기계재료로 쓰이는 내열강재의 현황

  • 이들 기기, 장치는 대부분 철강재가 그 근간을 이루고 있지만, 특히 고온부를 형성하는 부재는 내열용 철강과 합금이다. 강을 모재로 하고 고온에서의 강도유지를 위하여 유용한 소랴의 Cr, Mo 등을 합금시킨 저합금내열강이 1차적으로 사용되어 왔으나 사용조건이 고도화 되면서 이들 합금성분 량이 늘어나 주로 Cr 성분을 증가시킨 고 Cr 페라이트계, 그리고 Ni 성분을 다량으로 첨가한 오스테나이트계 내열강이 제 2차, 제 3차대상이 되어 연구 발전되어 왔다. 그 사용한계는 사용 가스등 환경의 영향과 고온의 크리이프나 피로, 파괴에 대한 저항성등에 크게 좌우되지만, 대개 2.25Cr-1Mo 강의 저합금강에서 $550^{\circ}C$, 9~12% Cr인 페라이트계 내열강에서 $^650{\circ}C$ 까지가 한도이며 그 이상온도에서는 오스테나이트계 내열강이 고려의 대상이 되고 있는 것 같다. 이들 고온부에 사용되는 철강 재료를 중심으로 최근의 동향을 주로 금속학적 입장에서 살펴보기로 한다.

Effect of Interaction Between Dislocation and Nitrides on High Temperature Deformation Behavior of12%Cr-15%Mn Austenitic Steels (전위와 질화물의 상호작용이 12%Cr-15%Mn 오스테나이트강의 고온변형거동에 미치는 영향)

  • The objective of research is to clarify the interaction between dislocations and precipitates during high temperature creep deformation behaviors of high n austenitic steels. After measuring the internal stress in minimum creep rate state under applied stress of 236MPa at 873K, a transmission electron microscope (TEM) observation was performed to investigate the interaction between dislocations and precipitates during high temperature creep deformation. The band widths and values of internal stress increased when the nitride precipitates distribute more densely. Fine nitrides disturbed the dislocation movement with pinning the dislocations and perfect dislocations were separated into Shockley partial dislocations by fine nitrides. Coarse nitrides disturbed the dislocation movement with climb mechanism.

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of two step austenitized treatment on the mechanical properties and fracture characteristic of the ductile cast iron and austempered ductile cast iron(ADI). The obtained results of this study were as follows. The matrix structures of specimens were changed differently by austenitizing heat treatment. Microstructure of austempered ductile cast iron obtained by two step austenitized treatment was bainitic ferrite and retained austenite. With two step austenitized treatment, vield strength, tensile strength and hardness decreased, while the elongation increased.

  • 최근 유용한 신소재로많은 광심을 보이고 있는 오스템퍼처리 구상흑연 주철(Austempered Ductile Cast Iron 이하 ADI라 한다) 은 기지조직이 베이나이트와 잔류 오스테나이트로 구성되어있기 때문에 같은 화학 조성을 갖는 일반 구상 흑연 주철에 비하여 연성 및 연성의 감소가 없이 2배 정도의 강도를 증가 시킬수 있기 때문에 자동차, 선박 부품 및 각종 기계부품에 적용시키기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 서로 재질의 성분이 다른 고속도강 드릴인 소경드릴을 이용하여 ADI재료를 보통(비관통)이송 및 단계이송 절삭가공시 발생되는 공구의 마멸량과 표면조도와의 관계, 절삭력의 변화에 따른 공구마멸과 공구수명과의 관계를 실험적으로 규명하여 ADI재료 의 보통 및 단계이송절삭시 공구수명에 미치는 제반 절삭특성의 영향에 관해 고찰 하고자 한다.

  • It is important to evaluate austenitic heat resistant stainless steel because of low weldability of austenitic heat resistant stainless steel containing high Si. This study took varestraint test for evaluation of solidification cracking sensitivity and Erichsen test for evaluation of weld metal ductility. As a result of tests, solidification crack sensitivity increased with adding $N_2$ to shielding gas, and W had detrimental effect on crack resistance, but Ce had beneficial effect on crack resistance. Under same heat input, ductility of weld metal increased with welding speed.

  • The base metal and weld metal of alloy designed austenitic stainless steels were electrochemically tested in artificial sea water. Pitting resistance of 14 different stainless steels was evaluated by measuring pitting potential. The effect of alloy element to pitting potential was evaluated by changing chromium, nickel, sulfur content. The site of pitting initiation was observed by optical microscope. As a result of electrochemical test, pitting resistance of weld metal was higher than base metal, and rapidly cooled weld metal has higher pitting potential than slowly cooled weld metal. In case of primary δ-ferrite solidification, pitting potential was increased, but residual δ-ferrite was detrimental to pitting resistance. Chromium was more effective to pitting resistance than nickel, and sulfur was very detrimental element to pitting resistance.

  • Austenitic Stainless Steels (ASSs) are widely used as structural materials in the pressurized water reactors (PWRs) because of their superior mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. However, it is well known that ASSs are susceptible to the environmental assisted cracking (EAC) such as environmental assisted fatigue (EAF) during the long term operation. There have been extensive tests and researches to understand the extent and the mechanisms of environmental effects. In this paper, the world-wide EAF test results of ASSs are introduced including those of Korean test programs. The suggested EAF mechanisms of ASSs are also discussed. Finally, the areas of further research to resolve the issue of EAF are suggested.

A study on the tensile property and corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless base and weld metal (오스테나이트계 스테인리스강 모재 및 용접부의 인장특성과 내식성에 관한 연구)

  • The effect of chemical composition on mechanical properry and corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel was investigated. The main results obtained were as follows : 1. There was a linear relationship between the tensile strength of stainless steel and the $Cr_{eq}/Ni_{eq}$. The larger the $Cr_{eq}/Ni_{eq}$ was the higher the tensile strength of stainless steel. 2. There was a good correlationship between $Cr_{eq}/Ni_{eq}$ and intergranular, gerneral corrsion rate. 3. Intergranular corrosion rate decreased linearly with increasing Cr content. 4. General corrosion rate decreased linearly with increasing Ni content. 5. Logarithm corrosion rate of intergranular and general corrosion has a linear relationship with all of the factor of $Cr_{eq}/Ni_{eq}$, Cr and Ni content.

  • 본 논문에서는 저온용 오스테나이트계 스테인리스강(ASS)의 온도 및 변형률 속도의 영향을 고려한 통합 구성 방정식 및 손상 모델을 제안하였다. 저온 영역에서, 304L ASS의 온도 및 변형률 속도별 인장 실험을 시행하였다. 그 결과, 변형 유기 마르텐사이트 상변태에 의해 상변태 유기 소성(TRIP)이 저온에서 현저히 나타났으며 온도 및 변형률 속도의 영향이 지대하였다. 실험 결과를 바탕으로 ASS의 저온 거동 및 특성을 규명하여 수치 모델에 반영하였다. 저온에서 일어나는 2차 경화 현상을 표현하기 위해, Bodner/Partom 점소성 구성 방정식을 수정하고 Tomita/Iwamoto 변형 유기 상변태 모델을 구성 방정식에 적용시켰다. 저온 연성 파단 현상을 표현하기 위해, Bodner/Chan 손상모델을 수정하여 접목시켰다. 제안된 모델을 유한요소 프로그램에 탑재시키고, 온도 및 변형률 속도 의존 재료 정수를 결정하였다. 저온 영역에서, 온도 및 변형률 속도별 재료 거동을 시뮬레이션하고 이를 실험 결과와 비교 및 검증하였다.
