영상 정보의 발전으로 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 가능하게 하였고 네트워크와 IT의 발전으로 사용자가 풍부한 정보를 접할 수 있는 기회를 제공하였다. 이러한 동영상과 정지영상의 많은 정보를 압축하는 여러 방식 중에서 디지털 비디오 압축 관련 국제 표준안 중 MPEG-4와 H.264가 발표되었다. 유연성이 좋은 MPEG-4와 달리 H.264는 비디오 프레임의 효율적인 압축과 신뢰성을 강조 한다. 특히 H.264의 압축 기술은 HDTV처럼 큰 영상 뿐 아니라 카메라폰이나 DMB등의 특히 작은 크기의 영상에서 고품질의 영상을 보다 효율적으로 제공 한다. 본 논문은 기존의 동영상 압축 표준에 비하여 높은 압축성능과 유연성의 장점을 가지고 있고 표준 H.264/AVC에서 공간적 예측을 사용하여 비디오 프레임을 압축하는 방법인 Intra coding 에서 사용하는 여러 모드 중 4*4 예측모드를 연구하여 C언어를 이용한 최적화된 시뮬레이션과 Intra coding decoder의 성능평가를 통한 최적화를 실시하였고, 최적화된 예측 정보를 바탕으로 Intra coding decoder를 VHDL언어를 이용하여 하드웨어로 구현하였다.

Without the involvement of time in animation, it cannot be possible to create movement. Therefore, tine is the important element to create animation. In animation, the expression of the emotion of character is more complicate than the appearance. Time is one of element to use for express of the emotion. It can be divided two types of time as the real time and the animation time broadly. The real time has linear, irreversible and analogue form which is in our daily life. And the animation time has multi-direction, reversible, and digital form which can be detected in the movie. For the animation time, there are many types of time that are the running time, the production time, the subjective time, the objective time, the ambiguous time and the universal time etc. This study is to extend and enrich the express as film language through various types of times in animation. Time is one of important element that can be useful method for expressing many unique scenes in film art as film language.

The purpose of this study was to explore children and robot interaction in distant language learning environments using three different video-conferencing technologies-two traditional screen-based videoconference technologies and a telepresence robot. One American and six Korean elementary school students participated in our case study. We relied on narratives of one-on-one interviews and observation of nonverbal cues in robot assisted language learning. Our findings suggest that participants responded more positively to interactions via a telepresence robot than to two screen-based video-conferencings, with many citing a stronger sense of immediacy during robot-mediated communications.

동화는 사건의 흐름에 따라서 이야기를 진행시킨다. 그러나 독자인 어린이들의 관심을 지속적으로 유지하기 위하여 사건을 실제 순서와 다르게 배치해놓아 극적 효과를 꾀하는 경우가 많이 있다. 동화를 애니메이션으로 생성하는데 있어서 이러한 사건의 배치에 담긴 작가의 의도를 제대로 파악하는 것은 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 이처럼 사건의 흐름을 파악하고 이를 활용하기 위해서 다루어야 할 언어적 요소들에 대하여 살펴보고, 결합범주문법을 사용하여 동화에서 나타나는 시간 관계를 분석한다. 또한 각 시간 관계에 따라 애니메이션 효과를 높이기 위한 영상 기법을 제안하고 이를 이용하여 시간 관계를 재현하는 시스템을 설명한다.

요즘 시대는 영상 기술과 IT 발전으로 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위해 고품질의 비디오와 높은 데이터 압축을 요구하게 되었고, 이를 위해 MPEG-4 AVC/H.264에서는 기존의 MPEG-4에서 채택한 VLC 기술과 유사한 Context-based Adaptive Variable Length Code(CAVLC)기술을 채택하여 이를 가능하게 하였다. 특히 CAVLC 기술은 HDTV처럼 큰 영상 뿐 아니라 카메라폰이나 DMB등과 같은 영상에서 고품질의 영상을 보다 효율적으로 제공 한다. 본 논문은 최근의 이미지와 비디오 압축에 대한 요구에 따라 H.264/AVC와 MPEG4-PART 1-에서 표준으로 채택한 CAVLC의 부호화 과정을 연구하여 Visual C++언어를 이용한 최적화된 시뮬레이션과 CAVLC의 성능평가를 통한 최적화를 실시하였고, 최적화된 예측 정보를 바탕으로 CAVLC를 VHDL언어를 이용하여 하드웨어로 구현하였다.

