This essay explores Louise Erdrich's politically resistant voice which interrogates and disrupts the long-lasting, pernicious misbelief about Native Americans as 'vanishing people'. This essay chiefly focuses on the two female characters-Lulu Nanapush and Marie Lazarre Kashpaw-in the author's widely acclaimed novel Love Medicine (1993). First, illustrating the Chippewas' multifaceted resistances against white Americans' colonialist dominance disclosed in their enforcement of governmental policy, law, religion, and culture, this essay investigates how Erdrich does not stop telling her story that the idea of 'vanishing people'-another version of 'Manifest Destiny'-is unfounded. Second, by referring to Freud's and Marcuse's speculation on 'Eros'-the great unifying energy that preserves all life-as an alternative to the predicament caused by an oppressive civilization, this essay illuminates Erdrich's vision of sustaining and regenerating the Chippewas' tribal life and heritage that center on the embracing power of love reified in Lulu and Marie. Their undying energy consolidating their communal love and ties, despite the destructive, oppressive colonialist milieu inflicted on the Chippewa Indian reservation, sheds light on the author's politics of 'Eros' predicated tightly upon her historical consciousness.

This study showed that the association between solidarity and conflict is mediated by the communication of grandmothers and an adult child at the dyadic level. The common fate model (CFM) was designed to model mediation effects at the level of dyads. Participants consisted of 297 grandmother dyads and their adult child who were rearing preschool-aged grandchildren in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. For analysis at the dyadic level, grandmothers and adults responded to the same questionnaire on the same variables. SPSS 23.0 performed descriptive statistical analysis and correlation analysis. The structural equation model (SEM) was estimated with AMOS 23.0. We tested the mediation model using the maximum likelihood method. Model fit index used the chi-square statistic, the incremental fit index (IFI), the comparative fit index (CFI), the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA). The statistical significance of the indirect effect was examined using a bootstrapping procedure. The results are as follows. First, in the CFM, the direct effect between solidarity and conflict was significant. Therefore, the higher the solidarity, the lower conflict of grandmothers and an adult child. Second, the association between solidarity and conflict is mediated by communication at the dyadic level. Based on the results of this study, we discussed ways to strengthen the capacity of co-parenting between grandmothers and an adult child.

Wang-ch'ung(왕충) negated the theory of efficacy between the Heaven and a Man(천인감응) based on Yin Yang(음양) and Five Elements(오행) that was popular at that time. The Heaven is just solid one without a mouth and ears. The order of nature is circling in its own way regardless of the will of human being. Jung classified psychological types of the human being into the introversion and extroversion. From this point of view, Wang-ch'ung(왕충) is belong to extroversion philosophy. He criticized modern society by using effect and evidence, and expressed it as critical moral philosophy and political ideal.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the cultural factors that complement the counseling by examining the psychological motivation of the young women in their 20s and 30s and the psychological benefits gained from the augural experience, And to suggest a more appropriate and comfortable form of counseling. For this, interview data of participants were analyzed using Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR). As a result of the analysis, the participants were searching for the fortunetellers with intrinsic motivation to get psychological support, experiencing the psychotherapeutic effects obtained from the counseling while filling the psychological needs through the mobs, and gaining alternatives to solve the problems.

Global warming and scorching summer seasons affect the growth ability of broilers and animal welfare. In modern broilers, vital organs, such as the heart and lungs, grow disproportionally under intensive selection, making it difficult to adapt to warmer climates. Changes in environmental temperature can affect muscle formation during embryonic development and the early posthatching period. Satellite cells are highly sensitive to heat stress. Heat stress affects the proliferation and differentiation activity of satellite cells and muscle growth and structure. Therefore, thermal manipulation during broiler chick embryogenesis and environmental temperature management at the beginning of hatching are critical for the development and growth of broiler muscles. This review focuses on the thermoregulation mechanism of birds, the muscle development process of broilers, and the function of satellite cells, the relationship between heat stress and muscle development of chicks shortly after hatching, and studies on heat resistance and muscle growth of broilers.

