Factor augmentation for cryptocurrency return forecasting (암호화폐 수익률 예측력 향상을 위한 요인 강화)

  • In this study, we propose factor augmentation to improve forecasting power of cryptocurrency return. We consider financial and economic variables as well as psychological aspect for possible factors. To be more specific, financial and economic factors are obtained by applying principal factor analysis. Psychological factor is summarized by news sentiment analysis. We also visualize such factors through impulse response analysis. In the modeling perspective, we consider ARIMAX as the classical model, and random forest and deep learning to accommodate nonlinear features. As a result, we show that factor augmentation reduces prediction error and the GRU performed the best amongst all models considered.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of individual and environmental factors on the career identity of Chinese-Korean adolescents in Yanbian, China. Academic achievement and self-esteem were considered as individual factors, and parent attachment and teacher attachment were considered as environmental factors. This study sought to answer the question "Which individual and environmental factors had an effect on the career identity of Chinese-Korean adolescents in Yanbian, China?" The data was collected from 290 middle school students in Yanbian, China through the use of a survey. The results were as follows: self-esteem as an individual factor and teacher attachment as an environmental factor were found to have a significant effect on career identity. Also, teacher attachment as an environmental factor had the greatest effect on career identity. In the conclusion, we considered theoretical and practical implications of this study to improve the career identity of Chinese-Korean adolescents in China.

The Clinical Usefulness of a Repeat Urine Culture 48 Hours after Antimicrobial treatment in Anatomically Normal and Abnormal Urinary Tract Infection (소아 요로 감염증 환아의 항생제 치료 48시간 후 반복적 요 배양 검사의 임상적 유용성)

  • Purpose : We aimed to compare the frequency of positive repeat urine cultures 48 hours after antimicrobial treatment between anatomically normal and abnormal urinary tract Infection (UTI) groups to determine the potential clinical usefulness of the tests. Methods : We reviewed medical records of 930 patients under age 14, who had been admitted for UTI at Gyeongsang National University Hospital from January 1, 1998 to August 1, 2008. The eligible patients were divided into two groups the anatomically normal UTI group and the anatomically abnormal UTI group. Statistical analyses were performed with variables consisting of the sex ratio, age distribution and the frequency of positive repeat urine cultures of each group. Results : The sex ratio of the anatomically normal UTI group was M:F=1.9:1, whereas that of the anatomically abnormal UTI group was M:F=3.5:1 (P=0.019). For age distribution, it was found that the mean age of the anatomically normal UTI group was $0.82{\pm}1.83$ years, whereas that of the anatomically abnormal UTI group was $1.18{\pm}2.57$ years (P=0.113). The frequency of positive repeat urine cultures in the anatomically normal UTI group was 3/279 (1.1%), whereas that of the anatomically abnormal UTI group was 1/90 (1.1%) (P=0.675). Conclusion : We conclude that performing a repeat urine culture is not justified in terms of clinical usefulness, and it is unreasonable to use the results as an index of therapeutic success. A follow-up urine culture is unnecessary in patients with both the anatomically normal and abnormal UTI group.

  • 생산성은 프로젝트를 관리하는데 있어서 효율성을 측정하는 중요한 지표이다 또한 건설 생산성은 비용 및 일정과 연관성이 있을 뿐만 아니라 프로젝트의 성공 여부와도 관련이 크다. 프로젝트에서 생산성의 중요성에도 불구하고 국내에서의 생산성 관련 연구는 생산성에 대한 기본 개념 및 원칙에 관한 기초적인 연구 없이 정량적인 연구에 집중되어 있으며, 관련 데이터 수도 적은 실정이다. 국내 건설 공사의 생산성을 향상시키기 위해서는 생산성 관리의 정량적친 요인뿐만 아니라, 정성적인 요인까지 관리해야 하며, 저하요인에 따른 체계적이고 세부적인 프로세스 및 기법이 제시되어야 한다 이에 국내 건설 공사의 생산성 관리에 린 건설을 도입하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 국내 생산성 저하요인과 린 건설에서의 Waste 요인과의 상관관계 분석을 통해 국내 건설 공사 현장에서의 Waste 주요 의미를 살펴보고 두 요인간의 상호 관련성을 파악하여, 린 건설의 프로세스 및 기법을 국내 건설 공사 현장에 적용하기 위한 이론적인 근거를 제공하고자 한다.

The Factor Structure of Customer Satisfaction in Libraries (도서관의 이용자 만족도 요인 구조 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate asymmetric and nonlinear nature of the relationship between service attributes and global customer satisfaction, and to identify improvement strategies of service quality in libraries. In this study, two methods(such as kano's analysis and importance grid) were used to analyze the factor structure of customer satisfaction in libraries. The results show that two quality elements are classified as excitement factors, twelve quality elements are sorted as hybrid factor and eight quality elements are classified as dissatisfiers.

Affective conceptual components of facial beauty (아름다운 얼굴의 감성적 구성 개념)

  • 한국인 20대 여성 얼굴을 대표하는 30개 얼굴의 감성 형용사 평정을 통해 아름다운 얼굴의 감성 특징을 파악하였다. 얼굴 감성을 나타내는 14개 형용사 평정에 대해 주성분 분석을 실시한 결과 얼굴 감성은 샤프 요인과 소프트 요인으로 나뉘며, 사람들이 소프트한 느낌보다 샤프한 느낌을 지닌 얼굴을 더 아름답다고 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 아름다운 얼굴의 감성 특징 검증을 위해 얼굴 합성법을 이용하여 합성한 이미지에 대해 얼굴 미모와 감성 형용사 평정을 실시하였다. '상위 평균' 이미지는 '전체 평균' 이미지보다, 전체 평균과 상위 평균의 얼굴 특징 차이를 50% 과장한 '상위+50' 이미지는 '상위 평균' 이미지보다 유의미하게 더 아름다운 것으로 평정되었다. 합성 얼굴의 감성 평정 결과 '전체 평균' 이미지는 소프트 감성에서 높은 평정을 받았으며, '상위 평균' 이미지는 샤프 감성, '상위150'이미지는 두 감성 요인을 모두 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 샤프 혹은 소프트 중 하나의 감성 요인이 두드러진 얼굴보다 두 가지 감성 요인 모두에서 높은 평정을 받은 얼굴을 더욱 아름답다고 지각하는 것을 암시한다.

