Big Data Analysis on Daegu-Gyeongbuk Administrative Integration (대구·경북 행정통합에 대한 빅데이터 분석)

  • The study examines public attitude and reaction regarding administrative integration in Daegu and Gyeongbuk area. Specifically, it employs social big data including textual comments on online news articles and YouTube video clips. The collected data are analyzed in order to compare two periods, that is, before and after the inauguration of the Public Opinion Committee for One Daegu-Gyeongbuk. As a result, we have found that people's favorable response to administrative integration has gradually increased since the launch of the Committee. However, it still lacks specific administrative procedures and discussion topics among the frequently used words in the collected data. Thus, the Committee needs to provide a variety of information and materials related to administrative integration.

  • 온라인 소셜 네트워크 상에서 메시지가 어떻게 사용자로부터 다른 사용자들에게까지 전달되는지 연구하는 분야는 현재 인터넷 인구의 증가와 소셜 네트워크 서비스의 발전에 맞물려서 흥미로운 분야가 되었다. 이를 연구함으로써, 바이럴 마케팅이나 여론 형성 등, 메시지가 최대한 영향력을 발휘하게끔 하는데 도움을 줄 수 있으므로, 메시지 전파의 효율성, 메시지의 발원지 예상 등, 다양한 연구가 지금까지 이루어졌고, 각 연구들은 소셜 네트워크 에서의 각기 다른 특징들에 주목하였다. 본 연구는 그 다양한 특징들 중, 소셜네트워크가 다양한 구성원들로 이루어져있고, 그 구성원들은 비슷한 구성원끼리 묶을 수 있다는 점에서 출발하였다. 소셜 네트워크는 수많은 사용자들로 이루어져 있고, 그 사용자들의 개별적인 특징들을 구분한다는 것은 굉장히 어려운 일이다. 따라서 각 사용자들을 추상화 하는 것이 필요하고, 그 중 한 방법은 사용자들을 특징별로 묶는 일이다. 사용자들을 그룹으로 묶는 것을 고려함에 따라, 사용자 그룹들 사이의 관계와 선호도 등을 고려함으로써, 단순한 정보 전달 양상에서 벗어나 자세한 관찰을 하는 것이 가능하다. 또한, 정보 전파 양상에서 그룹의 비율이 미치는 영향에 대해서 관찰하는 것도 가능하다. 본 글에서는 메시지 전파 모델 중 하나인 Independent Cascade Model을 사용하여 그룹을 특정할 수 있는 모델을 제시하며, 각 유저들의 비율이 달라질 경우 발생하는 현상을 실험한다. 제시한 모델을 바탕으로 메시지 전파가 그룹간의 유사도에 영향을 받을 수 있는지에 대한 앞으로의 연구 또한 제시한다.

청소년 흡연 억제를 위한 담배자판기 활용방안에 대한 제고

  • 청소년 흡연률 세계2위, 아시아 1위, 활발히 확산되는 범사회적 금연운동에도 불구하고 청소년 흡연률은 오히려 늘면 늘뿐 줄어들지 않고 있는 상황이어서 이를 바라보는 국민의 심정이 안타깝기 그지없다. 사태가 이렇게 심각하게 된데는 여러 이유가 있겠지만 우리 사회가 너무 청소년 흡연을 방치하지 않았나 한번쯤 심각히 반성해야 할 부분이다. 청소년 흡연방지를 위한 보다 적극적이고 실효성 있는 정책과 성인들의 관심과 질타 등이 있었다면 상황은 분명 지금보다는 나아졌을 것이다. 지금보다 실효성 있는 청소년흡연 억제 정책이 시급한 상황에서 그 위기를 구원할 릴리프로 담배자판기를 등판시킨다면 과연 어떨까? 과거만 해도 담배자판기 청소년 흡연조장이라는 이유로 길거리에서 철수되어야 하는 아픔을 겪었고 아직도 그러한 오명으로부터 자유스러울 수 없는 상황이지만 산업계의 기술발달은 이제 과감하고 자신있게 등판을 자청할 상황이 되었다. 위기에 등판한 릴리프는 성인인식장치라는 강력한 강속구로 자신 있게 청소년 흡연증가라는 강타자를 삼진 아웃 시킬 수도 있는게 현상황인 것이다. 문제는 정부관련부처의 담배자판기를 보는 시각변화와 신뢰이다. 100%청소년이용을 차단할 담배자판기를 이용, 기존 유인 담배 판매 유통수단을 대체한다면 청소년 담배구입 루트를 근원적으로 차단할 비법이 있는 마당에 담배자판기를 언제까지나 색안경을 끼고 봐서는 안될 것이다. 이러한 취지 하에 협회에서는 대정부 관련부처 설득을 진행해 가고 있다. 최근에는 청소년보호위원회 홈페이지를 통해 '청소년 흡연 감소를 위한 실질적 대책에 대한 질의 및 제언' 이라는 제목으로 성인인식담배자판기의 적극 활용을 촉구하는 민원을 제출했다. 이제는 정부관련부처의 마인드 변화, 산업계 및 여론의 지지 등이 삼위일체가 되어야 하는 상황에서 온라인 상에 게재된 하기의 내용이 적극 호응과 지지를 받았으면 하는 바램이다.

