SoC Design of Speaker Connection System by Efficient Cosimulation (효율적인 통합시뮬레이션에 의한 스피커 연결 시스템의 SoC 설계)

  • This, paper proposes a cosimulation methodology that results in an efficient SoC design as well as fast verification by integrating HDL, SystemC, and algorithm-level abstraction using the design tools Active-HDL and Matlab's Simulink. To demonstrate the proposed design methodology, we implemented the design technique on a serial connection multi-channel speaker system. We have demonstrated the proposed cosimulation method utilizing an ARM processor based SoC Master board with the AMBA bus interface and a Xilinx Vertex4 FPGA. The proposed method has the advantage of simultaneous simulation verification of both software and hardware parts in high levels of abstraction mixed with some performance critical parts in more concrete RTL codes. This allows relatively fast and easy design of a speaker connection system which typically requires significant amount of data processing for verification.

  • Since conventional massive antenna systems require too many RF chains, they have disadvantages of high implementation cost and complexity. To overcome this problem, hybrid precoding schemes have been proposed. But, they are still of high implementation cost and complexity because RF chains are connected to all antenna elements. In this paper, we consider massive MIMO systems with overlapped sub-array (OSA) structure and then, propose a hybrid precoding scheme. In the overlapped subarray structure, RF analog precoding matrix has a sparse structure where many elements of RF analog precoding matrix are zeros. Using this sparse property, we propose a GTP-based precoder design method for RF and baseband digital precoding. Through simulation, we show that the proposed scheme has more than 85% of the spectral efficiency of the fully-connected structure while having 20~30% of complexity of it.

Evaluation of Structural Behavior of Large Studs Using Partial Composite Beams (부분합성보를 이용한 대직경 스터드의 구조거동 평가)

  • Large studs were suggested not only for the design of steel-concrete composite bridges with simplified sections but also for the shear connection in precast decks requiring uniform distribution of shear pockets. Based on the push-out test results on studs with diameters of more than 25 mm, partial composite beams with 40%-degree shear connection were fabricated, and static tests were performed. The ultimate strength and horizontal shear load redistribution of partial composite beams, which have parameters of stud shank diameters and distribution, were evaluated, and group failure in the shear span was observed. Since the flexural strength of composite beams are dependent on the strength of their shear connection, the strength of the stud connection was estimated and it showed considerably higher shear strength. From the load-slip curves, the sufficient ductility and load redistribution of large studs were confirmed. Uniformly distributed large studs can provide proper ultimate behavior of composite beams.

Stability and P-Δ Analysis of Generalized Frames with Movable Semi-Rigid Joints (일반화된 부분강절을 갖는 뼈대구조물의 안정성 및 P-Δ 해석)

  • For stability design and P-${\Delta}$ analysis of steel frames with semi-rigid connections, the explicit form of the exact tangential stiffness matrix of a generalized semi-rigid frame element having rotational and translational connections is firstly derived using the stability functions. And its elastic and geometric stiffness matrix is consistently obtained by Taylor series expansion. Next depending on connection types of semi-rigidity, the corresponding tangential stiffness matrices are degenerated based on penalty method and static condensation technique. And then numerical procedures for determination of effective buckling lengths of generalized semi-rigid frames members and P-${\Delta}$ and shortly addressed. Finally three numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the validity and accuracy of the proposed method. Particularly the minimum braced frames and coupled buckling modes of the corresponding frames are investigated.

The Influence of Uniform Connectedness in Perceiving Briefly Presented Forms (균질 연결성이 순간 노출된 형태의 지각에 미치는 영향)

  • Palmer and Rock (1994) proposed that a connected region of uniform visual properties (uniform connectedness) strongly tends to be organized as a single perceptual unit To test this hypothesis using briefly presented forms three experiments were executed. In Experiment 1 and 2 participants were asked to report the identity of a post-cued target. and there was no difference between connected and disconnected displays. In Experiment 3 participants were asked to report the predesignated name of each whole display and the accuracy rate was higher in the connected displays than in the disconnected ones. However negative repetition effects were observed consistently in all the experiments. This indicates uniform connectedness does not have a strong effect in perceiving briefly presented forms.

  • In this paper we verified that the window based TCP performance of throughput can be improved by the traffic connection efficiency. and have studied the performance of traffic congestion control that is controlling transmission rate. In wireless network, the bidirectional node is run by estimating the usage rate of link of error control idle and the throughput is shown by transmitting segments. The throughput rate shows almost no delay due to the bidirectional traffic connection efficiency up to the allowable point as increasing the transport rate by the critical value, depending on the size of end-to-end node queue of the increase of transport rate. This paper reports the performance improvement as the number of feedback connection traffic congestion control increases because of the increase of the number of asynchronous transport TCP connections.

  • 다중코어(Many-Core) 시스템은 많은 코어들이 상호연결망을 통해서 연결되어있는 시스템으로, 단일코어나 멀티코어 시스템에 비해 보다 많은 병렬 컴퓨팅 자원을 지원한다. Amdahl 의 법칙에 의하면 병렬화되어 처리하는 부분은 이론적으로 프로세서의 개수에 비례하게 가속화 될 수 있지만, 상호연결망에서의 전송 지연을 비롯한 많은 요인에 의해서 성능의 가속화가 저해된다. 특히 캐시 일관성 규약(Cache Coherence Protocol)을 지원하는 대부분의 다중코어 시스템에서는 병렬화를 함에 있어서 캐시 미스로 인해 발생하는 데이터의 전송 지연이 성능에 많은 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 따라서 효과적인 병렬 프로그램을 위해서는 캐시 구조에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 상호연결망에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 메쉬(Mesh) 구조의 64 코어 다중코어 시스템인 TilePro64 를 이용하여 상호연결망의 데이터 전송 지연에 따른 프로그램 성능의 민감도를 측정하였다. 결과적으로 코어간 거리(Hop)가 늘어날수록 작업의 수행시간이 평균적으로 4.27%씩 선형적으로 증가하는 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 태양광 발전 시스템에서의 최대 전력점 추적(MPPT, Maximum Power Point Tracking)제어를 실험을 하기 위해 부분선형 다이오드 모델을 이용한 태블로 해석을 통해 태양광 발전 시스템의 태양전지 모듈의 특성을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 태양전지 모듈의 V-I 특성과 태양전지 패널을 직렬-병렬 어레이로 연결 시, 부분 그늘 문제(Partial Shading Problem)의 지역 최대 점(global peak)을 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다.

  • 가야금과 바이올린의 소리 발생 특성을 이해하기 위하여 모드해석을 수행하였다. 바이올린과 가야금은 크게 현과 몸체 그리고 이 둘을 연결하는 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 소리는 이들의 유기적인 관계로부터 발생된다. 실험을 통해 살펴본 결과, 저주파 대역에서 바이올린의 진동은 크게 앞, 뒷판의 진동, 몸체와 목 부분 사이의 비틀림 진동, 바이올린 전체가 하나의 보처럼 진동하는 현상으로 나누어 볼 수 있었다. 가야금 상판의 진동 형상은 약간 휘어진 형태를 가지며, 전체적으로 평판의 진동과 같은 모습을 보였다.
