Performance Assessment of Deteriorated Reinforced Concrete Bridge Columns (열화된 철근콘크리트 교각의 성능평가)

  • This paper presents a nonlinear finite element analysis procedure for the performance assessment of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge columns. A computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), was used to analyze these reinforced concrete structures. Material nonlinearity is taken into account by comprising tensile, compressive and shear models of cracked concrete and a model of reinforcing steel. Advanced deteriorated material models are developed to predict behaviors of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge columns. The proposed numerical method for the performance of damaged reinforced concrete bridge columns is verified by comparison with reliable experimental results.

A Durability Assessment on Complex Deterioration of Concrete with Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag Replacement (복합열화 환경하에서의 고로슬래그미분말 사용 콘크리트의 내구성능 평가)

  • This paper presents the experimental results of frost durability characteristics including freezing-thawing and de-icing salt scaling of the concrete for gutter of the road and marine structure. Mixtures were proportioned with the three level of water-binder ratio(W/B) and three binder compositions corresponding to Type I cement with 0%, 30% and 50% GGBS(Ground granulated blast furnace slag) replacement. Also, two different solutions of calcium chloride were used to evaluate their effect on the frost durability resistance. Specially, in case of complex of freezing and thawing with salt and carbonation, the deterioration of concrete surface is evaluated. Test results showed that the BFS30 and BFS50 mixture exhibited higher durability and lower mass loss values than those made with OPC mix and the use of GGBS can be used effectively in terms of economy and frost durability of the concrete to be in complex deterioration. Therefore, the resistance to complex deterioration with freezing-thawing was strongly influenced by the strength and the type of cement.

  • 본 논문에서는 한국전력공사에서 장기열화 시험을 수행한 154kV 고분자애자의 성능평가를 수행하고 그 결과를 1999년부터 2008년까지 한국전력공사154kV 송전선로에 시범 설치한 고분자애자의 주간코로나, 열화상 측정을 시행하고 제조회사/규격별 각 24련을 발취하여 총 168련에 대하여 한전 표준구매 규격에 따른 각종 시험을 수행하고 현 성능상태를 검증하였으며 이를 토대로 잔존 수명을 예측하고자 하였다. 대부분의 애자가 양호한 성능을 보이고 있으나 일부 애자에서는 부적합 결과를 보였으며 수명의 경우, 초기 품질계수 정보 부족 및 중간열화 상태의 데이터 부족으로 정확한 잔존수명 예측 데이터를 얻기에는 부족했으며 추가적인 가속열화시험 등의 데이터를 확보해야 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 원자력발전소 중대 사고를 모사한 비가시 환경에서 적외선 열화상카메라의 관측성능 (가시도)을 정량적으로 평가하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 세계기상기구의 가시도 정의를 이용하여 가시도를 측정하였으며, 측정된 가시도 조건에서 적외선 열화상카메라의 관측성능을 평가하였다.

Resistance to Freezing and Thawing of Concrete Subjected to Carbonation (탄산화를 받은 콘크리트의 동결융해 저항성)

  • In this study, the degree of deterioration of concrete was investigated in the laboratory under conditions of carbonation and freeze-thaw cycling, which are the major causes of the deterioration of its performance. In this test, the carbonated concrete was subjected to combined freeze-thaw deterioration tests for up to 300 cycles, and its dynamic elastic modulus and compressive strength were measured. The evaluation of the effect of the water-binder ratio on normal concrete subjected to combined carbonization and freezing-thawing showed that its resistibility against such combined deterioration decreased more rapidly in the concrete with a water-binder ratio of 55 % compared with that having a water-binder ratio of 35 %. In the case where the concrete was blended with a mineral admixture consisting of fly ash and blast furnace slag at the same water-binder ratio, it showed an increase of its resistibility against combined deterioration.

  • 최근 지진, 폭우, 해일 등의 갑작스런 재난으로 인하여 세계 많은 곳에서 피해를 받고 있다. 하지만 우리나라의 경우 각종 재난이 발생하였을 때 이를 효과적으로 알리기 위한 시스템이 존재 하지 않는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 갑작스런 재난이 발생하였을 때 이를 효과적으로 알리기 위한 시스템으로 추가적인 주파수를 필요로 하지 않는 Water-marking 기법을 이용하여 기존의 T-DMB 대역폭에 재난 안전 방송을 추가하여 필요시 재난 상황을 알리는 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. Water-marking 기법의 경우 추가적인 대역폭을 요구하지 않으면서 기존 시스템의 성능 열화를 최소화 하는 방법으로 추가적인 통신 서비스를 가능하게 해 주는 시스템이다. 이를 위해서는 적절한 SS 송수신기 설계와 기존 시스템의 성능열화 범위를 계측할 필요가 있다. 본 논문은 기존의 T-DMB 시스템에 SS 송신기를 추가함으로써 T-DMB의 성능열화는 최소화 하는 동시에 재난안전 방송을 위한 통신 시스템을 구축하고 이에 대한 성능평가를 실시하였다.

  • In this study, the concepts of integrated VE analysis assessment is introduced in order to achieve "Design for Deterioration performance" in design VE phase. For this purpose, a framework for fuzzy reliability based LCC and value analysis model using fuzzy logic based approach for breakwaters Projects is suggested. It is anticipated that the methodology Proposed in this paper can also be utilized in the design and maintenance phase of other facilities where decision making is made for the fuzzy reliability based life cycle cost and value analysis.

  • A test method for assessing service life of building materials and components based on performance degradation data is developed. The performance of a building material degrades as time goes by and the failure of the material is often defined as the point at which the performance of the material reaches a pre-specified degraded level. A performance-based test method is developed and a numerical example is provided to illustrate the use of the developed test method.

  • In this study, the key parameters affecting the deterioration of each track type were derived based on field inspections and laboratory tests. The existing track deterioration model was limited to the ballasted tracks, and the deterioration evaluation of concrete tracks was insufficient. In this study, the laboratory test was performed to evaluate the performance and condition of track components to derive the deterioration factors reflecting the characteristics of various track structures. In addition, through analysis of track maintenance history data, parameters affecting track deterioration and maintenance were derived. The key parameters for presenting a track deterioration model based on the track performance of ballasted and concrete tracks through field inspection, track maintenance history data analysis, and performance test of track components using on-site specimens were identified as track support stiffness, Ballast gravel, track settlement and Resilience pad were presented.

Insulation rehabilitation of water tree aged cables by silicone treatment (실리콘 처리에 의한 수트리 열화케이블의 절연회복)

  • This paper presents the results of performance evaluation of silicone treatment technique which was developed for the insulation rehabilitation of water tree aged XLPE power cables. We treated the water tree aged 325 [$\textrm{mm}^2$] CN/CV cables with silicone, and then analyzed the degree of insulation rehabilitation as a function of time. AC breakdown test was conducted to evaluate insulation rehabilitation. The diagnosis test using relaxation current measurement and the characteristic analysis of insulation were also performed to estimate silicone treated cable. AC breakdown strength of silicone treated cable for one year was increased, resulting from the chemical reaction between silicone fluid and water. This experiment showed that the silicone treatment technique was effective for insulation rehabilitation of the water tree aged cables.
