주로 영어, 불어 등의 형상적 언어(configurational languages)의 구문 분석을 위해 개발된 범주 문법은 문장 구성 성분의 문장 내의 위치가 대체적으로 고정적이며 통사 기능이 그 위치로서 할당 되는 형상적 언어의 통사적인 특성에 따라 방향성의 개념을 도입하였다. 그러나 이 방향성 개념은 문장 구성 성분의 문장 내의 위치가 비교적 자유로운 한국어 등의 비형상적 언어(non-configurational languages)에 그대로 적용하기에는 많은 무리가 따른다. 심지어 형상적 언어에 적용하는 경우에도 도치나 외치된 문장 또 격리된 구조(unbounded dependency constructions)가 있는 문장들도 적절히 분석해 내지 못한다. 이런 이유로 본고에서는 범주 문법에 도입되어 있는 방향성을 재고하고 아울러 한국어 구문 분석과 문장 생성을 위한 범주 문법 적용상의 다섯 원칙을 제안한다.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the classification methods of the external treatments of atopic dermatitis for Children. Methods: We surveyed the oriental medical book concerning the atopic dermatitis for Children. Results : 1. The oriental herbal medications for the atopic dermatitis used with Ryuhwang(硫?), WoongHwang(雄黃), KyoungBun(輕粉), WhangBaek(黃栢), SeokGo(石膏) and so on. 2. The frequently used type of external prescription is solid or liquid. 3. The external preparations were frequently painted or washing with to the lesion of dermatitis. For the wet type of atopic dermatitis, the solid prescription were sprinkled on the lesion or irrigated with the liquid. For the dry type, the mixed prescription of the solid and liquid were painted on the lesion.

Object : In this study, the effect of herbal external therapy, aromatherapy, herb medication against atopic dermatitis was investigated. Method : Atopic dermatitis grade and the effect of medication was determined using Kunz type and SCORAD index. Atopic dermatitos lesion was checked by taking pictures Result : The patient's admission SCORAD index was 74.2 but during 32 days admission treatment the patients's symptoms are getting reduced. At last when she discharged, the SCORAD index was 16.1. Conclusion : In this study, herbal external therapy, aromatherapy and herb medication were shown to treat atopic dermatitis effectively by decreasing itching, oozing, crust, dryness, lichenification. It is very possible that external therapy can offer a valuable mode of the treatment of not only atopic dermatitis but also another eczema.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Fermented Yungyo Keumeunhwa Extract External treatment Liquid on Seborrheic Dermatitis. Methods : Four Seborrheic Dermatitis patients on the face of each Diluted Yungyo Keumeunhwa Extract External treatment Liquid patch was 10 minutes. Results : The Fermented Yungyo Keumeunhwa Extract External treatment Liquid was effective on alleviation of symptoms like flare, scale, uredo and pricking on Seborrheic Dermatitis. Conclusions : The result indicate that Fermented Yungyo Keumeunhwa Extract External treatment Liquid has an available effect on Seborrheic Dermatitis, and authors consider that the additional clinical studies are needed to verify the effectiveness of monotherapy.

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease characterized by intense pruritus and the course marked by exacerbation and remission. It has the characteristic symptoms of dry, itchy, scaly skin with cracks by typical distribution of lesions. Even though the etiology of atopic dermatitis is not fully understood, it is considered an allergic reaction whose onset is frequently and strongly associated with both hereditary and environmental factors. In the present clinical study, we studied the efficacy of internal herb-medicine, external herb medicine - ex. dermal oints, aqueous solutions, etc -, and steam therapy. The patient's SCORAD index was lowered 55.8 than before of which the SCORAD index was 74.8. On the basis of this study, it should be considered that the treatment of atopic dermatitis should be focused on the external therapy as steam therapy, dermal oint, a aqueous solution etc.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the results of preceding research related external treatment for Atopic dermatitis(AD). Methods : We studied the 13 research papers that had been published in The Journal of Korean Oriental Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology, The Journal of Korean Oriental Pediatrics, The Journal of Korean Oriental Internal Medicine, The Journal of Korean Oriental Medicine, Korean Journal of Oriental Physiology & Pathology and so on. Results : About 13 treatises, 3 treatises were for the literatual study, I treatise was for the clinical research about the effects of external therapy, 3 treatises were for the effects of herbal medicine along with external treatment on AD development in NC/Nga mice, 6 treatises were for the case of AD. Conclusion : These treatises showed that external treatment is effective method to improve AD. To develop the better external treatment on AD, we have need of studies on the well used prescriptions and herbs through double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled methods, clinic research and so on.

