  • 본 연구에서는 부도예측용 인공신경망의 입력노드 선정을 위한 휴리스틱으로 연결강도분석 접근법을 제안한다. 연결강도분석은 학습이 끝난 인공신경망에서 입력노드와 은닉노드와 연결된 가중치의 절대값 즉, 연결강도를 분석하여 입력변수를 선정하는 접근법으로, 본 연구에서는 약체연결뉴론제거법, 강체연결뉴론선택법 그리고 이 두 기법을 통합한 통합 연결강도 모형을 제안하여 각각 의사결정 트리 및 다변량판별분석에 의해 선정된 입력변수를 이용한 인공신경망 모형과 예측율을 비교한다. 실험 결과 본 연구에서 제안하고 있는 방법론이 의사결정트리나 다다변량판별분석 기법 보다 높은 예측율을 보여 주었다. 특히 두 기법의 통합연결강도 모형의 경우에는 다른 단일 기법보다 높은 예측율을 보이고 있다.

A Study on Assessment of Merging Volume at Freeway Merging Area (고속도로 합류부의 합류교통량 평가에 관한 연구)

  • 합류구간은 다양한 교통특성을 분석하는데 어려움으로 인하여 그 동안 체계적인 연구가 거의 수행되지 않았다. 본 연구는 고속도로 합류부의 교통특성 측면에서 연결로 교 통량의 영향을 분석하고 평가하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 선형회귀 모형식이 연결로 교통량의 영향을 평가하기 위하여 개발되었고 기존의 모형식들과 비교되었다. 이러한 모형식은 본선 교통량과 연결로 교통량과의 상호 관계로 규명하는데 사용되었고 합류교통량에 대하여 연결 로 교통량이 본선교통량보다 더 많은 영향을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 교통와해 시점의 교통량 자료를 추정하기 위해 사용한 교통량 누적 감산법(the Background Flow Count Reduction Method)은 직접적으로 자료를 수집하기 어려운 지점의 자료를 추정하는 데 있어 유용한 방법임을 알 수 있었다. 향후에는 연결로 교통량의 영향을 고려한 합류부 운영방안이 필요하고 이를 통한 효율적인 합류부 운영이 이루어질 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 휴대폰 SMS를 이용한 블루투스 기기의 연결 설정 절차 개선방안을 제안한다. 블루투스 기기 사용을 위해서는 기기간 연결 설정 절차가 필요하고, 연결 설정을 위해 필요로 하는 기기 탐색 시간과 연결 설정 절차의 복잡성으로 인해 블루투스 기기의 시장확산이 저해되고 있는 상황인 바, 이에 대한 개선 방안이 절실한 상황이다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 블루투스 기기의 연결 절차 개선을 위해 별도의 연결 설정 정보를 제공하는 방안을 제안한다. 연결 설정 정보는 휴대폰 SMS를 통하여 수신되며, 휴대폰에서는 수신한 파일 정보를 Bluetooth HOST 단에 전달하고, Bluetooth HOST에서는 이를 이용하여 사용자에게 간단한 원 터치 기능을 통해 블루투스 기기의 연결 설정 및 사용이 가능하도록 한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a new interconnection network topology, hierarchical folded hyper-star network HFH($C_n,\;C_n$), which is based on folded hyper-star network. Our results show that the proposed hierarchical folded hyper-star network performs very competitively in comparison to folded hyper-star network and hierarchical network HCN(m,m), HFN(m,m) have been previously proposed, when diameter ${\times}$ degree is used as a network cost measure. We also investigate various topological properties of HFH($C_n,\;C_n$) including connectivity, routing algorithm, diameter, broadcasting.

Types of Misconceptions and their Consistencies of the Elementary School Teachers about the Characteristics of Currents according to the Connection Methods of Batteries in Simple Electric Circuits (전지의 연결방법에 따른 전류의 특성에 대한 초등교사들의 오개념 유형과 그 일관성)

  • The types of misconceptions and their consistencies of the elementary school teachers about the characteristics of currents according to the connection methods of batteries in simple electric circuits were investigated. The misconceptions of the elementary school teachers about them could be divided into three types. Among the respondents of the 96 elementary school teachers for this study, the 2 elementary school teachers consistently understood the characteristics of currents on the basis of the misconception type of focusing only the number of batteries connected regardless of the connection methods of batteries, the 8 elementary school teachers did on the basis of the misconception type of confusing the series connection and the parallel connection of batteries, and the 4 elementary school teachers did on the basis of the misconception type of confusing the series and parallel connection of batteries with those of resistors. Also, they consistently applied these misconception types to not only the situations to use the learned concepts but the situations to use the differentiated concepts about the connection methods of batteries.

