미국에서 한때 베스트셀러를 기록했던 "자연요법"이란 책을 쓴 앤드루 웨일이 세계 각지의 민간요법을 조사하기 위해 아마존 오지의 주술사를 찾았다. 그러나 추장과 의사의 일까지 맡고 있던 이 주술사는 개발에 밀려 훼손되고 있는 아마존의 열대림과 생활터전을 보호하기 위한 사회운동가로 변신해 있었다. 자연이 파괴되는 이 무서운 현실 앞에서 우리도 아마존의 주술사처럼 변신과 전업을 꾀해야 하지 않을까 생각이 든다.

많은 국내 기업들이 중국으로부터 되돌아 오지만, 한편으로 더 많은 기업들이 중국으로 진출하고 있다는 사실은 중국에 대한 관심을 단적으로 짐작하게 한다. 중국의 GDP(국내총생산)는 1978년 개혁 이후 22년간 연평균 9.5% 이상의 고도성장을 이루었으며, 2000년을 기점으로 1조 달러를 넘어섰다. G7의 나라별 GDP규모가 대체로 1조 달러를 넘어선다는 것으로 이 수치의 의미를 알 수 있다. 중국이 미국과 같은 수준에 도달하는 시점에 대해, 지금과 같은 8%의 경제성장률을 지속적으로 유지할 경우 2050년이 될 것이라고 예상한다. 학자에 따라서는 이보다 훨씬 이른 2020년이라고 예측하기도 하지만, 여하튼 중국은 건국 100주년이 되는 2050년에 미국에 버금가는 세계의 경제강국이 되겠다는 목표를 갖고 있다. 여기에서 흥미로운 사실은 아시아 경제위기 발생 이후 미국과 중국이 세계경제 속에서 차지하는 위상이 뚜렷이 동반 상승했다는 것이다. 당시 일부에서는 미국이 중국을 견제하기 위해 투기성 자금을 동원, 아시아 금융위기를 고의로 터뜨렸다는 소위 음모론을 제기하기도 했지만, 어쩌면 세계경제가 조만간 미국과 중국의 '쌍끌이'에 의해 움직일 가능성도 높아지고 있다. 청도는 이러한 중국 경제성장의 중추적인 역할을 담당하는 도시이며, 이미 지난 호에서 청도의 경제상황과 역사, 그리고 도시와 건축을 살펴보았다. 이번 호와 다음 호에는 (주)무영종합건축사사무소의 합자회사 설립과정과 운영, 전망, 그리고 진행 프로젝트를 소개할 것이다. 먼저, 합자회사인 TMI의 설립과정과 운영, 그리고 첫 프로젝트인 양광해안 주거단지에 대해 살펴보기로 한다.

경북 포항시 남구 동해면 금광리 일대의 전기 마이오세 현무암층 내에 단층파쇄대의 중심에 약 5-10 cm의 폭을 가진 흑색의 단층점토가 길게 연장되어 나타났다. 이 단층점토에 대해 XRD, FTIR, DTA/TGA, SEM, TEM, XRF, EPMA 등으로 자세히 분석한 결과, Fe 성분을 다량 함유하는 Fe-세피올라이트인 것으로 확인되었다. 이 외에 단층파쇄대의 변질광물은 주로 스멕타이트인 것으로 나타났으며, 신선한 모암인 현무암에도 스멕타이트가 상당량 포함되어 나타났다. 이러한 구성광물의 산상으로 보아, Fe-세피올라이트는 현무암의 고화 형성 후에 다소 깊은 곳에서 단층작용과 함께 열수변질작용이 관여하여 형성된 것으로 사료된다.

