  • Recently, water leak is increasing due to poor compaction or segregation of concrete on external wall. In addition, the flatness quality of the slab is lowered due to the deterioration of the workability of concrete. In this study, the performance of high fluidity concrete of 21MPa using a polycarboxylate-based superplasticizer was evaluated to improve the compaction and quality of the concrete wall.

  • Carbon nanotubes has a positive effect on the mechanical properties, functionality, and durability of cement-based materials. In this study, carbon nanotube solutions mixed with two different types of superplasticizers were dispersed by high-pressure homogenizer, and used for preparation of cement paste. The 7and 28day compressive strength were evaluated.

  • For the development of high-fluidity concrete using low-binder, The effect of the use of the developed acrylic viscosity agent on the physical properties of concrete evaluated. The amount acrylic viscosity agent used was 1.5%, 1.7%, and 2.0% based on the binder amount of 400kg/m3, and slump flow test, slump flow 500mm arrival time measurement, air volume measurement, and U-Box passing test were conducted to determine the effect of the physical properties of concrete. it was judged that 1.5% of the acrylic viscosity agent used in high-fluidity concrete using low-binder was most suitable.

  • Cement paste is the basic material constituting concrete and the most basic data of workability. This study quantitatively evaluated the measured data using a ring flow and a rotary viscometer to estimate the flow of cement paste, and also evaluated the flow and rheology over time. For this, the current work has studied admixtures that affect the fluidity of cement paste. As a result of the experiment, since fluidity and plastic viscosity are inversely proportional to each other, more experimental studies are needed to obtain high fluidity and high viscosity at the same time.

  • Ti-salt agglomerated titanium dioxide photocatalyst from sludge, which has various and excellent functions such as nitrogen oxide removal performance, antifouling performance, and bacteria removal performance, is intended to be applied to UHPC. The UHPC used in this study is supposed to have a high compressive strength of 100~200MPa and a high flowability of 600mm or more with a slump flow. Titanium dioxide is fixed to the UHPC surface by sieving through a test sieve and compaction and painting using a vibration compactor, and this is tested according to ISO 22197-1. The NO removal amount is evaluated by classification the result range.

  • Currently, the domestic construction industry is trying to expand the range of building materials due to overload of growth. In particular, several studies are being conducted to make up for the weakness of building materials by solving problems such as reduction of tensile strength and brittle behavior of concrete. Among them, efforts to maximize the use of carbon nanotubes (CNT) that has excellent mechanical and electrical conductivity properties are continuing. However, CNT is hydrophobic and have a strong Van der Waals force between particles, making it difficult to obtain an effective dispersion state. Therefore, in this study, various kinds of surfactants like DOC (Sodium Deoxycholate), PVP (Polyvinylpyrrolidone), and PCE (Polycarboxylate ester) were added to improve the dispersibility of CNT, and analyzed the changes in the properties of the cement paste mixed with them.

  • In the design and maintenance of buildings, identifying the degree of damage in the event of a fire is an important factor in fire prevention and fire safety design. In order to predict fire damage, safety measures should be established by predicting the nature of evacuation according to fire, smoke and in-house characteristics, and the effects of the operation of fire safety facilities should also be considered, but in Korea, the risk analysis due to the operation of fire safety facilities is insufficient. Accordingly, this study uses fire statistics and sprinkler inspection data to analyze the degree of fire damage caused by the operation of sprinkler facilities in a probabilistic manner.

  • In 2017, 100 aftershocks with a magnitude of 2.0~3.0 and 615 minor earthquakes in Pohang in Korea caused the collapse and destruction of aggregate, tile, glass, and other structural components of multi-family houses constructed as finishing materials for buildings, causing damage to vehicles and casualties. Based on this factor, seismic design standards were established for non-structural elements of buildings that were applied only to past structures. Therefore, this study reinterpreted various vibration response spectra transmitted to waterproof layers as well as the definition and concept of the waterproof layer demand response spectrum derived by developing various vibration response test evaluation devices through a new testing apparatus.

  • Carbon nanotubes were used to secure high strength, high durability, and fracture toughness of cementitous composites.In this study, carbon nanotube dispersion solutions were prepared using commercial superplasticizers, such as polycarboxylate-ester and sodium naphthalene sulfonate with tip sonication. The solutions were used to prepare cement paste with MWCNT and The mechanical properties of the cement paste composite with MWCNT solutions were evaluated.
