Differential Thermal Analysis of the Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis of Ti-Al mixture (Ti-Al의 고온 자전 반응 합성과정의 열시차 분석)

  • 본 연구에서는 TiAl 금속간 화합물을 자전 고온 반응법을 이용하여 제조시 반응과정을 열시차 분석 방법으로 분석하였다. 합금 조성은 Ti-45at% Al, 53at%Al, 알루미늄 분말 크기, 승온 속도, 성형 밀도 등을 변화시켜 이들이 반응 과정에 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 분말이 미세할수록, 승온속도가 느릴수록, 성형 밀도가 낮을수록 반응 점화 온도 및 연소 온도가 감소하였으며, 고상 Ti와 고상 Al간의 반응정도가 증가하는 것이 관찰되었다. 고상 Ti와 고상 Al간의 반응에서 생성되는 것은 XRD 분석 결과 Ti$Al_{3}$상으로 확인되었다. 이에 비하여 반응 점화 온도가 알루미늄의 용융 온도보가 높을 경우에는 생성되는 상이 $Ti_{3}$Al, TiAl상으로 확인되었다. 이러한 상의 생성 원인에 대하여 확산 계수 및 알루미늄의 용해도등의 요인으로 설명하였다.

  • Mild combustion or Flameless oxidation(FLOX) have been considered as one of the most prospective clean-combustion technologies to meet both the targets of high process efficiency and low pollutant emissions. A mild combustor with high air preheating and strong internal exhaust gas recirculation is characterized by relatively low flame temperature, low NOx emissions, no visible flame and no sound. In this study, the Steady Flamelet Approach has been applied to numerically analyze the combustion processes and NOx formation in the mild combustor. The detailed discussion has been made f3r the basic characteristics of mild combustor, numerical results and limitation of the present combustion modeling.

  • 화재시뮬레이션을 통한 화재 해석 시 Grid의 간격은 해석의 정확도를 결정짓는 중요한 요인 중 하나이다. 일반적으로 Grid의 간격의 계산은 화재 강도에 따른 화염의 높이를 계산하여 이의 1/10크기 간격을 적용하였다. 그러나 일반적인 구조물과 달리 펠릿구조물의 경우 적층의 구조와 다공성을 가지기 때문에 기존의 산정법에 의한 계산은 실제 화재와 다른 양상으로 나타날 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 SFPE 방화공학 핸드북에서 제시된 목재펠릿의 화재강도 실험결과를 기준으로 총 3CASE의 Grid 간격 설정으로 화재해석을 실시하였으며 이를 비교 분석하였다.

Effects of Sr on the Electrical Properties of PZT Ceramics Prepared by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (자전연소반응법에 의해 제조된 PZT의 전기적 특성에 미치는 Sr의 영향)

  • PSZT are selected and SHS are applied to each system. The sintering properties of PSZT powders showed $7.754g/cm^3$ of sintered density and $4{\mu}m$ of grain size at sintering temperature of $1250^{\circ}C$. Curie temperature lowered gradually from $363.6^{\circ}C\;to\;319.2^{\circ}C$ and relative dielectric constants increased rapidly by a quantity of Sr. This remarkable contrast in dielectric properties with powder preparation methods, in this study, was not due to grain size and sintered density but rather a crystallinity and sinterability of synthesized powders, extra-supplied Pb during reaction, mol fraction of rhombohedral phase and purity of starting materials.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 자체 설계 제작한 하이브리드 발사체를 이용하여 대기 중의 미세먼지를 측정하는데 있다. 대기 중의 미세먼지를 측정하기 위한 방법으로는 중량농도법을 이용하였으며, 미세먼지 측정을 위한 포집장치를 자체 제작하였다. 엔진은 5port의 HDPE(High Density Polyethylene)를 연료 그레인으로 사용하였고 $LN_2O$(Liquefied Nitrous Oxide)를 산화제로 사용하였다. 압력, 가속도, GPS 등을 수집하며, 하이브리드 발사체의 동체는 FRP(Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics)로 제작한다. 전체 비행시간은 총 95초로 예상되며. 연소시간은 3초, 고도는 800 m 이다.

  • TiC-Mo2C composites were prepared from Ti-C-Mo system by HPCS which has a great advantage of simulataneous synthesis and sintering In this study physical properties and microstructures of the com-posites were measured and observed to compare the sintering effects of Ni and Co each other : The results showed that the role of 5 wt% Ni in the sintering of the carbide composites was superior to that of 5wt% Co and the optimum content of Mo in the Ti-C-Mo system was 20wt% The carbide composites prepared under these two conditions had the best properties with 1.0% in apparent porosity 97.6% in relative density 19.1GPa in Vickers hardness and 5.3MPa$.$m1/2 in fracture toughness.

Risk Evaluation of Oxidizing Substances by Burning Test Method (연소시험법에 의한 산화성물질의 위험성 평가)

  • This paper was concerned with the risk evaluation of oxidizing substances by burning test method. The samples were prepared the heaped cone-shaped mixtures of solid oxidizing sub-stance with sawdust, and ignition of the sample was made on contact with heating wire inside the combution chamber that the temperature and humidity of atmosphere can be kept at $25^{\circ}C$ and 60% respectively. Accordingly, it were measured the combustivity effect of mixing ratio and amount of sample weight on the burning rate. As a result of burning test of these samples, it could be noticed that the case when the sawdust has so and 30 wt.% in the mixing ratio shows effective combustivity, and as the amount of sample weight was increasing, It showed more rapid burning time. So the average burning time could be obtained by considering the weighting factors to the parameters of the mixing ratio and the amount of sample weight. Finally, it was compared with the effects of cation and anion of oxidizing substances and also applied analytically to the classification and evaluation of oxidizing sub-stances as dangerous goods.

In-Cylinder Phenomena in a Swirl Type GDI Engine (스월형 GDI 엔진의 연소실내 현상 연구)

  • For the purpose of helping development of a GDI(Gasoline Direct Injection) engine, the in-cylinder phenomena, such as the spray behaviors and fuel distributions, unburned fuel, and flame characteristics were investigated in a single cylinder GDI engine. The GDI engine was equipped with a swirl type electronic injector and SCV(Swirl Control Valve). PLIF(Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence) system with KrF Excimer laser was used for the measurements of the fuel distributions. The effects of the injector specifications, such as the spray cone angle and the offset angle on the fuel distributions and combustion characteristics were investigated. As a result, it was found that the injected fuel spray collided with the bottom of the bowl and moved upward along the exhaust side wall of the piston bowl. This fuel vapor played a important role in the instance of spark ignition. The injector specifications has a great influence on the flame characteristics.

  • Auto ignition of hybrid rocket using $N_2O$ catalytic decomposition was studied in the present study. The hybrid rocket consists of catalytic igniter, solid fuel, combustor, and nozzle. The Ru/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst for $N_2O$ decomposition was synthesized by an impregnation method, and $N_2O$ conversion as reaction temperatures was measured. The temperature change of the catalytic ignitor was measured at the operating condition, and the possibility for the auto ignition of hybrid rocket was validated.
