In order to elucidate physiological factors involved in causing the winter injuries of evergreen Japanese rhododendron (Rhododendron obtusum cv. Hinodegiri) and semi-evergreen rhododendron (Rhododendron yedoense var. poukhanense), these studies were conducted from late winter to early spring. The results were summarized as follows; The water potential, water content in stem, water potential and content have continuously increased in both species between February and May. In R. yedoense, shading treatment had 0.3MPa upper water potential and 3% upper water content than the control. Rhododendron obtusum, the treatments with shading had 0.9MPa upper water potential and 11% upper water content that the control. The difference of water balance by treatments could be found in vitality of stem measured by TTC test. Especially R. obtusum in the treatments with shading in has higher vitality than the control. we find that winter damage of evergreen R. obtusum was determined by whether water balance could be recovered from water deficient state during the dehardening period, or not. In order to recover of the water balance, decreasing water loss more important than increasing water supply, and that was effectively acrueved by the treatment with shading.

To investigate molecular phylogenetic relationships and to test hypothesis of hybrid origin of Ranunculus cantoniensis (Ranunculaceae), the sequences of nrDNA and chloroplast DNA were analyzed for 8 taxa and 25 accessions including 5 accessions of outgroup. In the phylogenetic trees by analyses of maximum parsimony and maximum likelihood for ITS nrDNA sequences and combined data of psbA-trnH, rps16 and trnL sequences of cpDNA, R. cantoniensis was most closely related to R. chinensis, and then to R. taciroi and R. silerifolius. The molecular phylogenetic relationships were not congruent with the previous report that R. cantoniensis was most closely related to R. silerifolius. In the sequence analysis of ITS and psbA-trnH, rps16, trnL for R. cantoniensis and the related taxa, R. cantoniensis showed polymorphism. It supported that the polymorphism also was reported in chromosome number and karyotype of R. cantoniensis. Ranunculus cantoniensis shared the marker gene of R. chinensis and R. silerifolius in ITS, and one of R. silerifolius in cpDNA. These results supported the hypothesis that R. cantoniensis was caused by hybridization between R. chinensis and R. silerifolius based on chromosome number and karyotype, and also estimated that R. silerifolius might be of maternal origin and R. chinensis be paternal.

우리의 문화담론은 너무 늦었거나 너무 일렀다. 왜 늦었느냐 하면, 그 담론이 '80년대의 목적 의식적 세력이 존재할 당시에 전개되었다면 그 기반 위에서 '90년대 대중문화의 새 동향을 변별할 수 있었을텐데 하는 아쉬움 때문이다. 왜 빨랐느냐 하면, '90년대의 문화담론은 그 현실적 기반을 내생적으로 확보하지 못한 상태에서 무작정 문화상품에 기우는 경향을 보인다는 점에서 그렇다. 오늘날은 문화담론 자체가 대중문화의 소비를 강권하고 있는 것으로 보인다. 마치 정보화 운동이 정보의 소비를 강권하듯이 말이다. 그러나 문화담론이 도전해야 할 대상은 바로 현실이다.

과거에도 치과의사들의 탈치과의사 선언이 종종 있어왔지만 인터넷이라는 새로운 정보매체의 등장으로 치과의사들이 보다 많이 인터넷 분야로 눈을 돌리고 있다. 이들은 왜 인터넷이라고 하는 매체에 관심을 갖고 달려드는 것일까? 치과의사 닷컴 대표이사라는 두가지 명함을 가지고 있는 그들, 혹은 치과의사를 용감히(?)버리고 닷컴 대표이사라는 직함에 매달리는 그들을 만나보았다. 그들은 왜 인터넷으로 눈을 돌리고 있는지, 치과의사들이 인터넷 업체를 운영하고 있는 현황 및 각 인터넷 사이트를 소개한다.

2007년초 공정거래위원회는 공정거래법 개정안을 입법예고하면서 동의명령제를 포함시켰으나 부처간 협의과정에서 동의명령제 도입 규정이 삭제된 바 있다. 그 이후 3월초 한국과 미국은 한미간의 자유무역협정(FTA)에 동의명령제를 포함시키기로 합의하였기 때문에 앞으로 이의 도입이 불가피하게 되었다. 동의명령제에 대해서는아직 그내용이 널리 알려져 있지 않아서 도입 필요성에 대해서도 이해가 넓지 않은 것 같다. 본 고에서는 동의명령제가 어떤 제도이며. 우리나라에서 왜 동의명령제의 도입이 필요한지를 살펴보겠다.
