A Study on Development of Dump Truck Route Exploration System (토공 운반경로 탐색 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study presents a geographic information system based dump truck route exploring system (DRES) which provides construction managers and hauling operators with efficient route information that can improve earthmoving productivity by reducing hauling time. The system is comprised of Network Analyst from Esri as a route exploring engine and a network data model. The network data model includes information on weight limit of bridges, height limit of pedestrian overpasses, and one way that impedes dump trucks' hauling efficiency. A construction manager is expected to input origin and destination point in the user interface, and the system generates an efficient route that avoids bridges with weight limit or pedestrian overpasses with height limit. The system was applied to a real earthmoving project to test its applicability, and it was found that the system functions as intended.

A Study on Detection of Small Size Malicious Code using Data Mining Method (데이터 마이닝 기법을 이용한 소규모 악성코드 탐지에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the abuse of Internet technology has caused economic and mental harm to society as a whole. Especially, malicious code that is newly created or modified is used as a basic means of various application hacking and cyber security threats by bypassing the existing information protection system. However, research on small-capacity executable files that occupy a large portion of actual malicious code is rather limited. In this paper, we propose a model that can analyze the characteristics of known small capacity executable files by using data mining techniques and to use them for detecting unknown malicious codes. Data mining analysis techniques were performed in various ways such as Naive Bayesian, SVM, decision tree, random forest, artificial neural network, and the accuracy was compared according to the detection level of virustotal. As a result, more than 80% classification accuracy was verified for 34,646 analysis files.

  • Intelligent maritime traffic information service for maritime traffic safety operates a service that provides safe and efficient optimal safety routes considering information such as water depth, maritime safety law, weather information, and fuel consumption. However, from a service user's point of view, they prefer a route that suits their personal navigation experience and style, such as unnecessary detours and conservative safety distances for maritime objects. In this study, the optimal safety route can be extracted based on the experience of service users without reflecting the separate maritime environment by adjusting the weight of the trunk line for the area where the ship frequently navigates with the ship's track data collected through LTE-M model was studied.

  • Storage tanks of Carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) carriers utilized for the purpose of carbon capture and storage (CCS) into subsea strata have to undergo a pre-cooling session before beginning to load cryogenic liquid cargos in order to prevent physical and thermal deterioration of tanks which may result from cryogenic $CO_2$ contacting tank walls directly. In this study we propose dynamic model to calculate the tank inflow of $CO_2$ gas injected for precooling process and its dynamic simulation results under proportional-integral control algorithm. We selected two cases in which each of them had one controlled variable (CV) as either the tank pressure or the tank temperature and discussed the results of that decision-making on the pre-cooling process. As a result we demonstrated that the controlling instability arising from nonlinearity and singularity of the mathematical model could be avoided by choosing tank pressure as CV instead of tank temperature.

  • 물리적인 조류제어 기술에 해당하는 수류 차단막(이후 차단막)은 유입하천의 수류를 차단 또는 우회시켜 영양염류가 저수지의 유광층으로 공급되는 것을 차단하고 본류 수역으로의 조류 확산을 방지하는 기능이 있어 일본에서는 저수지 녹조제어 대책으로 자주 활용된 바 있다. 그러나 이러한 차단막은 국내 저수지와 같이 홍수시 유입 유속이 크고 수위변동이 심한 환경에서는 설치효과가 검증되지 않아 현장적용에 앞서 수치모의를 통한 효과 검증이 선행되어야 하며, 최적 규모와 위치 선정도 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 수위변동이 심한 국내 저수지 특성을 고려하여 차단막이 수위변화에 따라 상하로 이동할 수 있도록 기존 CE-QUAL-W2(이후W2) 모델의 알고리즘을 수정하고, 대청호에서 다양한 수리 수문조건에서 차단막의 기작과 효과를 예측하기 위해 가뭄년(2001년)과 평수년(2004, 2006년)을 대상으로 각각 모델을 적용하였다. 차단막 설치 예정지점은 소옥천 하류(7 m 깊이)와 댐으로부터 각각 14.9 km, 27.4 km 상류에 위치한 회남대교 아래 지점(10 m 깊이)과 대정리(10 m 깊이)로 가정하고, 모의 시나리오는 차단막을 설치하지 않은 경우(S-1), 소옥천 하류에 단독으로 설치한 경우(S-2), 소옥천과 대정리에 설치한 경우(S-3), 모든 지점에 설치한 경우(S-4)를 비교하였다. 차단막 설치에 따른 수문년 및 계절별 수질개선 효과(S-1에 대한 S-4 농도 저감 비)를 비교한 결과, 대청호에서 녹조문제가 가장 심각했던 2001년 6월$^{\sim}$8월 기간 동안 차단막은 봄-여름에 걸쳐 모든 비교 지점(회남, 댐, 추동, 문의수역)에서 Chl-a 농도를 최저(문의수역) 30%에서 최고(회남수역) 70% 정도 저감하는 효과를나타냈다. 평수년인 2004년과 2006년에는 강우사상에 따라 차단막 설치에 따른 Chl-a의 농도 저감 효과가 지점별로 다르게 나타났으며, 큰 강우사상이 6월, 7월, 8월에 걸쳐 골고루 발생한 2004년에 비해 7월 한 달 동안 집중된 2006년에 설치효과가 크게 나타났다. 수역별로 차단막의 설치효과를 비교해 보면, 유입수의 영향을 직접 받는 회남수역과 추동수역이 댐 앞과 문의수역에 비해 차단막 설치에 따른 Chl-a 농도의 저감 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 큰 홍수가 유입할 때 차단막 상류부에 집적된 조류의 일부가 수류의 포획(Entrainment) 기작에 의해 저수지 내부로 유입되는 것으로 확인되어 차단막 효과를 극대화하기 위해서는 홍수 전 차단막 상류부에 집적된 조류의 처리대책이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

