The purpose of this study tries to show the effectiveness of integrated theater education for low-grade students who lack social skills with the direction of art education based on 'theatrical and educational theater' and 'theater therapy' in the revised curriculum in 2015. To do this, the researcher organized a theater camp organized by the social, cultural and arts education institute in Seoul for a total of 12 low-grade elementary school students for four weeks, and had a presentation session. In addition, the researcher observed the behavioral changes of the participating children to verify the social development of the theater education and after the conclusion, the final results were obtained through the in-depth interviews of the participants' parents and teachers. As a result, it was found that Social Skills Rating System(SSRS)' test, teachers' observation logs, interviews, and responses of participating children, which are the main subjects of this activity, had a great effect on improving their sociality and relationship. Therefore, the researcher tried to prove through this paper that theater education is effective in enhancing social skills as creative, personality and convergence education in preparation for the 4th industrial era and that it is important to solve communication problems such as the absence of human relationships.

This study is to re-read Yun, Baek-nam(1888-1954)'s editorial "Theatre and Society" from the perspective of postcolonial criticism. He was a man of the theatre who pursued practical interests in compliance with the colonial reality under the rule of the Japanese imperialism. His advocacy of theatre development work was based on the Japan-directional reformism and on Japan-friendly in following after Japan's improvement policy. His general discussion on Western theatre history had considerable errors as a result of focus on the social role and utility of the theatre. But his vindication of theatre-actor opened an era of interaction between theatre and intelligence in Korea. In addition, his enlightening view of a theatre became such as one of the cornerstones for the Shinkug Movement during Japanese colonial period in Korea.

The purpose of this study was to develop creative drama group program for children with mental retardation. To develop this program, the study begins with and in depth examination of the prior creative drama models, techniques and constructivism theory. The style of this creative drama program for children with mental retardation is a 24 session structured program, a small group program. The techniques of this creative drama program are a orientation, warming-up, main performance, feedback and sharing. Major findings were as follows. 4 mentally with mental retardation in creative drama group program showed a significant increased social competence. Also, children with mental retardation children showed the positive social skill change through the creative drama group program. Based on these findings, implications for creative drama group program for children with mental retardation were suggested.

정보화 사회에 이어 고도정보화 사회가 되면서 학교에서도 컴퓨터를 활용한 교육의 중요성이 날로 높아지고 있으며 학습자 서로의 도움을 중시하는 협동학습 또한 점점 더 강조되고 있다. 이에 초등학교 국어과의 연극단원을 가르치는데 학생의 발달 단계에 맞는 연극 유형을 알아보고 협동학습의 여러 모형 중 집단탐구모형에 기초하여 모둠 구성원들이 주도적으로 연극 유형을 골라 스스로 탐색, 토의 한 후 실제로 연극을 할 수 있는 시스템을 설계했다. 연극 학습의 특성상 초등학교의 교과서에 나오는 극본을 조사하고 이를 실제 학습에 활용 가능한 10가지 연극 유형으로 분류하여 학생들이 적합한 유형을 선택하거나 활용할 수 있도록 제시하였으며 가능한 동영상 자료를 중심으로 시스템의 컨텐트를 구성하였다.

The purpose of this study was to review the effectiveness of drama program for the people with developmental disabilities in Korea by using method of meta-analysis. At first, master's theses, doctoral dissertations, and journal articles published in Korea up to January, 2022 were reviewed. Resultingly a total of 13 studies were eligible base upon the inclusion criteria. The mean effect sizes and test for homogeneity of effect size (Q-statistic) were analyzed by using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Software 2.0. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, the average effect sizes for drama program for people with developmental disabilities were ES= 0.8335 for sociality, ES= 0.6512 of self-expression. Second, by analysing the moderate variables of the effect size for drama program for people with developmental disabilities, 'age', 'the number of session' 'the type of drama program', 'the major of drama director' were statistically significant. The research and practice implications of drama programs for people with developmental disabilities in Korea were suggested.

As a result, a total of 39 studies were eligible for the inclusion criteria. First, the average effect sizes for drama program were ES=1.922 of verbal expression, ES=1.898 of emotional intelligence, ES=1.558 of creativity, ES= 1.292 of sociability. Second, by analysing the moderate variables of the effect size for drama program, 'age' of verbal expression, creativity and sociability, 'sessions' of verbal expression were statistically significant. Based on the study results, the research and practice implications were discussed.

