit is $125mm{\times}100mm$ is considered. An operating test of this wind tunnel is being conducted to compare the result with the design values, mach number, etc.