Effect of Cyclic Injection on Migration and Trapping of Immiscible Fluids in Porous Media (공극 구조 내 교차 주입이 비혼성 유체의 포획 및 거동에 미치는 영향)

  • In geological $CO_2$ sequestration, the behavior of $CO_2$ within a reservoir can be characterized as two-phase flow in a porous media. For two phase flow, these processes include drainage, when a wetting fluid is displaced by a non-wetting fluid and imbibition, when a non-wetting fluid is displaced by a wetting fluid. In $CO_2$ sequestration, an understanding of drainage and imbibition processes and the resulting NW phase residual trapping are of critical importance to evaluate the impacts and efficiencies of these displacement process. This study aimed to observe migration and residual trapping of immiscible fluids in porous media via cyclic injection of drainage-imbibition. For this purpose, cyclic injection experiments by applying n-hexane and deionized water used as proxy fluid of $scCO_2$ and pore water were conducted in the two dimensional micromodel. The images from experiment were used to estimate the saturation and observed distribution of n-hexane and deionized water over the course drainage-imbibition cycles. Experimental results showed that n-hexane and deionized water are trapped by wettability, capillarity, dead end zone, entrapment and bypassing during $1^{st}$ drainage-imbibition cycle. Also, as cyclic injection proceeds, the flow path is simplified around the main flow path in the micromodel, and the saturation of injection fluid converges to remain constant. Experimental observation results can be used to predict the migration and distribution of $CO_2$ and pore water by reservoir environmental conditions and drainage-imbibition cycles.

COMPARISON OF FLUX AND RESIDENT CONCENTRATION BREAKTHROUGH CURVES IN STRUCTURED SOIL COLUMNS (구조토양에서의 침출수와 잔존수농도의 파과곡선에 관한 비교연구)

  • In many solute transport studies, either flux or resident concentration has been used. Choice of the concentration mode was dependent on the monitoring device in solute displacement experiments. It has been accepted that no priority exists in the selection of concentration mode in the study of solute transport. It would be questionable, however, to accept the equivalency in the solute transport parameters between flux and resident concentrations in structured soils exhibiting preferential movement of solute. In this study, we investigate how they differ in the monitored breakthrough curves (BTCs) and transport parameters for a given boundary and flow condition by performing solute displacement experiments on a number of undisturbed soil columns. Both flux and resident concentrations have been simultaneously obtained by monitoring the effluent and resistance of the horizontally-positioned TDR probes. Two different solute transport models namely, convection-dispersion equation (CDE) and convective lognormal transfer function (CLT) models, were fitted to the observed breakthrough data in order to quantify the difference between two concentration modes. The study reveals that soil columns having relatively high flux densities exhibited great differences in the degree of peak concentration and travel time of peak between flux and resident concentrations. The peak concentration in flux mode was several times higher than that in resident one. Accordingly, the estimated parameters of flux mode differed greatly from those of resident mode and the difference was more pronounced in CDE than CLT model. Especially in CDE model, the parameters of flux mode were much higher than those of resident mode. This was mainly due to the bypassing of solute through soil macropores and failure of the equilibrium CDE model to adequate description of solute transport in studied soils. In the domain of the relationship between the ratio of hydrodynamic dispersion to molecular diffusion and the peclet number, both concentrations fall on a zone of predominant mechanical dispersion. However, it appears that more molecular diffusion contributes to the solute spreading in the matrix region than the macropore region due to the nonliearity present in the pore water velocity and dispersion coefficient relationship.