부산과 울산의 중심지역에 대해 공기 중의 분진시료를 채취하여, 위상차현미경, 위상차분산현미경, 주사전자현미경 등으로 석면을 분석한 결과, 석면은 검출한계 이하로서 확인되지 않았다. 공기중의 분진시료에는 섬유상물질이 다수 포함되었으나, 이들은 대부분 유기질 섬유인 것으로 나타났다. 무기질 섬유물질로는 암면, 세라믹섬유, 석고 등이 소량 포함되었으며, 비섬유상인 석영, 방해석, 장석등의 광물도 가끔 관찰되었다. 국내의 공기 중 분진의 석면분석은 주로 위상차현미경으로 관찰하는 것으로 규정되어 있으나, 이것만으로는 석면의 식별이 불가능한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 일본 JIS법과 같이 저온회화 처리 장치에 의한 유기물질 제거 후에 분산염색법으로 석면을 식별하고 계수하는 것이 효율적인 것으로 사료된다.

In oriental medicine, from old times, psychological therapy has been regarded as physical therapy that has been inseparable from psychological therapy. The major objects for oriental psychological therapy is human emotions. Human emotions can be put in the seven feelings(七精) that include Joy(善), Anger(怒), Grief(思), Pity(悲), Fear(恐), Surprise(驚). The seven feelings are connected with human physiology. If each of the seven feelings if excessive, human physiology loses its valance. So the seven feelings are major causes of diseases. The specific character of oriental neuropsychiatry is to make use of the seven feelings in clinical treatment. These oriental neuropsychiatry therapies are performed through consultation with the patient. Of these therapies, Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝療法) is based on the theo교 of interrelation in five elements(metal, wood, water, fire, and earth) in oriental medicine. Specially the sequential subjugations of the five emotions are applied. The contents of Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝療法) include five subjugations of five emotions. Anxiety subjugates fear(思勝恐), fear subjugates joy(恐勝喜), joy subjugates pity(喜勝悲), pity subjugates anger(悲勝怒) and anger subjugates anxiety(怒勝思). The psychological therapy of Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝療法) can be applied in all area of neuropsychiatry. These days, many mental diseases such as Panic Disorder, Depression Somatoform disorders, and negative symptoms of Schizophrenia have been improved by Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝療法) therapy. Here, we present the treatment cases applied Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝療法) therapy in oriental medicine quoted from old oriental books and the latest treatment cases. Moreover, we hope that many oriental therapist will treat many different patients with mental disorders by Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝療法) therapy.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report a case of nine-year-old female pediatric patient who had diagnosed as mesenteric lymphadenitis with abdominal pain. Methods : The patient was treated by acupunture (acupoint: Hegu(LI4), Zusanli(S36), Zhongwan(CV12), Tianshu (S25)), indirect moxibustion and herb medicine (Koakhyangjeonggisan-kamibang, Jakyakgamchotang Ex) for one week. We observed clinical progress. Result and conclusions : After oriental medical treatment, symptoms of mesenteric lymphadenitis (day and night abdominal pain, diarrhea) were improved. This study showed that oriental medicine can be a meaningful treatment for mesenteric lymphadenitis. For more accurate studies, further treatment cases would be needed.

The railway industry of each country has variant technical standards and regulations unlike other industries. For this reason, it is necessary to investigate the domestic technical standards and regulations and to prepare the countermeasure of the variance for advancing the korean high-speed railroad system into foreign market. This study was designed to investigate the railway design/manufacturing, examination/inspection and safety of domestic and foreign countries subject to a world market for advancing the korean high-speed railroad system into a foreign market. Because the reliance of a railroad system is a prerequisite for the safety of railroads, it is very important to obtain the reliance data, which is based on the RMS analysis of foreign countries subject to a world market.

The Internet is one of the most noticeable things in the information wave, which is spreading in the whole society. At first, the Internet was mainly used to exchange the information between organizations like universities, institutions and companies, but recently it is widely used as the method for the commerce. Therefore the Internet is recognized as a new strategic tool for the business and electronic commerce(EC) supported by the Internet has become a new type of business in the cyber space. This study is to know the current situation of EC by investigating the effect of the Internet compared with the cost. For this purpose we surveyed 162 Korean companies and analyzed the questionaries collected from them. As a result of the analysis it is shown that the Internet is useful for improving the efficiency of business and advertising the company.
