배플이 달린 로켁 연소실내의 음향 효과 (Linear Acoustic Waves in Baffled Rocket Combustion Chambers)

  • 고온 고압의 액체 로켓 엔진 연소실 설계에서 연소 불안정 현상은 항상 큰 문제로 인식되어 왔다. 이 문제의 근본적인 원인은 연소로 인한 급격한 열 방출에 기인하며 연소 과정에서 생기는 아주 작은 소음이 연소실 내의 음향모드와 상이 일치하면서 연소실 내의 압력이 급격히 높아져 엔진의 파손까지도 가져오게 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 연소 불안정 현상을 제거하기 위해 사용되는 안정화 장치로서 배플이 어떻게 로켓 연소실의 안정화에 도움을 주는가에 대한 이론적인 배경을 제공하는데 그 주안점을 두어 베플이 부착된 연소실에 대하여 음향해석을 행하여 배플을 사용함으로 인한 여러 가지 특이한 효과들이 연소 불안정 현상을 제거하는 중요한 메카니즘으로 작용함을 밝혀 내었다. 이중 대표적인 것으로는 첫째, 배플 격실내에서 횡모드 음향파가 종모드화되는 경향이며, 둘째, 연료 분사면 주위에서 불안정 유동이 극히 억제되는 현상과, 셋째로 연소실 내의 정상모드 진동수가 감소되는 현상등이다.

냉이온수기 냉각시스템에 관한 열유동 해석 (Thermal-flow Analysis of the Cooling System in the Medicated Water Electrolysis Apparatus)

  • Medicated water electrolysis apparatus, which electrolyzes water into acidic water and alkaline water, was in the spotlight as becoming known the effect of alkaline water. It is known as good for health as removing active oxygen in the human's body and promoting digestion. But, the customers could not get that desired water temperature because these apparatuses are directly connected with a water pipe. So, the cooling system was developed for controlling the temperature of the alkaline water. One of the typical way is to store water in water tank and control the temperature. But, in this way, storing water can be polluted impurities coming from outside. For protecting this pollution, the cooling system based on indirect heat exchange method through phase change between water and ice was developed. In this study, we have calculated efficiency of the cooling system with phase change by experiment and commercial CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) code, ANSYS CFX. To consider the effect of latent heat that is generated by melting ice, we have simulated two phase numerical analyses used enthalpy method and found the temperature, velocity, and ice mass distribution for calculating the efficiency of cooling. From the results of numerical analysis, we have obtained the relationship between the cooling efficiency and each design factor.

중형 상용차 통풍형 브레이크 디스크의 제동 시 열 유동 및 변형 해석 (Thermal Fluid Flow and Deformation Analysis of Medium Commercial Vehicle Ventilated Brake Disc in Braking)

  • Domestic automobile companies have adopted drum type brake system for commercial vehicles. However recently those companies have been applying disc-brake system to solve vehicle control-instability and inefficient heat discharge performance of conventional drum brake system for a medium commercial vehicle. Because the kinetic energy of a running commercial vehicle is relatively high, the brake system should discharge lots of heat energy while braking. A ventilated type brake disc has been used to increase heat discharge performance of a brake system. The vent structure of a disc highly affects cooling efficiency. This paper compares thermal characteristics of three types of vent structure in JASO C421 braking condition. It is found that the slant bend type disc has the lowest temperature and thermal stress distributions in the braking condition.

내부휜이 부착된 원형관 열교환기의 열/유동 해석 및 최적설계 (Flow/Heat Transfer Analysis and Shape Optimization of a Heat Exchanger with Internally Finned Tube)

  • Analyses of flow and heat transfer characteristics and shape optimization of internally finned circular tubes have been performed for three-dimensional periodically fully developed turbulent flow and heat transfer. CFD and mathematical optimization are coupled in order to optimize the shape of heat exchanger. The design variables such as fin widths $(d_{1},\;d_{2})$ and fin height (h) are numerically optimized by minimizing the pressure loss and maximizing the heat transfer rate for limiting conditions of $d_{1}=0.2\~1.5\;mm,\;d_{2}=0.2\~1.5\;mm,$ and $h=0.2\~1.5mm$. Due to the periodic boundary conditions along main flow direction, the three layers of meshes are considered. The flow and thermal fields are predicted using the finite volume method and the optimization is carried out by means of the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) method which is widely used in the constrained nonlinear optimization problem.