A Simulation-Based Investigation of an Advanced Traveler Information System with V2V in Urban Network (시뮬레이션기법을 통한 차량 간 통신을 이용한 첨단교통정보시스템의 효과 분석 (도시 도로망을 중심으로))

  • More affordable and available cutting-edge technologies (e.g., wireless vehicle communication) are regarded as a possible alternative to the fixed infrastructure-based traffic information system requiring the expensive infrastructure investments and mostly implemented in the uninterrupted freeway network with limited spatial system expansion. This paper develops an advanced decentralized traveler information System (ATIS) using vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication system whose performance (drivers' travel time savings) are enhanced by three complementary functions (autonomous automatic incident detection algorithm, reliable sample size function, and driver behavior model) and evaluates it in the typical $6{\times}6$ urban grid network with non-recurrent traffic state (traffic incident) with the varying key parameters (traffic flow, communication radio range, and penetration ratio), employing the off-the-shelf microscopic simulation model (VISSIM) under the ideal vehicle communication environment. Simulation outputs indicate that as the three key parameters are increased more participating vehicles are involved for traffic data propagation in the less communication groups at the faster data dissemination speed. Also, participating vehicles saved their travel time by dynamically updating the up-to-date traffic states and searching for the new route. Focusing on the travel time difference of (instant) re-routing vehicles, lower traffic flow cases saved more time than higher traffic flow ones. This is because a relatively small number of vehicles in 300vph case re-route during the most system-efficient time period (the early time of the traffic incident) but more vehicles in 514vph case re-route during less system-efficient time period, even after the incident is resolved. Also, normally re-routings on the network-entering links saved more travel time than any other places inside the network except the case where the direct effect of traffic incident triggers vehicle re-routings during the effective incident time period and the location and direction of the incident link determines the spatial distribution of re-routing vehicles.

Power Shift and Media Empowerment (언론의 정치권력화 - 재벌 정책 보도의 정권별 비교 연구)

  • The power of media has always been problematic in the countries of full press freedom. Originally, the media used to be an effective vehicle for communication within human beings. However, it exerts an overwhelming power toward human society. Through applying the well-known four dog models in terms of media function, this study attempts to examine how the press media in South Korea transformed themselves into another powerful independent organization or institution after regime shift in 1987. The whole editorials of four sampled newspapers were analyzed through frame analysis model. The ChosunIlbo, known as a conservative and pro-government paper, shows to take the role of supporting chaebol policies under Roh TaeWoo Administration. However, it criticizing sharply against the chaebol policies of Roh MooHyun Administration. The JoongangIlbo, known as a pro-chaebol paper, appears anti-government position through the entire four administrations in terms of chaebol policies. Particularly, it reveals hostile editorial coverage during the Roh MooHyun Administration. However, KyunghyangShinmun, currently known as a liberal paper, viewed somewhat complicated positions (see text in more detail) because of its ownership turbulence during the past twenty years. On the other hand, Hangyoreh, regarded as a progressive paper, keeps in supportive attitude consistently against the four sampled administrations as far as regulating each government policies for chaebols.

Integration Application of Node-Link Data Using Open LR Method (Open LR 기법을 이용한 노드-링크 데이터의 통합활용 방안에 관한 연구)

  • This paper analyzes the range and attributes of the traffic information service between domestic public institutions and private companies, and suggests the possibility of joint application of node-link information for each company and the possibility of joint use of private traffic information. For this purpose, the present condition and attributes of domestic and foreign traffic information node-links (link length, node ID number, U-turn information, lane information, left turn information, right turn information, etc.) were analyzed. The analysis targets, the node-link of the national standard node and the two companies were analyzed. The area of the experiment was selected in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where standard-link information is complex, traffic volume is high, and various standard-links exist. The experiment was conducted by comparing and analyzing the traffic information attributes of three types of node-links and performing node-links overlapping matching (utilizing encoding_decoding method), and the possibility of matching node-links and attributes of different specifications was analyzed using Open LR technique.
