Roland Barthes views a myth as a chain of connotative concepts that are mutually connected. For him, a myth appears through a chain connotation that is mutually related, due to the first-stage signification system. In other words, the connotation of a particular scene is already inherent in a culture in the form of social convention or social values before it is made. In the case of Disney animation, as mentioned Barthes, it has also two layers of denotation and connotation for signification. However, Disney animation shows the tendency that seek the denotative representation and the direct communication, based on the typified character, to the representation and delivery of the myth that is inherent. Therefore, the tendency of denotative signification is seen Disney animation can be said as a branch of research methodology for the approach to the aesthetics of Disney animation.

Early 1920s, Joseon film production began with Japanese colonial rule organization and expanded into civilian. These films were influenced by the documentary film what recorded the scenery and the custom also influenced by kino drama that displayed the place of a dramatic incident. So these films developed into the form emphasize on place. At that time, hollywood serial films were popular. So the first Joseon films shooted a picturesque place and a landmark of the city in the background where heros took a risk. In the style stakes, Joseon films looked very similar to Japanese films. shooted long-take and long-shot, it had rhythm with narration of benshi and emphasized on visual excitation by using color. Early 1920s Joseon films which were similar to Japanese films changed from Japanese style to Hollywood style caused by Na woon-kyu's .

Polymerase chain reactin (PCR) could be a simple way to screen new microbial strains producing useful secondary metabolites if their biosynthetic genes are known and candidate strains to be screened are available. In this study, we have screened two myxobacterial strains, KYC3047 and KYC3076, carrying genes appeared to be biosynthetic genes of soraphen A, a potent antifungal substance, out of 50 cellulose degrading myxobacteria using PCR. The two strains were identified as Sorangium cellulosum based on morphological, physiological, and molecular biological characteristics. Both of the strains produced substances having strong antifungal activities as expected against Candida albicans, a causative agent of candidiasis, and Colletotrichum acutatum, a causative agent of anthracnose on pepper.

In this paper, speech enhancement using nonnegative matrix factorization with temporal continuity has been addressed. Speech and noise signals are modeled as Possion distributions, and basis vectors and gain vectors of NMF are modeled as Gamma distributions. Temporal continuity of the gain vector is known to be critical to the quality of enhanced speech signals. In this paper, temporal continiuty is implemented by adopting Gamma-Markov chain priors for noise gain vectors during the separation phase. Simulation results show that the Gamma-Markov chain models temporal continuity of noise signals and track changes in noise effectively.

한국인 집단에서 개인식별의 기초자료로 활용하고자 한국인 201명을 대상으로 STR 유전좌위 중 하나인 LPL 유전좌위의 유전자 빈도 및 유전자형 분포를 구하였다. 혈액으로부터 추출한 핵 DNA를 중합효소연쇄반응으로 증폭시키고 폴리아크릴아마이드 겔 상에서 전기영동하여 은염색한 후 관찰하여 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 1. 한국인 집단 201명의 LPL 유전자에서 5개의 대립유전자, 7개의 유전자형을 검출하였으며, 이형접합도는 50.7%로 나타났고 대립 유전자다양성 (allelic diversity value)은 0.454, 개 인식 별력 (PD)은 0.674를 보였다. 2. 대립 유전자 및 유전자빈도는 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 대립 유전자에서 각각 0.020, 0.714, 0.100, 0.164, 0.002로 나타났으며, 대립유전자 7, 8, 14는 관찰되지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 한국인 집단에서 STR LPL유전좌위의 유전자빈도는 친자감정 등 개인식별에 유용하게 사용할 수 있으나 감정실무에 응용시 다수의 STR유전좌위 및 VNTR유전좌위의 분석을 병행하여야 할 것으로 사료된다.

In this paper, we propose a new relay selection technique which utilizes interference cancellation with decoding information at multiple relays for buffer-aided successive relaying systems. The transmitting relay is selected if its own transmission to the destination is successful and the number of relays which can successfully decode the data from the source is the maximum at the same time. Simulation results show that the proposed relay selection technique significantly outperforms the conventional relay selection scheme in terms of outage probability.

In this study, we derived the characteristics of the geo-spatial information industry by using input-output analysis. For this analysis, we classified the geo-spatial information industry and reorganized the input-output table. And we derived the production inducement coefficient, index of the power of dispersion and index of the sensitivity of dispersion in the geo-spatial information industry. We confirmed that geo-spatial information industry has a small production inducement coefficient and a great forward linkage effect. Based on these facts, we suggested the strategy direction as follows: 1) building the industrial eco-system, 2) managing both advance and applicability enhancement, 3) Establishing from a long-term point of view.

Purpose : The p53 tumor suppressor gene is one of the most frequently altered genes in human malignancies. We try to explore the implication of p53 alteration in Ewing's sarcoma. Materials and Methods : We analyzed 35 paraffin blocks to explore the deletion and sequence alterations of p53. Results : Quantitative PCR analysis showed that 2 tumors showed a homozygous deletion of the gene. Mutational analysis of exons 4 to 9 of p53 by PCR-SSCP revealed that 3 tumors carry sequence alterations in exons 5 or 8, and DNA sequencing analysis identified missense point mutations. Conclusion : Taken together, our data demonstrate that p53 is genetically altered in a small fraction of Ewing's sarcoma.

Bacille Calmette-$Gu\acute{e}rin$ (BCG) lymphadenitis is the most common complication of BCG vaccination. It commonly occurs in infants aged <6 months involving ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes. We described BCG lymphadenitis in a 22-month-old boy presenting swelling of left supraclavicular lymph node that was confirmed by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the multiplex PCR targeting the region of difference (RD).

We often encounter the situation that discrete count data have a large portion of zeros. In this case, it is not appropriate to analyze the data based on standard regression models such as the poisson or negative binomial regression models. In this article, we consider Bayesian analysis for two commonly used models. They are zero-inflated poisson and negative binomial regression models. We use the Bayes factor as a model selection tool and computation is proceeded via Markov chain Monte Carlo methods. Crash count data are analyzed to support theoretical results.