Purpose : To evaluate the usefulness of functional MR imaging (fMRI) for language mapping and determination of language lateralization. Materials and Methods : Functional maps of the language area were obtained during word generation tasks and decision task in ten volunteers (7 right handed, 3 left-handed). MR examinations were performed at 1.5T scanner with EPI BOLD technique. Each task consisted of three resting periods and two activation periods with each period of 30 seconds. Total acquisition time was 162 sec. SPM program was used for the postprocessing of images. Statistical comparisons were performed by using t-statistics on a pixel-by- pixel basis after global normalization by ANCOVA. Activation areas were topographically analyzed (p>0.001) and activated pixels in each hemisphere were compared quantitatively by lateralization index. Results : Significant activation signals were demonstrated in 9 of 10 volunteers. Activation signals were found in the premotor and motor cortices, the inferior frontal, inferior parietal, and mid-temporal lobes during stimulation tasks. In the right handed seven volunteers, activation of language areas was lateralized to the left side. Verb generation task produced stronger activation in the language areas and higher value of lateralization index than noun generation task or decision task. Conclusion : fMRI could be a useful non-invasive method for language mapping and determination of language dominance.

미디어방송이 다양해지고, 웹에서 소비되는 콘텐츠들 또한 멀티미디어 중심으로 재편되는 경향에 힘입어 인공지능 연구에 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 적극적으로 활용하고자 하는 시도들이 시작되고 있다. 본 논문은 다양한 형태의 멀티모달 정보를 하나의 동영상 콘텐츠에 연계하여 분석하여, 통합된 형태의 융합정보 데이터셋을 구축한 연구를 소개하고자 한다. 구축한 인공지능 학습용 데이터셋은 영상/음성/언어 정보가 함께 있는 멀티모달 콘텐츠에 상황/의도/감정 정보 추론에 필요한 다양한 의미정보를 부착하여 활용도가 높은 인공지능 영상 데이터셋을 구축하여 공개하였다. 본 연구의 결과물은 한국어 대화처리 연구에 부족한 공개 데이터 문제를 해소하는데 기여하였고, 한국어를 중심으로 다양한 상황 정보가 함께 구축된 데이터셋을 통하여 다양한 상황 분석 기반 대화 서비스 응용 기술 연구에 활용될 것으로 기대할 수 있다.

Video was a cultural practice based on image. The audience longs to experience new things, not everyday things through by video images. There are many components of the image, but among them, color, a visual representation, plays a big role. Since the advent of color films, color has constantly evolved as an important component of visual art and has become an important role in innovative visual art design. According to film history data, filmmakers were interested in color since the film was created in 1895, but in the early stages of film development, film colors were only black and white. Because these two colors no longer satisfy viewers, more natural colors began to emerge from the film as it was colored. However, with the development of historical paintings, the lack of artistic creation and the public's level increased, making people more active in using colors because simple reproduction of natural colors alone does not satisfy people. The colors in the video are both techniques of expression and can be understood by mind and thought. It is also an indication that colors do not just exist, but they work strongly on human psychology. Now people are so motivated by repetitive and unimportant information that they find that the human intuitive system simplifies the information they receive unconsciously that they have certain customs and characteristics when they see things. Color is part of the film language, or color language can express the film's ideological themes or portray vivid characters in the film, and people are receiving more intuitive messages. This study analyzed the basic color components of bisexual lighting, namely, pink, blue, and purple, and analyzed how human psychology is affected through color, combining the scenes from the video. The purpose of this paper is to explore what color language bisexual lighting is expressed using color properties in images and how bisexual lighting interacts with human psychology through color.

음성이 성대진동에 의해서 생성된다는 것이 밝혀진 이래로 이것을 확인해 보기 위한 많은 노력이 있어왔다. 특히 성대의 빠른 진동을 느린 움직임으로 정확하게 관찰하기 위해서 후두스트로보스코프같은 기구가 사용되고 있지만, 이것은 실제 시간에 따른 성대움직임을 보는 것이 아니고, 또 불규칙한 진동이 나타날 경우에는 성대점막의 움직임을 관찰하는 것이 불가능한 단점이 있었다. 저자들은 초 당 8000 개의 연속된 영상을 기록할 수 있는 videokymography를 이용하여 성대점막의 실제 시간에 따른 움직임을 관찰해보고, 후두질환에서 나타나는 영상을 확인해 보기 위하여 본 연구를 시작하였다. This study considers the value of English-language films as material for learning a foreign tongue using posh discourse. In daily life, when we decline an invitation or convey unpleasant information to a listener, we use polite expressions; we are careful with our words. English language learners need to learn polite expressions in order to interact peacefully with others; doing so can minimize conflict, which is inherent in social relationships. This study uses the British drama Downton Abbey, which is about aristocracy. This study analyzes the posh discourse used in Downton Abbey and insists that students need to learn it explicitly. It is important to learn the polite expressions of this authentic drama in a real classroom. This study suggests that students work in groups to create a short video, and to try to understand the characters' personalities. Movies, TV dramas, and sitcoms provide great content that shows the various functions of the language that students want to learn. As a source of learning material, film can help improve students' motivation and interest in learning a foreign language.