  • 최근 내수경기의 불황에도 불구하고 지속적인 고성장세를 보이고 있는 TV홈쇼핑 시장에 대한 산업 전체적인 측면에서 경쟁요인을 분석하였다. 그 결과로써 정부와 업계에 향후 TV 홈쇼핑 시장의 발전 방향을 제시하고 국내 유통시장의 발전추세와 구조적 특성을 파악함으로써 정책적인 제언을 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 TV홈쇼핑 시장의 경쟁요인을 외부경쟁요인과 내부경쟁요인으로 분류하였다. 구체적으로 외부경쟁요인은 업태 특징에 의한 경쟁요인과 국내ㆍ외적 유통산업 변화추세에 따른 경쟁요인으로, 내부경쟁요인은 CATV 시청자구수의 변화, 신규사업자 진출, 시장집중도, 수익률 향상 전략, SO채널확보 및 투자 인터넷쇼핑몰 운영 등으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 이러한 TV 홈쇼핑 시장의 내부ㆍ외부경쟁요인의 도출을 통해 업계에는 효율적인 전략의 일환으로 인터넷쇼핑몰의 매출비중확대, M-Commerce와 B2B 전자상거래 부분으로의 사업확대, 온라인과 오프라인의 연계방안 강구를 통한 틈새시장개발, 고객정보 확보를 통한 CRM, SCM 활용 및 개발 등을 제시하고, 정부에는 업체간 경쟁유발을 통한 소비자의 편익증대, 경쟁확대로 인한 소비자 피해최소화, 유통 인프라에 대한 투자확대 및 제도 보완 등을 정책방향으로 제시하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 교육행정의 합리화와 정보화를 위해 일선 교육현장에서 구축되어 활용하고 있는 교육행정정보시스템(National Education Information System; NEIS)에 대해 시스템의 운용실태와 문제점을 분석하고 NEIS의 효과적인 활용방안을 모색하기 위한 목적을 가지고 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구에서 NEIS의 효과적인 활용에 영향을 미치는 영향을 도출하여, 이를 계층화하여 계층모델을 구성하고 구성요인의 중요도 평가를 통해 NEIS의 효과적 활용방안을 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 NEIS의 성과분석을 위하여 성과척도를 관리적 요인과 기술적 요인별로 분류하고 각 요인별 중요변수를 설정하였고, NEIS의 효과적 활용에 미치는 요인의 중요성 산출을 위하여 Fuzzy AHP 기법을 이용하여 1단계 관리적 요인 및 기술적 요인과 그 하위 요인을 구성하여 중요 요인간 분석을 실시하였다.

Adjustment effect of the suitability factors of strategy between Information Technology Outsourcing(ITO)'s influence and outcome factors in Government offices (전략의 적합성 요인이 ITO 영향요인과 성과요인 간에 미치는 조절효과 - 공공기관 중심으로)

  • This study analyzed that adjustment roles of the organization and Information System strategy suitability factors between influence and introduction outcome factors in the IT outsourcing in government offices. Influence factors of IT outsourcing are organization factor(information system maturity, CEO's support), trade factor(asset speciality, uncertainty, using degree of information system), risk factor(risk of security, risk of increase in cost, risk of losing autonomy). And outcome factors are set as economic effect and technology effect. We analyzed that organization and IS strategy suitability factors as moderator variables. Results are the followings. It was analyzed that organization and IS strategy suitability factors are in charge of adjusting role among information system maturity which is lower variable of organization factor, CEO's support, uncertainty of trade factor's lower variable, risk of security which is risk factor's lower variable, risk of increase in cost, loss of autonomy. Therefore, in order for organization to increase the outcome of information technology, organization strategy and IS strategy should be promoted in combined manner. However, it was analyzed that strategy suitability could not take the adjusting role between asset specialty and introduction outcome.

A Study on Weight of SWOT Factors for Korea Food Service Franchise Entrepreneur (국내 외식프랜차이즈의 창업을 위한 SWOT요인의 중요도에 관한 연구)

  • The International Monetary Fund (IMF) crisis introduced a system for easy layoffs. With recent economic downturn, employees have been asked to retire early and less new jobs have become available. More small businesses as a result have been started. The purpose of this research is to study weight and ranking on SWOT factors of korea food service franchise industry using the SWOT analysis. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) were used to analyze the SWOT found by the surveys. First, the SWOT analysis shows that the franchise owners and the expert group view the industry positively overall and there are more strengths, opportunities than weaknesses, threats. While there are negatives and threats to the industry overall, many people think that there are more opportunities and positive aspects. Second, the franchise owners rank proven business model and platform (S3) as the strongest strength of food service franchise businesses while the expert group ranks management supports (S2) from headquarters as the strongest strength. Third, the expert group and franchise owner group indicate that the weight on unfair franchise contracts with headquarters(W3) and high penalty from breaking a franchise agreement(W4) are 60% of weaknesses. Fourth, both the expert group and franchise owner group indicate that change in people's lifestyle, value system and consumption pattern(O3) as the most important opportunity. Fifth, both groups indicate that changes in consumption pattern(T1) due to ever changing food service industry as the biggest threat. It is ranked higher than the entry of korea food service franchises.