Social Skills are one of the most important competency for student who live in the future Society. The purpose of this study is to propose a Forum Theatre Instruction utilizing smart devices as an alternative teaching and learning methods for enhancing the social skills of students, and to examine the effect of this instruction on the improvement of it. In order to achieve the purpose, the class was designed based on the 'Procedural Instructional Model for FTI using Digital Media', and the effectiveness of it was verified using 'SSIS'. FTI can be composed of six classes, and results of paired t-test showed that it was effective in enhancing students' social skills. Reflecting the interview results of the participant, the further requirements for improvement and efficient use of FTI were suggested.

본 논문은 일본의 시니어 극단 현황과 구체적인 사례를 조사하여 고령화 사회에 있어서 그 의미와 역할의 가능성을 고찰하는 데에 목적이 있다. 특히 최근 국내에서도 시니어 연극제가 개최되는 등, '노인 극단'이라는 이름 아래 고령자들이 직접 참여하는 연극 프로그램이 개발되고 있다는 점에서, 일본의 사례는 참고할만한 사례가 될 것으로 기대된다. 이를 위해, 본 연구에서는 우선 일본의 시니어 극단들의 활동 상황, 그리고 이렇게 활성화된 배경에는 어떠한 요소가 있는지 고찰해보았다. 일본 연극계에 이미 오랜 기간 연극을 즐기는 시니어 관객층이 존재했고, 또 주요 극단들이 그들을 주요 타깃으로 한 전략개발과 서비스가 행해지고 있었다는 점은 국내 상황과 다른 부분이었다. 그러나 니나가와 유키오 연출가가 이끄는 '사이타마 골드시어터'의 창단과 그 성과는 커다란 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 보인다. 전위적인 희곡을 가지고, 일본뿐 아니라 유럽과 아시아에서 예술성을 인정받은 극단이기 때문이다. 작품 활동뿐 아니라 실질적인 운영 내용을 파악하기 위해, 제작자와 배우의 인터뷰를 실시한 결과, 사실상 젊은 극단들과 차이가 없다는 사실도 알 수 있었다. 이러한 사례는 시니어 극단이 가질 수 있는 가능성의 범위를 넓혔다는 점에서 매우 유의미하다. 국내의 시니어 연극계에 긍정적인 자극이 되기 바라며, 보다 더 많은 데이터를 수집하는 것을 금후 과제로 한다.

This article aims to examine the concept and historical background of Applied Theatre and its major characteristics as a newly emerging theatrical practice in recent years. With these aims, the article chronicles the history of how Applied Theatre has developed and formed as an overarching umbrella term that encompasses different theatrical praxis. Given the ambiguity and confusion of this practice, the article argues the importance of recognizing the Applied Theatre's shifting paradigm of subject and object, a crucial element in understanding the practice. Further discussed is the exploration of 'community' in regards to comparing the similarities and differences among Applied Theatre, Community Theatre, and Community-based Performance. The article concludes that the essential comprehension of Applied Theatre's uniqueness comes from noticing and perceiving the paradigm shift that places participants and community as a subject of theatrical transaction rather than as an object, as traditional theatre has done so far.

This paper aims from various angles to examine the context of the problem situations that Jang Woo-Jae describes from contemporary korean society, to examine which chance of thinking is in this case given to the audience, and to examine whether through the plays in the theater this chance of thinking can be referred to public opinion. This study considers not only the contribution of Jang's thought experiment that is connected to the dramaturgical function including the aspects of dramatic form and content to dramatic effects for the audience, but also the possibility of an arrangement for a new way of thinking by the audience. Thus, Jang's thought experiment should be understood in connection with the whole message of his plays. And this study researches, how an new attention to the public nature of common world, which should be demanded for the sake of a mature civil society comes into existence within the point of contention in every play based on Jang's thought experiment. Finally this paper inspects through Jang's plays the possibility of contribution of performing art to contemporary korean society, and takes account of self-examination in meta-dimension of the theater regarding the role and meaning for the sake of human being and gemeinschaft.
