  • 본 논문은 다물체동역학에서의 민감도해석을 위하여 개발된 혼합법(Mixed method)을 보여준다. 이 방법은 해석적인 미분의 유도와 수치적인 미분의 장점을 함께 사용한다. 해석적인 유도는 기본적인 전체의 미분에서 사용 되며 여기서 나온 각 세부 미분항은 수치적인 미분방법에 의존한다. 이로인하여 세부미분항을 다물체의 운동방정식 에서 유도할 때 발생하는 어려움을 제거한다. 여기서 사용되는 운동 방정식은 Joint Coordinate 방정식을 사용하며, 이 방정식의 계산시간과 정확도에 의해 민감도해석에서도 정확도와 계산시간의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있게 된다. 예제로서 자동차 Suspension 시스템의 승차감을 최적화하기 위한 민감도 해석을 수행하였으며, 여기서 혼합법이 차등미분법과 상응한 결과를 보였다.

Analysis on the Dynamic Responses of Fishing Vessels in a Seaway (파랑중 어선의 동력학 해석)

  • Ships in a seaway will encounter dangerous situation, such as slamming, stranding, and capsizing. The number of capsizing is small, but the loss due to them is very large from the viewpoint of human life, property, and the environmental pollution. The number of capsizing of fishing vessels is about 62% of total number of capsizing, and the half of them is originated from the operational mistake in a seaway. So the dynamics and the capsizing phenomena are to be studied, and the guide for the safe operation of a fishing vessel in a seaway are to be specified. The hydrodynamic forces consist of radiation forces (which are due to the motion of a ship), Froude-Krylov forces (which is due to the incoming waves), and diffraction forces (which is due to the wave and ship interaction). These forces are calculated by well-known strip method. Using the calculated forces, the motion of a ship in a regular sea is obtained. In the real seaway, the waves are very irregular, therefore the statistical analysis is very helpful. In this paper, using the results of the motion in a regular seaway and the wave spectrum, the motion in a irregular seaway are obtained and analyzed.

A Study on the Selection and Modification of Ground Motion Based on Site Response Analysis (부지응답해석에 기반한 지반운동 선정 및 보정에 관한 고찰)

  • In the recent seismic design code KDS 41 17 00, selection and modification procedures of ground motions which are used for nonlinear dynamic analyses were adopted. However, its practical applications are still limited due to the lack of literatures. This paper introduces case studies which used site-response analyses to select and modify ground motions for nonlinear dynamic analyses. Based on the case studies, design criterion for site-response analyses were reviewed thoroughly in the viewpoint of practical applications. It was found that design requirements related with bedrock motions are too conservative that ground motions are selected and modified in the excessive manner. It is especially true for low-rise building structures with period ranges including acceleration-sensitive regions. Even though surface motions have shown appropriate responses, such building structures have to re-select and re-modify ground motions based on pre-analysis procedures rather than post-ones according to the current seismic design code. Also, it was observed that building structures with soft soils under strong ground motions need more comprehensive investigations on soil properties and efficient analysis methods in order to perform site-response analyses. This is due to the fact that lack of reliabilities on soil properties and analysis methods could result in unstable site-responses.

Sensitivity Analysis of Hydrodynamic Derivatives on Characteristics of Manoeuvring Motion of Manta-type Unmanned Undersea Test Vehicle (Manta형 무인잠수정의 조종운동 특성에 미치는 유체력미계수의 민감도 해석에 관한 연구)

  • Manta-type Unmanned Undersea Test Vehicle(MUUTV) is based on the same design concept as Unmanned Undersea Vehicle called Manta Test Vehicle(MTV), which was originally built and operated by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center(Lisiewicz et al., 2000, Sirmalis et al. 2001). The authors carried out the sensitivity analysis of the response of manoeuvring motion of MUUTV to changes in hydrodynamic derivatives, In order to calculate the sensitivity indices of hydrodynamic derivatives on MUUTV, the method by Sen(2000) was adopted Basically the dynamic mathematical model with six degrees of freedom by Feldman(1979) is used but a little revised, refered to Sohn et al.(2006) and some experiment in circulating water channel. Through the present research, some hydrodynamic derivatives of significance are found out, and also the numerical simulation using simplified mathematical model based on result of sensitivity analysis is ascertained to be enough for prediction of manoeuvring characteristics of MUUTV.

A Momentum-Exchange/Fictitious Domain-Lattice Boltzmann Method for Solving Particle Suspensions (부유 입자를 해석하기 위한 운동량 교환/가상영역-격자볼츠만 방법)

  • This study presents a Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) coupled with a momentum-exchange approach/fictitious domain (MEA/FD) method for the simulation of particle suspensions. The method combines the advantages of the LB and the FD methods by using two unrelated meshes, namely, a Eulerian mesh for the flow domain and a Lagrangian mesh for the solid domain. The rigid body conditions are enforced by the momentum-exchange scheme in which the desired value of velocity is imposed directly in the particle inner domain by introducing a pseudo body force to satisfy the constraint of rigid body motion, which is the key idea of a fictitious domain (FD) method. The LB-MEA/FD method has been validated by simulating two different cases, and the results have been compared with those through other methods. The numerical evidence illustrated the capability and robustness of the present method for simulating particle suspensions.

