A Study on Simulation Model for RAM Analysis of SWRO Plant (SWRO 플랜트의 RAM 분석을 위한 시뮬레이션 모델 연구)

  • The Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) plant should take into account the availability of the plant from the design stage for long-term and continuous fresh water production. As it occurs, it is necessary to establish a corrective maintenance plan and preventive maintenance plan to maintain availability. In the field of complex engineering structures such as seawater desalination plants, it is difficult to estimate the reliability or availability of the system in a mathematical way. This study develops RAM analysis framework and model, and proposes discrete event simulation model as a application sowtware specialized for seawater desalination plant. Considering the characteristics of the plant maintenance, in case of corrective maintenance, we propose a preventive maintenance policy that not only repairs or replaces a single-broken part, but also simultaneously maintains all accessible parts according to the level of overhaul. A case study was conducted to estimate the availability of the system based on the field data of the seawater desalination plant in Korea and Saudi Arabia. The result was close to the expected availability of the plant.

  • The safety of staff, customers and of general Public in general viewed as one of the most important requirements in the urban transit. The maintenance computerization system for car of urban transit is a part of standardization and development of urban transit system, and We have been performed the establishment of maintenance computerization system from 2001 to 2005. The RAMS (reliability, availability, maintainability and safety) estimation for maintenance computerization system are utilized in a variety of computerization system for user's convenience and safety in maintenance. Ever since its inception though, the urban transit has searched for ways to improve reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of the railway subsystem. Provision of a reliable maintenance system include RAMS of the vehicles plays a very important role in achieving a safe system.

  • 대한에이즈예방협회 서울시회는 국내와 인접한 홍콩, 말레이시아, 대만의 에이즈사업을 시찰하고 선진시스템을 배우고자, 지난 9월 14일부터 일주일간 연수를 실시하였다. 그중 홍콩은 정부의 적극 개입으로 에이즈사업에 대한 체계가 잘 정비되어 있었다.

  • Many forces are pressuring utilities to reduce operating and maintenance costs without cutting back on reliability or availability. Many utility managers are re-evaluating maintenance strategies to meet these demands. To utilities how to reduce maintenance costs and extent the effective operating life of equipment, predictive maintenance technique can be adapted. Predictive maintenance has three types program which arc in-house program, engineering company program and mixed program. We can approach successful predictive maintenance program with "smart trust" concept.

  • 최근 전 지구적으로 기후변화에 따른 국지성 집중호우와 도시화로 인해 내수침수피해가 증가하고 있다. 이를 예방하기 위해 각 도시에서는 하수도 정비기본계획을 수립하고 하수도시설물을 운용하고 있다. 그러나 하수도정비기본계획에 활용되는 설계강우가 실제강우의 특징을 모두 반영하는 데에는 한계가 있다. 따라서 하수도 시설 설계 시에는 설계강우의 특징을 파악하고 실제강우와 비교하여 차이를 이해할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제강우와 설계강우의 총 강우량을 비교하여 하수도시설물 설계강우의 적절성을 평가하고자 한다. 대상지역은 국내 대표도시 7곳을 대상으로 선정하였으며, 실제강우는 과거 침수피해 기간에 대한 기상청 관측 강우자료를 활용하였다. 비교평가를 위해 실제강우 기반의 설계강우를 산정하였으며, 국내 하수도 정비기본계획에서 제시한 설계강우 산정기법을 활용하였다. 적절성 평가는 총 강우량 산정에 영향을 미치는 우량주상도와 총 강우량에 대하여 수행하였다. 우량주상도 비교 결과 설계강우에 비해 실제강우는 단기간에 강우량이 집중되는 형태를 보였으며 강우 지속기간이 길어질수록 첨두 강우강도에 근접한 강한 강우가 연속되는 경향을 보였다. 총 강우량 비교 결과 설계강우의 총 강우량이 실제강우의 총 강우량 보다 높은 경우에도 침수피해가 발생한 사례가 있었으며, 대부분 지속시간이 6시간 이하의 단기 집중호우 기간에 속하였다. 본 연구결과는 각 도시별 하수도정비기본계획 수립 시 설계강우 산정 방법을 개선하기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Evaluation of Optimal Time Between Overhaul Period of the First Driving Devices for High-Speed Railway Vehicle (고속철도차량 1차 구동장치에 대한 완전분해정비의 최적 주기 평가)

  • The first driving device of the power bogies for the Korean high-speed railway vehicle consists of the traction motor (TM) and the motor reduction gears unit (MRU). Although TM and MRU are the mechanically integrated structures, their time between overhauls (TBO) have two separate intervals due to different technical requirements(i.e. TBO of MRU: $1.8{\times}10^6km$, TBO of TM: $2.5{\times}10^6km$). Therefore, to reduce the unnecessary number of preventive maintenances, it is important to evaluate the optimal TBO with a viewpoint of reliability-center maintenance towards cost-effective solution. In this study, derived from the field data in maintenance, fault tree analysis and failure rate of the subsystem considering criticality of the components are evaluated respectively. To minimize the conventional total maintenance cost, the same optimal TBO of the components is derived from genetic algorithm considering target reliability and improvement factor. In this algorithm, a chromosome which comprised of each individual is the minimum preventive maintenance interval. The fitness function of the individual in generation is acquired through the formulation using an inverse number of the total maintenance cost. Whereas the lowest common multiple method produces only a four percent reduction compared to what the existing method did, the optimal TBO of them using genetic algorithm is $2.25{\times}10^6$km, which is reduced to about 14% comparing the conventional method.

  • 영광 원자력발전소 1,2호기의 계측제어기기에 대한 예방정비 최적화 분석을 수행중 기기의 정비주기 설정을 위하여 모델별 고장율 분석을 통하여 권고 주기를 산정 하였다. 현재 정비주기는 각 발전소 및 산업설비에서 제작사 지침의 적용과 현장 경험에 의한 선정이 이루어지고 있으나 제작사에 의한 주기 제시가 전체적으로 미미하여 경험에 크게 의존하고 있는 상태이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 정비주기의 최적화를 위하여 계측기 모델별 고장내용의 분석을 통한 data를 NCSL S2의 단순화 모델인 Jackson method를 기본으로 적용하여 최적주기 산정작업을 수행한 사례를 기술하고자 한다.

  • Typically Korea Railroad is executing the limited inspection and general inspection about passenger car by mileage and the time elapsed.(ex. one year, two years) These types of inspection system continue from the beginning of the railroad operation of the steam locomotive age to present. According to the rolling stocks modernized and improved, mileage and the time elapsed for periodical inspection has been expanded but the basic maintainability system of rolling stocks is not that different from the past. This fact needs verification that modern inspection method is right from various fields. In this paper, we analyze the data that we get the maintenance record from Korea railroad company about periodical inspection and failure. Next to considering the correlation of periodical inspection with failure based on analyzed data for watching periodical inspection effects. And we desire to need efficient rolling stock maintenance system better than fixed periodical inspection.
