  • Open science projects are being actively carried out globally. Publishing the results of public research (publications and data) in digital format and enhancing access to these materials are getting more important. Various research support tools are being used to support open research, open access, open data, open peer review and open research performance evaluation. We analyzed research support services to prepare open science movement in Korea. Korea is not ready for research data management and research collaboration except open access and institutional repositories. It can be seen as an urgent matter to analyze these international open science research support services carefully and reflect them in research support policy and service guideline.

  • To solve the problems of the traditional scholarly communication system, global interest in the open access paradigm continues. Nevertheless, there is still a lack of research to understand global research and growth trends in the field of open access through data-based quantitative methods. This study aims to identify which sub-fields exist in open access and analyze how long each research field will grow in the future. To this end, topic modeling and growth curve analysis were applied to global academic papers in the field of open access. This study identified 14 research topics related to open access, open data, and open collaboration, which are three key elements of open science, and foresaw that the field of open access will grow over the next 65 years. The results of this study are expected to support researchers and policymakers in understanding global research trends of open access.

  • Open Science Project, which enables users to access and utilize public research results in a digital format, is being actively promoted overseas, and American university libraries are interested in research support service. Among the three OECD implementation measures, 'capacity building' can be effectively prepared through librarians' research support services. Therefore, this study investigated the policy of research support service implemented in leading American 13 university libraries in preparation for the open science era focusing on the recent literatures and library websites. Based on the best cases of research support service of American university libraries, I analyzed the homepage of 19 domestic research universities' library focusing on scholarly communication service and suggested improvements. In Korea, open access service and management of research data are lacking in terms of experience and expertise. This study result can be used as a basic reference when establishing the research support service plan needed in the open science era in the university library and can contribute to the improvement of the research ability of domestic researchers by introducing internationally competitive research support services.

  • Open science policies are spreading that disclose, share, and utilize research results produced through government public funds. As a policy to revitalize open science, interest in research support services that allow easy search, access, and reuse of results is increasing. To support services to provide researchers with various information, we propose a research resource knowledge graph model to meaningfully express the relationship between the scattered various outcome data. In this paper, it contributes to the improvement of the service of the national research data platform DataON by meaningfully connecting national R&D task information, researcher information, performance information, and research data information.

  • Open Science is evolving not only to share research results, but also to open the research process. We are developing the EDISON platform for the spread of open science in computational science and engineering. The EDISON platform provides online simulation services developed by computational science and engineering researchers. It also provides an environment for sharing source code, data, and related research publications. An effective simulation software registration management system is required for successful service on the EDISON platform. In this paper, we proposes a simulation software management system to provide online simulation service through EDISON platform. The proposed system allows the developer to register the simulation software on the EDISON platform without administrator intervention and effectively build a web-based simulation environment.
