  • In a EFL situation, most Korean students and teachers are exclusively dependent on English textbooks to acquire the cultural factors of English. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze cultural elements in the English Textbooks. The results of the study are as follows: First, although all of the textbooks contain the culture part at the end of each lesson, it is insufficient for students to build a cultural schema. Second, in the analysis of cultural types, three types of cultures are presented in a similar percentage. Third, the culture elements were analyzed based on the 7th national curriculum revised in 2011. The most dominant is the culture regarding arts and literature. Forth, in nationality analysis, universal culture takes up the largest portion. Therefore, it is required more efforts to improve students' knowledge of the American and English culture.

  • In this paper, we describe the current state of speech recognition technology and identify the basic speech recognition technology and algorithms first, and then explain the code flow of API necessary for speech recognition technology. We use the application programming interface (API) of Google, Naver, and Daum KaKao, which have the most famous search engine among the speech recognition APIs, to create a voice recognition app in the Android studio tool. Then, we perform a speech recognition experiment on people's standard words and dialects according to gender, age, and region, and then organize the recognition rates into a table. Experiments were conducted on the Gyeongsang-do, Chungcheong-do, and Jeolla-do provinces where the degree of tongues was severe. And Comparative experiments were also conducted on standardized dialects. Based on the resultant sentences, the accuracy of the sentence is checked based on spacing of words, final consonant, postposition, and words and the number of each error is represented by a number. As a result, we aim to introduce the advantages of each API according to the speech recognition rate, and to establish a basic framework for the most efficient use.

  • There is much confusion with the relationship between character and actor. Under the pressure of 'becoming' a character, the actor tends to begin his work apart from his own senses, imagination and memory, and is most likely to fall into the trap of artificiality and clich$\acute{e}$. Like every other art, the actor has to begin honestly with himself who, in nature, has unfathomable possibilities. To be and live as a character, the actor has to experience. To experience, to react. To react, to see with all the senses. Like ours, each character's life goes on from reaction to reaction, reacting to the images from the imagination and the memory. "You are what you see." The actor is put into the extremely unfamiliar circumstances of drama, given only with his own senses, imagination and memory. Fear comes in. However, fear cannot stop the actor's challenging journey to self-discoveries. The actor does and acts, not because he is certain but because he is not. The actor challenges himself to go beyond the limit and uncertainty, so that he will finally come to know and truly understand human beings from the challenges of his own. In a nutshell, acting is a journey to the unknown and the unfamiliar in which the actor unceasingly discover new 'I's.

  • Since Confucius presentied 'zhong-yong' and Zi Si wrote Zhong-Yong (The Doctring of the Mean), specially since Zhu Xi edited Zhong-Yong as one of Si-Shu (The Four Books) and interpreted it, zhong-yong was not only recognized as the extreme of morality but also as a significant category of Confucianism. The purpose of this paper is to clarify how Jeong Yak-Yong criticized Zhu Xi's interpretation of zhong-yong, and furthermore, to search how Jung Yak-yong explain the zhong-yong by tree concepts of 'grasp', 'moral behavior', and 'habit'. Zhu Xi interpreted zong as a measured absolute middle of two-side and a non-launched original nature. Interpreted yong as a common truth. Therefore he interpreted zhong-yong as a common truth of neither excessive nor enough. Accordingly, Zhu Xi's zhong-yong can be understood as absolute zhong-yong without human's reflection and moral behavior. But Jeong Yak-Yong interpreted zhong as the state of a man's very hard-concentrate and grasp of situation, and interpreted yong as the state of a man's very hard-effort moral behavior and it's habit. Therefore he explained zhong-yong as a habit of moral behavior through grasp.
