The energy consumption problem in wireless sensor networks is investigated. The problem is to expend as little energy as possible receiving and transmitting data, because of constrained battery. In this paper, in order to extend the lifetime of the network, we proposed a location-based clustering algorithm for wireless sensor network with skewed-topology. The proposed algorithm is to deploy multiple child nodes at the sink to avoid bottleneck near the sink and to save energy. Proposed algorithm can reduce control traffic overhead by creating a dynamic cluster. We have evaluated the performance of our clustering algorithm through an analysis and a simulation. We compare our algorithm's performance to the best known centralized algorithm, and demonstrate that it achieves a good performance in terms of the life time.

Clustering schemes have been adopted as an efficient solution to prolong network lifetime and improve network scalability. In such clustering schemes cluster ratio is represented by the rate of the number of cluster heads and the number of total nodes, and affects the performance of clustering schemes. In this paper, we mathematically analyze an optimal clustering ratio in wireless sensor networks. We consider a multi-hop to one-hop transmission case and aim to provide the optimal cluster ratio to minimize the system hop-count and maximize packet reception ratio between nodes. We examine its performance through a set of simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed optimal cluster ratio effectively reduce transmission count and enhance energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks.
In general, routing algorithms that were applied to ad-hoc networks are not suitable for the environment with many nodes over several thousands. To solve this problem, hierarchical management to these nodes and clustering-based protocols for the stable maintenance of topology are used. In this paper, we propose the clustering-based modified LEACH protocol that can applied to an environment which moves around metal containers within communication nodes. In proposed protocol, we implemented a module for detecting the movement of nodes on the clustering-based LEACH protocol and improved the defect of LEACH in an environment with movable nodes. And we showed the possibility of the effective communication by adjusting the configuration method of multi-hop. We also compared the proposed protocol with LEACH in four points of view, which are a gradual network composition time, a reconfiguration time of a topology, a success ratio of communication on an containers environment, and routing overheads. And to conclude, we verified that the proposed protocol is better than original LEACH protocol in the metal containers environment within communication of nodes.
The characteristic of the beta wave among the EEG waves corresponds to the stress area of human perception. The over-bandwidth of the stress is extracted by analyzing the beta-wave correlation between the low-bandwidth and high-bandwidth. We present a KMeans clustering analysis model for unsupervised machine learning to construct an analytical model for analyzing and extracting the beta-wave correlation. The proposed model classifies the beta wave region into clusters of similar regions and identifies anomalous waveforms in the corresponding clustering category. The abnormal group of waveform clusters and the normal category leaving region are discriminated from the stress risk group. Using this model, it is possible to discriminate the degree of stress of the cognitive state through the EEG waveform, and it is possible to manage and apply the cognitive state of the individual.
In this paper we propose a robust clustered croup Multicast in Ad-hoc network. The proposed scheme applies to weighted clustered Algorithm. Ad-hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile hosts forming a temporary network without the aid of any centralized administration or reliable support services such as wired network and base station. In ad hoc network routing protocol because of limited bandwidth and high mobility robust, simple and energy consume minimal. WCGM method uses a base structure founded on combination weighted value and applies combination weight value to cluster header keeping data transmission by scoped flooding, which is the advantage of the exiting FGMP method. Because this method has safe and reliable data transmission, it shows the effect to decrease both overhead to preserve transmission structure and overhead for data transmission.

In this paper, it is presented the method of image recovering which existing is only pixel processing, but suggesting method is concluding image clustering overlap degree after classfying around unit fixel to crowd pixel. Concluding overlap degree threshold value is after identifying pattern pixel and grasping geometry structure of sample pattern and deduction of deciding function. distinguishing feature space is above four dimension is reason of not visual observation of pattern structure. consideration of distribution structure is distance of center of crowd pixel, the number of each crowd pattern pixel and standard deviation. The over threshold value elimate the overlap image and the downward is recovered and established dynamic image. memory storage deduction of 20% and elevation of 15% performance is estimated in recovery of image.

In this paper, we propose a Cluster-based Multicast Routing (CMR) suitable for mobile ad-hoc networks. The main features that our proposed method introduces are the following: a) mobility-based clustering and group based hierarchical structure in order to effectively support stability and scalability, b) group based mesh structure and forwarding tree concepts in order to support the robustness of the mesh topologies which provides limited redundancy and the efficiency of tree forwarding simultaneously, and c) combination of proactive and reactive concepts which provide low route acquisition delay and low overhead. The performance evaluation of the proposed protocol is achieved via modeling and simulation. The corresponding results demonstrate the Proposed multicast protocol's efficiency in terms of packet delivery ratio, scalability, control overhead, end-to-end delay, as a function of mobility, multicast group size, and number of senders.

WSN consists of hundreds to thousands of sensor nodes. In order to solve the problem of energy consumption imbalance cluster head is reelected in every round, while node authentication scheme is utilized for secure communication. However, re-clustering increases the overhead of sensor nodes and during the node authentication phase the frequent AREQ/AREP message exchange also increases the overhead. Therefore, a secure and energy efficient protocol, by which overhead of sensor nodes is reduced and long time communication is achieved, is required for wireless sensor network. In this paper, an energy efficient and reliable IDE-LEACH protocol for WSN is proposed. The proposed protocol is prolongs networks lifetime about average 20% compared to the LEACH-based protocols and all attending nodes in communication form BS authentication consisted of trusted nodes.

An aggregation query computes aggregate information over a data cube in the query range specified by a user Existing methods based on the prefix-sum approach use an additional cube called the prefix-sum cube(PC), to store the cumulative sums of data, causing a high space overhead. This space overhead not only leads to extra costs for storage devices, but also causes additional propagations of updates and longer access time on physical devices. In this paper, we propose a new prefix-sum cube called 'SPEC' which drastically reduces the space of the PC in a large data warehouse. The SPEC decreases the update propagation caused by the dependency between values in cells of the PC. We develop an effective algorithm which finds dense sub-cubes from a large data cube. We perform an extensive experiment with respect to various dimensions of the data cube and query sizes, and examine the effectiveness and performance ot our proposed method. Experimental results show that the SPEC significantly reduces the space of the PC while maintaining a reasonable query performance.

Our research purpose in this paper is to improve the performance of query processing in GIS(Geographic Information System) by enhancing the I/O performance exploiting parallel I/O and efficient disk access. By packing adjacent spatial data, which are very likely to be referenced concurrently, into one block or continuous disk blocks, the number of disk accesses and the disk access overhead for query processing can be decreased, and this eventually leads to the I/O time decrease. So, in this paper, we proposes EPR(Enhanced Parallel R-tree) indexing method which integrates the parallel I/O method of the previous Parallel R-tree method and a packing-based clustering method. The major characteristics of EPR method are as follows. First, EPR method arranges spatial data in the increasing order of proximity by using Hilbert space filling curve, and builds a packed R-tree by bottom-up manner. Second, with packing-based clustering in which arranged spatial data are clustered into continuous disk blocks, EPR method generates spatial data clusters. Third, EPR method distributes EPR index nodes and spatial data clusters on multiple disks through round-robin striping. Experimental results show that EPR method achieves up to 30% or more gains over PR method in query processing speed. In particular, the larger the size of disk blocks is and the smaller the size of spatial data objects is, the better the performance of query processing by EPR method is.