Objective : "HangYak" and "GuGeupBang" were used as a book title in "HangYakGuGeupBang". Therefore we can examine the early years of the medical of HangYak and the medical of first-aid. Methods : We studied the contents and the characteristics of Acupuncture and External treatments which were presented in "HangYakGuGeupBang". We searched the practical meaning of the publishing it too. According to "HangYakGuGeupBang". Results : Acupuncture was performed as a simple external treatment; however moxibustion was used for various symptoms in several ways. In addition, many external treatments such as hot massages, the treatment of bath and dropping lotion in the eyes were introduced in "HangYakGuGeupBang". We believe that these materials were easily gotten around us so people who lived in a poor and remote village without a doctor could apply with ease if they learned these contents. Conclusions : As a result it can say that "HangYakGuGeupBang" was published as a practical book which could be used simply even though people didn't have enough medical knowledge nor examined inside and outside-heat and cold.

1) Objective External treatments have various curative effects. So it had been used to cure various patients. But, it has a limited sphere of application in the present South Korea. Therefore we would like to bring out its sphere of application and detailed method in the oriental medicine classics. 2) Conclusions From long time ago people have used external treatment to cure various disease. According to the ${\lceil}Nei-Jing{\rfloor}$, hot compress therapy, fumigation therapy and bathing therapy had been used to cure blockage syndrome, muscle disease, carbuncle and cellulitis. Thereafter, a sphere of external treatment had gradually enlarged. (1) After all its sphere had included dermatologic, psychologic, internal, ophthalmic, otolaryngologic, obstetrics, gynecologic, pediatric and surgical diseases. (2) External treatment methods have contained hot compress therapy, fumigation therapy, bathing therapy, application therapy, medication bag therapy, medication plug therapy, medication massotherapy, aroma therapy and so on. (3) Medication types of external treatment have contained ointment, juice, infusion, powder, suppository and so on.

1) Objective External treatments have various curative effects. So it had been used to cure various patients. But, it has a limited sphere of application in the present South Korea. And the ${\ulcorner}$Li-Yao-Pian-Won${\lrcorner}$ had been written by Wu-Shang-Xian(吳尙先) in 1864. The book is the first technical book of external treatments. So, he has been held in respected as the father of external treatments by many people. Therefore we would like to bring out it’s external treatments theory 2) Conclusions Wu-Shang-Xian(吳尙先) had insisted that external treatments principles are identical with internal treatments. So, prescriptions of external treatment are selected and made by principles of internal treatment. (1) The factors of determination external treatment’s methods are focus (meridian, inside and outside etc.), attribute of diseases, patient’s liking. (2) The treatment regions are decided by meridian theory, diseases region and external treatment’s methods.

Objectives : Pruritus is a skin disorder that usually occurs in the elderly. The purpose of this study is to report the effect of external preparation containing Ponciri fructus and Radix lithospermi on senile pruritus and xeroderma with liver cirrhosis.Methods : We treated 85-years-old liver cirrhosis patient suffered from itching sensation on the whole body with external preparation containing Ponciri fructus and Radix lithospermi and oral administration of Sodalgeonbitang for 37 days.Results : Despite discontinuing western medical treatment of topical steroids and oral antihistamine, pruritus and erythema of the patient were significantly improved.Conclusions : As for external application, decoction of Ponciri fructus and Radix lithospermi might be effective used for treatment senile pruritus and xeroderma.