Effects of Source Credibility of Political Youtubers on Voters' Attitude toward Contents and Political Decision Making (정치 유튜버의 공신력 속성이 콘텐츠 태도와 유권자의 정치적 의사결정에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of source credibility of political youtubers on attitude toward contents and politicians/political party and political decision making. The total number of 326 responses from online survey were analyzed. Results indicate that three factors of source credibility, similarity, charisma, and expertise positively affected attitude toward political contents on youtube in statistical significance. Five attributes of source credibility, familiarity, charisma, similarity, attractiveness, and trustworthiness positively affected attitude toward political youtube contents and politicians/political parties. Furthermore, attitude toward contents and politicians/political parties significantly increased voting intention to politicians/political parties.

  • 최근 여론조사 분야에서 빅데이터 분석 기법이 널리 활용되고 있다. 기업에서는 최근 출시된 제품에 대한 선호도를 조사하기 위해 기존의 설문조사나 전문가의 의견을 단순 취합하는 것이 아니라, 온라인상에 존재하는 다양한 종류의 데이터를 수집하고 분석하여 제품에 대한 대중의 기호를 정확히 파악할 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 빅데이터로부터 제품의 평판을 자동으로 찾아내는 텍스트 마이닝 방안을 제안하고, 소나타 자동차를 중심으로 제안 방안의 효율성을 평가하고 실험 결과를 자세히 분석한다.

Prediction Model for Popularity of Online Articles based on Analysis of Hit Count (온라인 게시글의 조회수 분석을 통한 인기도 예측)

  • Online discussion bulletin in Korea is not only a specific place where user exchange opinions but also a public sphere through which users discuss and form public opinion. Sometimes, there is a heated debate on a topic and any article becomes a political or sociological issue. In this paper, we propose how to analyze the popularity of articles by collecting the information of articles obtained from two well-known discussion forums such as AGORA and SEOPRISE. And we propose a prediction model for the article popularity by applying the characteristics of subject articles. Our experiment shown that the popularity of 87.52% articles have been saturated within a day after the submission in AGORA, but the popularity of 39% articles is growing after 4 days passed in SEOPRISE. And we observed that there is a low correlation between the period of popularity and the hit count. The steady increase of the hit count of an article does not necessarily imply the final hit count of the article at the saturation point is so high. In this paper, we newly propose a new prediction model called 'baseline'. We evaluated the predictability for popular articles using three models (SVM, similar matching and baseline). Through the results of performance evaluation, we observed that SVM model is the best in F-measure and precision, but baseline is the best in running time.

A Study on the Online Newspaper Archive : Focusing on Domestic and International Case Studies (온라인 신문 아카이브 연구 국내외 구축 사례를 중심으로)

