The $360^{\circ}$ Virtual Reality (VR) live-action movies are filmed by attaching multiple cameras to a rig to shoot the images omni-directionally. Especially, for a live-action film that requires a variety of scenes, the director of photography and his staff usually have to operate the rigged cameras directly all around the scene and edit the footage during the post-production stage so that the entire process can incur much time and high cost. However, it will also be possible to acquire high-quality omni-directional images with fewer staff if the camera rig(s) can be controlled remotely to allow more flexible camera walking. Thus, a $360^{\circ}$ VR filming system with remote-controlled camera rig has been proposed in this study. The movie producers will be able to produce the movies that provide greater immersion with this system.

2009년 출시된 영화 "AVATAR"가 stereoscopic방식 3D영화로 대단한 성공을 거둔 이후로 가전시장과 필름 시장에는 많은 3D 영상들이 stereoscopic방식으로 제작되어 유통되게 되었다. 하지만 기존에 제시되어온 two lens stereoscopic camera system은 두 대의 카메라를 사용하기 때문에 광학적 정렬과 기하학적 조절이 매우 어렵기 때문에 stereoscopic 영상을 촬영하고 보급 하는데 많은 문제점을 가지고 있었다. 따라서 하나의 광축을 가진 single lens stereoscopic camera system들이 기존에 제시되어 왔으나 여전히 single lens stereoscopic system에도 문제점이 존재한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존에 제시된 stereoscopic camera system을 two lens / single lens로 나누어 조사 분석하고, 분석한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 새로운 single lens stereoscopic camera system을 제안할 것이다.

영화, 드라마 등과 같은 콘텐츠에서 표현되는 감정은 등장인물의 대화와 표정뿐만이 아니라, 영상이 표현하는 다양한 정보 중 하나인 촬영기법, 장면의 배경 등을 통해서도 표현된다. 특히 핸드헬드 샷은 불안정하지만 현장감과 자유분방한 감정을 관객에게 전달하며 긴장감, 공포 등 배우들의 감정선을 따라가게 하는 효과가 있다. 따라서 영상 콘텐츠에서 감정 정보를 분석하기 위해서는 핸드헬드 샷을 검출하는 것은 기초적인 작업에 해당한다. 본 논문에서는 핸드헬드 샷을 양방향 LSTM을 활용하여 구별하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법으로 인식한 핸드헬드의 인식 정확도는 97%였다.

With the advent of digital cinema, more and more movies are digitally produced, distributed via digital medium such as hard drives and network, and finally projected using a digital projector. However, digital cameras capable of shotting at 2K or higher resolution for digital cinema are still very expensive and bulky, which impedes rapid transition to digital production. As a low-cost solution for acquiring high resolution digital videos, we propose a hybrid camera consisting of a low-resolution CCD for capturing videos and a high-resolution CCD for capturing still images at regular intervals. From the output of the hybrid camera, we can synthesize high-resolution videos by software as follows: for each frame, 1. find pixel correspondences from the current frame to the previous and subsequent keyframes associated with high resolution still images, 2. synthesize a high-resolution image for the current frame by copying the image blocks associated with the corresponding pixels from the high-resolution keyframe images, and 3. complete the synthesis by filling holes in the synthesized image. This framework can be extended to making NPR video effects and capturing HDR videos.

As unmanned aerial vehicle(UVA), drone means a flying object that could aviate the route entered by a program in advance or remotely-controlled when a pilot is not on board. Drone that has been initially developed for the military purpose is currently used for diverse areas such as agricultural industry, leisure activity, logistics service, and life-saving area. Out of these areas, the shooting drone equipped with a camera is actively used for diverse image contents production areas including film and broadcasting area. This paper examines the characteristics of drone for the purpose of shooting, and also handles the shooting techniques using drone. Especially, this study aims to suggest and discuss the methods to shoot diverse camera working used by the existing image shooting with the use of drone after examining the operation of shooting drone used for the image contents production area.

With the popularity of VR content, actual image based VR 360-degree video production using various shooting devices has attracted attention in recent years. Requiring a lot of work, the existing VR content production was possible only at the level of the research institute, but the recent miniaturization of cameras has made the VR actual image shooting more common to the content creators. In this paper, we compare and study various VR contents distribute in today's context and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of robust actual image-based 360 video production in terms of cost. We are to point out the disadvantages that make it difficult for existing video shooting experts to use and suggest a solution for this. The experiment shooting proved that it can be operated more manually than action cam or integrated camera and 360-degree shooting on a raw format support camera is more suitable for film type post-production.

