  • The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of full immersion virtual reality (VR) on the autonomic nervous system. The study was conducted with 17 men in their 20s. The subjects were given full immersion VR content, and electrocardiogram (ECG) signals were measured for five minutes before and after the application of the full immersion VR. The autonomic nervous system was evaluated by analyzing the LF, HF, TP, and LF/HF ratio of the ECG signal. The obtained data was analyzed by conducting a paired sample t-test. After applying full immersion VR, the subjects' HF and TP decreased significantly, while their LF/HF ratio increased significantly. According to the results of this study, Full immersion VR provided stress to the autonomic nervous system, but the changes were within the normal range of healthy adults. Therefore, full immersion VR can be safely applied to healthy adults.

  • This study compared the muscle on-set time of fully immersive virtual reality motions with that of actual motions to if there difference. The subjects were 30 healthy adults subjects and compared the virtual reality moction group(punch, archery) and actual motion group(punch, archery) muscle on-set time. In this study, there was no significant difference between the virtual reality motion group and actual motion group muscle on-set time(p>0.05). Fully immersive virtual reality is deemed to be applicable for use in physical therapy. In future studies, it is necessary to investigate whether a fully immersive virtual reality can be applied to patients.

  • As team based organizational structure is commonly spreading, many employees perform as a team member. This situation increases not only team commitment but also conflict to team members. But there are not many researches about the relationship between conflict and team commitment. This research proves the mediation effect of team efficacy and communication satisfaction when conflict have effect on team commitment. We have the following results. First, task conflict and relationship conflict have negative effect on team commitment. Second, team efficacy mediates task conflict and team commitment. Third, communication satisfaction mediates relationship conflict and team commitment.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of occupational therapy intervention using a fully immersive virtual reality device on the upper extremity function of patients with chronic stroke. Methods : This study used a single subject (ABA) design. The study subjects was a chronic stroke patient with left lateral deviation. Four baseline periods, 12 intervention periods, and 4 baseline regression periods were performed for a total of 20 sessions for 10 weeks. OT intervention with a fully immersive virtual reality device was used every 30 minutes. BBT and WMFT evaluations were performed at each session and the results were displayed in a line graph. Results : The patient's upper limb function has improved. During baseline recurrence, efficacy of treatment was confirmed after removal of intervention, but no significant changes were observed. Conclusion : It has been found that OT intervention with a fully immersive virtual reality device for upper limb function in chronic stroke patients is an effective intervention. However, the effectiveness of maintaining treatment is not important, so we need to develop an easy-to-use home intervention program.

  • This study introduces the mediating role of social worker's emotional labor in the relationship between person-social welfare value fit and job-related psychological attitudes. This study characterizes emotional labor as surface acting and deep acting, and job-related psychological attitudes as job satisfaction and organizational commitment. This study hypothesizes that the social worker's person-social welfare value fit raises job satisfaction and organizational commitment, that social worker's surface acting negatively mediates the relationship between social welfare value fit and psychological attitudes, and that deep acting positively mediates the relationship. The results from this study are as follows. Firstly, social worker's person-social welfare value fit raises job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Secondly, social worker's surface acting fully mediates the relationship between social welfare value fit and organizational commitment. Thirdly, deep acting fully mediates the relationship between social welfare value fit and job satisfaction, and social welfare value fit and organizational commitment. Based on these results, detailed practical and theoretical implications are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of reading activity of employees in public libraries on their job satisfaction and organizational commitment which was suggested by previous studies proving the relationship among the variables in the business area. The results from the survey indicate that there were significant differences in job satisfaction, satisfaction with human relationship, satisfaction of self-realization, affective commitment, and continuance commitment in terms of the frequency of participation in a book club. Additionally, the number of employees' reading books and hours spent for reading significantly influenced their job satisfaction and the hours spent for reading significantly influenced affective commitment. It was also found that participation continuity for a book club influenced on satisfaction level of social recognition, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. Job satisfaction level had a complete mediation effect between reading hours and affective commitment, and satisfaction from social recognition had a complete mediation effect between participation continuity in a reading meeting, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. Based on these results, this study suggests a plan for constructing a good environment for employees to read through introducing a reading management as follows. Firstly, managers of public libraries need to take an active interest in reading management and various programs to encourage employees to read need to be provided. Secondly, public libraries are required to encourage their employees' participation in book clubs and support them, so that the employees are able to participate in the book club consistently. Finally, institution-level consistent motivation is needed for an active reading activity.

  • This study investigated the impacts of the experience attributes of JJALBANG broadcast images on satisfaction with 221 viewers in their 20s and analyzed the mediation effect of flow. The results are: First, their experience attributes affected flow, not directly affecting satisfaction while flow directly affected satisfaction. Second, securing flow was an important predictor for connecting experience attributes to satisfaction through the effect resolution. Flow alone can predict satisfaction, so its impact on experience is very important. Visual attribute had the greatest influence on flow and satisfaction, followed by situation, information, and interaction, which affected satisfaction through flow. This study found the importance of full mediation effect of flow and got implications for effectively providing experience and flow in strategies for viewing JJALBANG.

  • The purpose of the study was to explore whether the Cyber Motion sickness used VR causes a change in the dynamic balance and fall. For 39 people who voluntarily participated in this study, this study measured the motion sickness questionnaires, the heart rate and stability of limit test in BioRescue. The study used Samsung Gear VR and applied the games to the To the homeland. The game proceeded 20minutes. Although the value of the stability after a VR application is slightly reduced, it did not reach statistical significance. The motion sickness questionnaires increased, and it had a statistical significant impact. Also Heart rate increased and it had a statistically significant impact. A virtual reality game affect for getting motion sickness but it did not affect the dynamic balance. So, cyber motion sickness caused by virtual reality wear does not result in decreased balance and falls.

  • Introduction : The purpose of this article was to introduce the theory of flow experience to occupational therapy for various therapeutic interventions to improve the subject's physical function, activity, and participation. Review : To understand the flow experience in occupational therapy, this study summarized the concept and characteristics of the flow experience, the stages and the scientific characteristics of the brain, measurement methods, and related studies through a review of domestic and foreign literature. In occupational therapy, the subject's flow experience can be defined as 'a psychological state in which the subject is completely flow in the therapeutic activity he is doing while forgetting the passage of time'. Subjects perceived a clear goal for the task and experienced engagement when the challenge was balanced with a high level of skill. In a previous study, positive changes in attention and concentration, executive function, upper extremity function, and performance of daily living activities were confirmed in subjects who encountered the flow experience. Conclusion : If the subject's flow experience in various therapeutic interventions in domestic occupational therapy is considered, the treatment effects will be further promoted.