The goal of this study is to examine the impact of time perspective and life satisfaction of government and public institution employees on organizational SNS attitude and word-of-mouth effect. A total of 136 incumbent employees participated in this online survey. It was found that past-positive, present-hedonistic, and future time perspective positively affected life satisfaction and the organizational SNS attitude. Meanwhile past-negative time perspective negatively affected life satisfaction only, present-fatalistic time perspective did not negatively affect life satisfaction and organizational SNS attitude. Finally, life satisfaction showed a positive impact on word-of-mouth effect via organizational SNS attitude. By identifying psychological underpinnings of time perspective and life satisfaction, this study will provide theoretical and practical implications regarding internal communication and the effective management of government and public institution-operated SNS.

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, many countries have tried to defense Covid-19 to protect their people and as an influential and reliable policy as of now, they have recommended vaccinating. Thus, this research explored what influences the intention to vaccinate against Covid-19 with three health locus of control from multi-dimension health locus of control (MHLC) and perceived susceptibility and severity from health belief model (HBM) through PLS path modeling. Consequently, chance locus of control (CHLC) influence indirectly intention to vaccinate against Covid-19 mediating with susceptibility perception. It implies that the more fatalistic people attitude toward Covid-19, the more susceptible they perceived to the disease, and then, the stronger intention to vaccinate they would have. Thus, the health promotion authorities should motivate to activate people's susceptibility perception toward the disease through utilizing a variety of policies and consider that the fatalistic tendency toward the disease of people could play an antecedent role in the process.

This study intends to deal with the flow of posthumanism after humanism, which views humans from the same dimension as other living things, and the problem of transhumanism, which originated from it, but on the contrary, dreams of augmented humans through science and technology. After that, this study intends to examine how the modern theory of justice can evaluate the situation about these two extremes. In particular, the guide we have chosen in relation to the theory of justice, is Michael Sandel, and by passing the problem of future post/transhumanism into this discussion, we propose how we can evaluate the flow of future anthropology from the standpoint of the traditional theory of justice. Post/transhumanism and its various events are approaching as our inevitable fate. However, along with this inevitable situation, many discussions are still needed in order to pass the theory of justice and to be accepted as valid.

관상학이란 사람의 인상을 관찰하여서 사람의 운명을 판단하고, 그 얻어진 결론을 가지고 길흉의 방법을 구하는 학문이라고 할 수 있다. 사람은 누구나 다른 사람을 볼 때 그 사람의 아름다움이나 추함보다는 인상이 눈에 먼저 들어오는 것은 당연하다고 할 수 있다. 그 얼굴에 인상이 뚜렷하게 나타나는 곳 중 제일은 인당 일 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 외모만으로 성격을 판별하거나 몸매 혹은 얼굴생김에서 직관적 인지를 얻어내는 관상학을 통해 인당의 크기에 따른 성격을 영상 처리 기술로 구현하였다. 즉, 인당은 눈썹과 눈썹사이의 가운데 부분을 말하며, 미간이라고도 부른다. 이와 같은 인당의 크기에 따라 성격의 주요 5대 특징과의 상관성 분석을 통해 눈썹에 따른 성격의 차이를 분석하는 연구를 수행하였다.

매년 국내 많은 기업 및 공공기관에서 정보시스템 관련 프로젝트를 수행하고 그 결과는 성공이라고 발표되고 있으나, 2009년 Standish 보고서에서 성공 32%, 도전 44%, 실패 24%이라고 발표되었다.[1] 프로젝트를 수행하는 업체나 발주 업체는 그 성패에 따라서 기업의 운명이 달라진다. 본 연구에서는 실제 공급자(개발업체)가 수행한 프로젝트 사례(A사 282건)를 Standish CHAOS 보고서에 명시된 성패 기준으로 하여 조사 및 통계 분석한 결과는 Standish 보고서에 비교해서 실패 11%( A사 실패 35%) 높게 나왔다. 그 이유는 프로젝트에 대한 관리 프로세스 미정착되어 있으며, PM의 역량에 의해서 좌우 되어진다. 따라서 실패율을 낮추기 위한 지속적인 프로젝트 관리 프로세스가 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 국내 IT환경에 개발업체에서 수행한 프로젝트 성공과 실패에 관한 연구로서 (1)기존 문헌을 통하여 프로젝트의 성패에 대한 기준을 정립하고, (2)이를 Standish와 비교하고, (3) 프로젝트 계획 및 관리 프로세스의 중요성을 인식하여 성공을 높이는데 기여하고자 한다.
