  • This study investigated the effects of applying the flipped classroom approach with MOOC to the college educational system. A total of six undergraduate students participated in the 10-week innovative learning setting. The participants performed online activities using the learning content from a MOOC website; this was followed by a participatory learning process in the offline classroom. The semi-structured face-to-face interviews for the six participants after the classes were completed and analyzed. The results showed that the instructional method enabled students to be highly motivated and to perform learning activities. However, there were some limitations: (1) learning was impeded due to English language issues and (2) the Korean education culture was still unfamiliar with this pedagogical method. Finally, suggestions for future research are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of writing academic reflection journals and feedback activity experiences in untact online classes for engineering students who have taken communication liberal arts classes, and to find out the effect of these learning strategies to promote students' learning motivation, to check whether it is useful for class participation and immersion. In order to find out the effect of class, pre- and post-tests on learning motivation were conducted, and the students' reflection journals and in-depth interviews were analyzed using the topic analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods. As a result of the study, it was found that the reflection journal and feedback activity had a significant effect on individual learning understanding, immersion, attitude, etc. The study is meaningful in that it was able to confirm students' active learning attitudes and positive teaching effects with appropriate learning strategies according to changes in the untact educational environment. Various teaching-learning strategies according to changes in the educational environment should be sought and applied in many ways.

  • Modern society is operated based on the internet, wireless networks, and digital devices to the extent that it is called a digital society. In particular, as most of financial transactions, information movement, and commercial activities are based online, various social problems and side effects related to this are increasing rapidly. Representative examples include industrial espionage activities and leakage of industrial technology, and social problems such as illegal goods trade such as drugs using online and online gambling are increasing to a serious level. These digital-based social problems cannot be solved only by the activities and capabilities of judicial institutions such as police and prosecutors. Now that the private investigation market is open, active intervention using them is necessary. To this end, it is necessary to actively cultivate private investigator's ability to investigate and collect evidence in relation to digital social and criminal problems. In addition, each private investigation education institution or association should actively invest and research this.

  • This study aims to identify the primary user group in the growing metaverse space based on the increased interest during the COVID-19 era. It also aims to explore the predictive factors for metaverse adoption. To predict online activities, the study examined user purposes, motivations, and relevant demographic factors as predictive variables through model analysis. The data from the Korean Media Panel Survey were used, and a two-stage analysis with the Heckman two-stage sample selection model was conducted to predict metaverse users. The analysis revealed that the key factors influencing metaverse adoption were offline activities, openness, OTT usage, and purchasing of paid content. Moreover, in the second stage model, openness, gender, and paid content purchases were identified as significant variables for increasing metaverse usage time. These results indicate that understanding metaverse users is essential in the context of the rising interest in online activities during the COVID-19 era and can provide valuable insights for metaverse platform-related companies and developers.

  • In recent years, activities have become more important in political activities and participation in policies. Therefore, the level of digital informatization can affect the participation in policy in the online environment. In this study, we examined how the policy activities of the disabled have a relationship with the informatization level. To this end, we analyzed the relationship between the level of digital informatization and the level of satisfaction with policy activities based on the results of the digital divide survey of 2017. The results of this study are as follows: First, it shows that the disabled people have a positive relationship with the digital access and policy activity satisfaction levels such as the possession of wired / wireless information devices and Internet accessibility. Second, it is found that digital information capacity level and income level such as PC utilization ability and mobile digital device utilization ability have a positive (+) relationship. Third, as the level of digital information utilization such as wired and mobile Internet usage increased, the level of satisfaction with policy activities also increased positively. This suggests that the government needs various information policy to increase the level of digital informatization of the disabled.

  • This study aimed to analyze the usage behaviors of university students seeking and sharing everyday life information through an online community called Everytime. The study was designed based on everyday life information-seeking and activity theory models, and students from various universities were interviewed using a qualitative research method. Findings showed that Everytime users perceive Everytime as a valuable online community for pursuing and sharing everyday life information. It was primarily used to search for university life information, such as academic calendar, class, and graduation, and health, restaurants, and housing. In the case of the freshmen and sophomores who entered during the COVID-19 pandemic, their dependence on Everytime was high, and juniors and seniors who experienced university life before COVID-19 also responded that Everytime is one of the essential sources of information in university life. Although Everytime provides quick and valuable information, users mentioned the moral hazard as a major factor hindering the active use of Everytime. The results of this study are expected to be used as primary data for informatics research on the online community of college students and the development and operation of online communities for university students.

I analyzed what they had discussed by the prints that they had sent me by e-mail. I also surveyed what they had experienced and analyzed them. In this research, the online web based discussion has given positive influence on students' competence of speaking, writing, reading and listening which are crucial to mathematical communication. Students' mathematic thinking power improved and attitudes to mathematics have become more positive.