  • 본 연구에서는 에틸렌-공기 혼합물에서의 충격파에 의해 유도되는 화염폭발천이현상을 수치적 계산을 통하여 살펴본다. 연구에 사용된 모델은 점성력, 열전단, 몰질량 확산, 그리고 화학 반응을 고려한 Navier-Stokes 방정식으로 관 내부 유동을 해석하였다. 반복되는 압력파와 화염의 상호 작용에 의해 발생되는 화염의 불안정성에 의해 화염면이 증가하게 되는데 이를 통해 화학 반응률의 증가와 더불어 연소열의 상승하게 된다. 이러한 과정들이 반복되면서 발생할 수 있는 연소폭발천이 현상을 벽면 온도 조건의 변화(단열조건과 일정한 온도 조건)에 따라 어떻게 변화 되는지를 모델링하였다.

  • 축열조에 대한 연구에서 유입되는 유입수와 초기 저장수와의 사이에 필연적으로 일어나는 혼합 현상을 최대로 억제함으로서 열성층을 형성시켜야 한다. 열성층을 지배하는 인자로는 각종 동적, 기하학적 인자 등이 있다. 동적 인자는 유입 유동율이며 기하학적 인자로는 유출입구 형상이다. 출구 온도를 이용하여 축열조 내의 열성층 정도를 파악할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 성층도를 제시하였고 동적 인자와 더불어 열성층에 영향을 미치는 여러 지배 물성치들을 차원 해석하여 적절한 무차원 형태로 단순화 시켜 얻어진 Peclet수, Richardson수와 성층도의 관계를 확립함으로써 가장 안정된 열성층을 얻을 수 있는 동적 임계 조건을 밝혔다.

  • NOx의 배출저감 방법으로 선박용 디젤엔진의 최적화만으로는 배기가스의 NOx 배출량 제한을 만족시킬 수 없기 때문에 반드시 배기가스를 후처리하여 NOx를 저감할 수 있는 방안이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 현재 개발 중에 있는 선박용 SCR 촉매 유닛 일체형 덕트용 오일 버너 시스템에서 요소수를 NH3로 효과적으로 변환하기 위한 이류체 노즐과 믹싱 챔버 덕트에 관한 설계 타당성 여부를 속도분포 및 온도분포에 대한 전산열유동 해석을 통해 검토하고자 한다.

  • This study is about the distribution of heat transfer in air conditioning ducts used for marine vessels and oil drilling platforms. As the convective heat transfer coefficient increased, heat transfer was conducted dynamically to inside as it exited to the outlet of duct. The experiment was to determine if the amount of heat transfer generated at the duct exit increased as the convective heat transfer coefficient increased. When the convective heat transfer coefficient was low, the temperature of the duct showed a relatively high temperature difference between the outside and inside of the duct due to the temperature influence of the internal fluid. In case of temperature distribution generated the volume of the duct along the change of the convective heat transfer coefficient, the temperature descended as heat transfer was promoted and the convective heat transfer coefficient increased.

소형 쉘앤튜브형 열교환기의 운전 조건에 따른 열유동 거동 특성 해석 (Analysis on Characteristics of Behavior of Thermal Flow According to Operation Conditions of Small-sized Shell and Tube-type Heat Exchanger)

  • The shell and tube-type heat exchanger was the most utilized in industrial field because of its simple structure and wide operation conditions and so on. This study was performed to investigate the characteristics of behavior of thermal flow according to operation condition of small-sized shell and tube-type heat exchanger. The operation conditions, here, were set up to flow rate of hot air with temperature of 100℃, number of baffle and cut rate of baffle(BCR) using numerical analysis. As the results, both mean relative pressure and relative pressure drop was increased with quadratic curve in case of less than BCR 25%, however, decreased linearly in case of more than BCR 25%. The collision with first baffle by flow velocity and temperature, of hot air, respectively, was depended on BCR. Further it showed that the behaviors between flow velocity and temperature were almost similar.