  • Aside from serving as a body that monitors and criticizes the government through reviews and comments on public issues, newspapers can also form and spread public opinion. Metadata contains certain picture records and, in the case of local newspapers, the former is an important means of obtaining locality. Furthermore, advertising in newspapers and the way of editing in newspapers can be viewed as a representation of the times. For the value of archiving in newspapers when a documentation strategy is established, the newspaper is considered as a top priority that should be collected. A newspaper archive that will handle preservation and management carries huge significance in many ways. Journalists use them to write articles while scholars can use a newspaper archive for academic purposes. Also, the NIE is a type of a practical usage of such an archive. In the digital age, the newspaper archive has an important position because it is located in the core of MAM, which integrates and manages the media asset. With this, there are prospects that an online archive will perform a new role in the production of newspapers and the management of publishing companies. Korea Integrated News Database System (KINDS), an integrated article database, began its service in 1991, whereas Naver operates an online newspaper archive called "News Library." Initially, KINDS received an enthusiastic response, but nowadays, the utilization ratio continues to decrease because of the omission of some major newspapers, such as Chosun Ilbo and JoongAng Ilbo, and the numerous user interface problems it poses. Despite these, however, the system still presents several advantages. For example, it is easy to access freely because there is a set budget for the public, and accessibility to local papers is simple. A national library consistently carries out the digitalization of time-honored newspapers. In addition, individual newspaper companies have also started the service, but it is not enough for such to be labeled an archive. In the United States (US), "Chronicling America"-led by the Library of Congress with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities-is in the process of digitalizing historic newspapers. The universities of each state and historical association provide funds to their public library for the digitalization of local papers. In the United Kingdom, the British Library is constructing an online newspaper archive called "The British Newspaper Archive," but unlike the one in the US, this service charges a usage fee. The Joint Information Systems Committee has also invested in "The British Newspaper Archive," and its construction is still ongoing. ProQuest Archiver and Gale NewsVault are the representative platforms because of their efficiency and how they have established the standardization of newspapers. Now, it is time to change the way we understand things, and a drastic investment is required to improve the domestic and international online newspaper archive.

Development of Fuzzy-based Trust Measuring Framework for Blog Contents Using Social Networking Services (소셜 네트워킹 서비스를 활용한 블로그 컨텐츠의 퍼지 기반 신뢰도 측정 방법론 개발)

  • Recently, blogs have attracted much attention as personal media. The power of blogs as a way to provide valuable resources on Internet is so tremendous because of the high speed of information dissemination and the huge influence of the circulated information on Internet users even when the information itself is not true. Especially, contents on blogs that attract a lot of public attention are sometimes reproduced or magnified in an inappropriate way. In this paper, a method to measure the trust level of contents posted on personal blogs is proposed to reduce the damage of wrong information circulated along with blog networks. Trust variables such as relationship data in SNS are used to measure the comparative trust level of blog contents. The structure of the prototype system is also designed to apply this framework to blogsphere.

A Study on the Perception of Data 3 Act through Big Data Analysis (빅데이터 분석을 통한 데이터 3법 인식에 관한 연구)

  • Korea is promoting a digital new deal policy for the digital transformation and innovation accelerating of the industry. However, because of the strict existing data-related laws, there are still restrictions on the industry's use of data for the digital new deal policy. In order to solve this issue, a revised bill of the Data 3 Act has been proposed, but there is still insufficient discussion on how it will actually affect the activation of data use in the industry. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the perception of public opinion on the Data 3 Act and the implications of the revision of the Data 3 Act. To this end, the revision of the Data 3 Act and related research trends were analyzed, and the perception of the Data 3 Act was analyzed using a big data analysis technique. According to the analysis results, while promoting the vitalization of the data industry in line with the purpose of the revision, the Data 3 Act has a concern that it focuses on specific industries. The results of this study are meaningful in providing implications for future improvement plans by analyzing online perceptions of the industrial impact of the Data 3 Act in the early stages of implementation through big data analysis.

An Exploratory Study on News Perception of YouTube Current Affairs and Political Channel Users (유튜브 시사정치채널 이용자의 뉴스 관점에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • The main purpose of this study is to search for variables that influence the perception of news of YouTube current affairs and political channel users. Existing studies have focused on providing normative criticism by examining the public opinion influence of YouTube channels, which play a role similar to the media, in terms of political polarization, fake news, and confirmation bias. However, this study attempts to examine the changes and meanings of users' perception of news with the advent of YouTube. To this end, an online survey was conducted for users with experience in using YouTube's current affairs and political channels. As a result of the study, it was found that the news perception of YouTube current affairs and political channel users was mixed with the perception of news from the perspective of professional journalism and the perception of newly added news in the digital environment. Based on these results, the researcher examined the implications of the professional news media's response direction to the platform environment.