Resistance Increasing Factor of Connected-pile Foundation for Transmission Tower in Clay (점토지반에 근입된 송전철탑 연결형 말뚝기초의 저항력증가계수)

  • Pile foundation for transmission tower constructed in weak ground can cause the damage of the tower due to the different settlement between the foundations. In Japan and USA, connected-pile foundations whose 4 foundations are connected each other by beams were used for transmission tower (TEPCO 1988, IEEE 2001). Resistance increasing factors for connected-pile foundation signify increasing amount of resistance due to the effect of connected-pile material. In this study, we performed model lateral load tests of connected-pile foundations for transmission tower and found the resistance increasing factors for connected-pile foundation. The tests were performed in silty clay, and the resistance increasing factors were founded in various conditions that lateral load directions and height, the stiffness of beams in the connected-pile foundations were changed. The resistance increasing factors from our research were presented as a function of normal lateral loading height and normal stiffness of the connected-pile material. The resistances which were estimated from the resistance increasing factors were similar to measured values.

Effects of abutment angulation and type of connection on the fracture strength of zirconia abutments (지대주 각도와 연결방식이 지르코니아 지대주의 파절강도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the fracture strength of straight and angled zirconia abutments for internal hex and external hex implants. Materials and methods: Twenty internal hex implants and 20 external hex implants were prepared. The prefabricated straight zirconia abutments and 17-degree-angled zirconia abutments were connected to those 40 implants. The specimens were classified into 4 groups depending on the connection type and abutment angulation; internal hex implant/straight abutment, group INS; internal hex implant/angled abutment, group INA; external hex implant/straight abutment, group EXS; external hex implant/angled abutment, group EXA. All specimens were loaded at a 30-degree angle with a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min using universal testing machine. The fracture loads were analyzed using 2-way ANOVA and independent t-test (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: The mean fracture load for INS was 955.91 N, 933.65 N for INA, 1267.20 N for EXS, and 1405.93 N for EXA. External hex implant showed a significantly higher fracture load, as compared to internal hex implant (P < .001). No significant differences in fracture loads were observed between the straight and angled abutment in internal hex implants (P = .747) and external hex implants (P = .222). Internal hexes of abutments were fractured horizontally in internal connection implants, while lingual cervical neck portions were fractured in external connection implants. Conclusion: The zirconia abutments with external hex implants showed significantly higher fracture strength than those with internal hex implants. However there was no difference in fracture strength between the straight and 17-degree-angled zirconia abutment connected to both implant systems.

A Survey of Elementary School Teachers' Perceptions of the Implementation of Mathematical Connections (수학적 연결성 구현에 대한 초등 교사들의 인식과 실태 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate elementary school teachers' perceptions of the implementation of mathematical connections. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with teachers in a random sample across the country, and questionnaires completed by 567 teachers from 28 elementary schools were analyzed. The results of this study showed that teachers recognized intellectual connections more than social connections as mathematical connections need to be done in class. They recognized that connections between mathematical concepts and real-life in intellectual connections were realized more frequently in mathematics classes. In the methods of mathematical connections, the use of reasoning and reflection of students' activity results did not occur frequently. For resources many teachers wanted practice giving real lessons. On the basis of these results, this paper provides several implications for future research on implementing mathematical connections.

Experimental Study for Performance Evaluation of Structural Details of Girder-Abutment Joint in Integral Abutment Steel Bridge (일체식교대 강교량의 거더-교대 연결부 상세의 거동평가를 위한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, the structural details of steel girder-abutment joints with shear connectors and tie bars were suggested to improve the rigid behavior and crack-resisting capacity of the joints in integral bridges. Experimental loading tests of steel girder-abutment joint specimens with the proposed and empirically constructed structural details were carried out, and the capacities and behavioral characteristics of the joints were evaluated through loading tests. Based on the results of the loading tests, it was estimated that all types of tested joints can be applied to the steel girder-abutment joints because they have sufficient stiffness and crack-resisting capacity under the required design and yield loads. According to the initial stiffness, crack propagations, and load-strain relationships, however, the joints with shear connectors and tie bars showed better structural behaviors compared to the empirically constructed joint.
