Numerical Analysis on Temperature Characteristics of the Voice-Coil for Woofer Speaker Using Ferrofluid (자성유체를 이용한 우퍼 스피커의 보이스 코일 온도 특성에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • This article is to numerically investigate the temperature and heat transfer characteristics of the voice coil in the woofer speaker using ferrofluid with the input currents. The temperature and heat transfer of the major components of the woofer speakers with and without ferrofluid are calculated and analyzed with the increase of the input currents from 10 W to 50 W at an interval of 10W. As results, the temperature of voice coil is linearly increased with an increase of input currents. The temperature of the woofer speaker with ferrofluid is lower 51.0 % than that of the woofer speaker without ferrofluid at the condition of input current 40W and the required input current of the woofer speaker with ferrofluid is lower 42.5 % than that of the woofer speaker without ferrofluid at the condition of voice coil temperature 490 K. In addition, the heat transfer from voice coil to other components for woofer speaker with ferrofluid is higher 51.7 % than that for woofer speaker without ferrofluid.

  • 본 연구에서는 스피커 전용 해석 소프트웨어를 이용 하이파이용 우퍼에 대한 해석결과를 기술하였다. 전용 소프트웨어를 사용하는 경우에는 범용 소프트웨어에 비하여 다양한 경계조건을 갖는 경우에는 적용할 수 없다. 해석 대상은 무한배플에 장학된 하이파이용 우퍼로서 다이아프램의 breakup 현상을 예측할 수 있었다. 또한, 다이아프램의 두께 변경과 다양한 재료 및 힘 요소의 크기에 따른 하이파이용 라우드스피커의 음향특성들을 파악할 수가 있었다.

Experimental study on the heat transfer characteristics of woofer speaker unit (우퍼 스피커 유닛의 열전달 특성에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to experimentally investigate the heat transfer characteristics of 200W woofer speaker unit with the input voice signals such as 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, and 3000 Hz. The temperature and heat transfer characteristics of the woofer speaker unit were evaluated with the input signals. As results. the temperature of the voice-coil for woofer speaker unit increased with a decrease of the input signals and the temperature differences between parts of the tested speaker unit increased with the decrease of the input voice signals. In addition, the voice-coil temperature for the input signal of 500 Hz showed 48.4 % lower than that of 3000 Hz during 18000 sec.

  • 음장 합성 기법은 라우드스피커 어레이를 사용하여 보다 넓은 청취 공간을 제공하는 음향 재생 기법이다. 이를 이용한 렌더링 성능을 좌우하는 요소 중 하나로 스피커의 간격이 있다. 스피커의 간격은 앨리어싱 주파수와 직접적인 관계가 있으며 간격이 좁을수록 높은 성능을 보인다. 그런데 좁은 간격의 어레이를 사용하는 경우 라우드스피커의 저역 한계 주파수가 높아지게 마련이며 따라서 필수적으로 저주파 대역을 위한 서브 우퍼를 사용해야 한다. 이런 경우에 서브 우퍼에 의한 음상정위 오류가 있을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 선행 효과를 이용하여 이 문제에 대한 해결방안을 제시한다.

  • In this paper, computational analysis and experiments of subwoofer for car audio speaker system were performed and discussed to analyze acoustical phenomena for subwoofer. Ported enclosure system with subwoofer were manufactured and provided for test and simulation purposes. Subwoofer with single voice coil and double voice coil were identified by linear and nonlinear parameter identification method for loudspeaker parameters. For high power inputs to subwoofer, sound pressure levels were compared according to input powers with linear and nonlinear loudspeaker models. For subwoofer system with high power nonlinear speaker model was showed to be adequate to describe the behaviour of loudspeaker.

  • 공연장음향성능에 영향을 미치는 중요한 부자재중의 하나인 음향반사판의 면밀도 변화에 따른 흡음특성 변화를 조사하였다. 음향반사판은 목질계반사판으로 밀도 변화는 $11\;㎏/m^2{\sim}41k\;㎏/m^2$으로 총 3개의 시료를 대상으로 측정하였다. 저주파 대역에서의 흡음률을 측정하기 위하여 서브우퍼와 무지향성 스피커를 사용하였으며 측정결과 중고주파수 대역의 흡음률은 면밀도 변화에 따라 큰 차이가 없었으나 저주파수 대역의 흡음률을 면밀도 변화에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 음악 공연 공간내의 음향반사판의 면밀도 변화에 따른 실내 음향 특성 변화 및 설계지침에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • In this paper, It was describe the processes of development of HiFi speaker system. Woofer and tweeter were fabricated by unskilled students and their 1.5 parameters were identified by known mass method. Based on T-S parameters port enclosure was designed and built by means of software. Acoustic radiation phenomena of port enclosure were simulated and compared to test result. Acoustic pressure difference between lower frequency and higher frequency was flattened by adopting optimal crossover network. Finally, built HiFi speaker system was showed good sound quality and sound pressure and electrical impedance was well agreed with test results each other.

High Quality Multi-Channel Audio System for Karaoke Using DSP (DSP를 이용한 가라오케용 고음질 멀티채널 오디오 시스템)

  • This paper deals with the realization of multi-channel live karaoke. In this study, 6-channel MP3 decoding and tempo/key scaling was operated in real time by using the TMS320C6713 DSP, which is 32 bit floating-point DSP made by TI Co. The 6 channel consists of front L/R instrument, rear L/R instrument, melody, and woofer. In case of the 4 channel, rear L/R instrument can be replaced with drum L/R channel. And the final output data is generated as adjusted to a 5.1 channel speaker. The SOLA algorithm was applied for tempo scaling, and key scaling was done with interpolation and decimation in the time domain. Drum channel was excluded in key scaling by separating instruments into drums and non-drums, and in processing SOLA, high-quality tempo scaling was made possible by differentiating SOLA frame size, which was optimized for real-time process. The use of 6 channels allows the composition of various channels, and the multi-channel audio system of this study can be effectively applied at any place where live music is needed.