Before 1990's, Korea had only few colleges that had film and film related majors. As Korean film industry started its marvelous improvement in both commercial and artistic phase, many colleges were interested in this new academic field. They hurried up to launch this new and profitable major; as a result, Korea now has more than hundred colleges and universities that has film related majors. Each college enumerates numbers of academic courses that may look reasonable; they have almost every course a fine film school should provide such as film theory, production, and performance in film. Lots of film schools offer lots of film courses; and they look alike. One unique thing in film major is its vast sub fields and categories. After you decide to study film, you have to select what specific field in film you want to study. Studying film theory and film production can be as different as majoring physics and physical education. The problem Korean colleges are dealing with is that there are too much film schools, and moreover those colleges have similar curriculums that just look like a department store that sells everything. One suggestion is specializing its curriculum in which the school can take advantages using their special conditions. San Francisco Art Institute is one of United States well known private film schools, but many people remember this school as a specialized film school in experimental film. San Francisco where this school is located has had many liberal and experimental artists as the city has been supporting and offering them an environment they can concentrate their work. Naturally, the school has world famous faculty members in experimental film, and students who want to study and make experimental film come to this school from all over the world because they know this school would be the best to study experimental film. There are many film schools in metro Los Angeles area; since its location near Hollywood, no wonder these schools concentrate on film producing and film production. They take advantage of their geographical location to hire film industry professional and to focus on commercial feature film productions. What we can do now to adjust the curriculum in film and film related major in Korean colleges is to adapt new standards in this changed film industry. One school can emphasize digital production while another school focuses on digital intermediate process. But if one school tries to both fields or all fields of film major just like we have done so far, the school could not take care of all the equipment and the faculty that the fields would need. Korean film schools should devide the field in film major and concentrate what they selected. Selection and concentration can be and should be applied in Korean film schools.

This paper analyzes the spatial representations constructed by reality, filming, and narrative in the works of Hong Kong film director Wong Kar-wai, and how these spaces influence Hong Kong's urban culture, perception, and interpersonal relationships. To analyze Wong Kar-wai's films, Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics concepts and Paul Virilio's spatial concepts were applied. Through this, we examined how the meaning embedded in the spatial representations of Wong Kar-wai's films could become a crucial factor in their success. Wong Kar-wai focused on the values of human relationships formed by society in his subject expression, directly representing the human inner world and prompting audiences to think about it. In this paper, we categorized the spaces depicted in Wong Kar-wai's films as public, private, and connective spaces, and analyzed them as a means to show the living environment and emotions of Hong Kong's youth. Through this, we determined that the spatial representations in Wong Kar-wai's films effectively demonstrate the cultural interpretation function of Hong Kong's citizen consciousness at the junction of Eastern and Western cultures and social connections. In conclusion, Wong Kar-wai's works provide a rich understanding of contemporary people's lives, emotions, and urban spaces, offering valuable insights into Hong Kong's film industry and cultural values.

This paper aims to derive the specificity of film music of Baz Luhrmann, a Hollywood film director, focusing on his representative works such as Dancing Heroes, Romeo and Juliet, and Moulin Rouge. Frist, Dancing Heroes captures various dance music genres through dynamic shooting techniques and shows trendy sensibility by using the main theme song 'Time after Time,' sung by the main character, Tina. Second, Romeo and Juliet, the original work of Shakespeare, keeps thier lines and stories while decorating gorgeous fashion and rock music in jukebox style. Also, it is harmonized with the most modern and trendy MTV-style video. Third, Moulin Rouge presents film music through the 'mix and match' method, which consists of jukebox-type trendy songs containing classical back stage musical and Bollywood musical images. In conclusion, the style of Baz Luhrmann has been reborn as a unique way of directing Buz Luhrmann's film music that it is expressed by connecting various juke box style music with amazing visual effect. Through director's style, it is possible to suggest the direction of various film music to the industries.

한류 열풍이 확산되면서 한류 관광을 목적으로 하는 한류 관광객이 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 추세에 따라 한류 관광객을 위한 한류 관광 정보 제공 웹페이지를 설계하고 구현하였다. 영화, 드라마, 예능 등 작품을 키워드로 하여 출연 연예인, 촬영 장소, 촬영 음식에 관한 정보를 제공하여 한류 관광에 최적화된 정보를 제공하도록 하였다. 또한, 자유 게시판은 관광객들 간의 자유로운 소통과 교류를 통해서 다양한 정보를 주고받을 수 있는 기능을 할 수 있도록 설계하였다.