Large Slow-Drift Motions of a Floating Body in Slightly Modulated Waves (해상(海上)에 계류(繫留)된 부유체(浮遊體)의 표류운동(漂流運動) 해석(解析))

  • For a moored body on the sea surface, incident waves with narrow-banded spectra excite the body oscillations of short and long periods. Since the period of slow oscillations can be as long as the natural period of the moored body in horizontal modes, resonance can occur and resulting large motions may cause significant strains in mooring cables. By using the perturbation method of multiple scales, the large slow motion can be analyzed without solving any second-order potentials explicitly. To the leading order, the flows associated with the fast and slow motions interact only parametrically and thus they can be studied separately. It is found that the slow motion strongly depends on the mooring stiffness. In particular, if the moring stiffness is considerably weak compared to the body inertia, the slow motion is highly amplified near resonance. It is also shown that the slow motion is associated with the generation of long waves.

  • 변형된 라이저의 단위 접선벡터상의 운동학적 제약조건을 적용하여 심해저 라이저의 비선형 동적해석을 행한다. 이 조건의 적용으로 자유도수를 감소시킬 수 있으며 심한 비선형성으로 인한 해의 발산 가능성을 제거할 수 있다. 라이저의 거대변형으로 인한 기하학적 비선형성과 비선형 경계조건이 고려된다. 또한, 비선형성이 포함되는 수동학적 하중이 조류와 파랑에 의해 발생하여 내부에 정상류가 흐르는 라이저관의 외벽에 작용하게 된다. 이 외에도라이저 자체의 축방향 변형조건을 고려한다. Galerkin의 유한요소 근사화와 시간증분자를 적용하여 유한요소에 대한 평형 메트릭스 방정식을 유도하고, 수치해석을 위한 알고리즘을 제안하며 API 보고서의 결과와 비교함으로써 제안된 모델이 검증된다. 또한, 기하학적 비선형성으로 인한 영향을 조사하였다.

Analysis of Random Ship Rolling Using Partial Stochastic Linearization (통계적 부분선형화 방법을 이용한 선체의 불규칙 횡동요 운동의 해석)

  • In order to analyze the rolling motion of a ship in random beam waves we use the partial stochastic linearization method. The quadratic damping and the nonlinear restoring moments given by the odd polynomials up to the 11th order are added to a single degree of freedom linear equation of roll motion. The irregular excitation moment is assumed to be the Gaussian white noise. The statistical characteristics of the response by the partial stochastic linearization method is compared with results by the equivalent linearization method and Monte Carlo simulation. It is fecund that the partial stochastic linearization method is not necessarily superior to the equivalent linearization method.

  • MEMS accelerometer provides a low cost alternative in retrieving the acceleration signal for motion sensing. Theoretically, displacement can be calculated by double integrate the acceleration signal. However, in practical, it could not be done in straight forward manner due to several factors that exist in the real world. This experiment focuses on the processes from practical accelerometer signal acquisition till the result of double integration for low frequency vertical motion.

구속 받는 유연 매니퓨레이터의 병렬 위치/힘 제어

  • 본 논문에서는 환경에 구속 받는 유연 매니퓨레이터의 힘/위치에 대하여 논하고자 한다. 일반적으로, 유연 매니퓨레이터의 모델링 방법은 분포 정수 모델과 집중 정수 모델로 분류할 수 있다. 전자인 분포 정수 모델을 이용해서는 평면 1 링크, 2 링크를 대상으로 한 위치/힘 제어는 가능하나, 운동 방정식의 복잡성으로 인하여 실시간에서 다 링크 다 관절 유연 매니퓨레이터의 힘/위치를 제어하기는 어렵게 여겨져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 집중 정수 모델링 방법인 집중 스프링 질량 모델(Lumped Spring Mass Model)을 이용하여 환경에 구속받는 유연 매니퓨레이터의 운동 방정식을 산출했다 이 모델을 실험기인 유연 매니퓨레이터 ADAM(Aerospace Dual Arm Manipulators)에 적용하여 실시간 위치/힘 제어 실험을 행하였으며, MATLAB를 이용하여 해석했다. 또한, ADAMS$^{TM}$ FEM를 이용하여 분포 정수 모델을 도출하여, 해석하였으며, 이 결과와 집중 정수 모델을 이용한 MATLAB 해석의 결과, 그리고 실험 결과를 비교 분석하여 본 논문에서 제안한 구속받는 유연 매니퓨레이터의 집중 정수 모델 타당성을 입증시켰다.
