Biomechanical Analysis and Evaluation Technology Using Human Multi-Body Dynamic Model (인체 다물체 동역학 모델을 이용한 생체역학 분석 및 평가 기술)

  • This paper presents the biomechanical analysis and evaluation technology of musculoskeletal system by multi-body human dynamic model and 3-D motion capture data. First, medical image based geometric model and material properties of tissue were used to develop the human dynamic model and 3-D motion capture data based motion analysis techniques were develop to quantify the in-vivo joint kinematics, joint moment, joint force, and muscle force. Walking and push-up motion was investigated using the developed model. The present model and technologies would be useful to apply the biomechanical analysis and evaluation of human activities.

  • Of the various means for active trajectory correction, a thrust vector control system represents the only principle independent of missile external forces so that this method is operative. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristic of jet vane TVC(Thrust vector control) system among mechanical jet deflection. To ensure high performance leading edge shape, aspect ratio and ablated condition is optimized. Supersonic flow system, jet vanes and nozzle with Mach number 2.88 and under expansion ratio 2 were designed to study aerodynamic characteristics of leading edge shape, aspect ratio and ablated conditions.

  • We have experienced a substantial improvement in and cost-drop for genotyping that enables genetic epidemiological studies with large-scale genetic data. Genome-wide association studies have identified more than ten thousand causal variants. Many statistical methods based on linear mixed models have been developed for various goals such as estimating heritability and identifying disease susceptibility locus. Empirical results also repeatedly stress the importance of linear mixed models. Therefore, we review the statistical methods related with to linear mixed models and illustrate the meaning of their estimates.

  • In this paper, a mechanical analysis model for steep-slope log-skidding operations of a rubber-tired tractor is discussed and the applicability of the model is investigated. The model largely consists of mathematical analysis models for log drag, dynamic vehicle weight distributions and soil-vehicle traction. For the case study, a theoretical data set for log skidding operations is used in investigating the effect of the factors influencing the results of mechanical analysis or the productivity of skidding operations. The analyses include 1) the effect of log choking methods on tangential log-skidding force, 2) the effects of the change in travel speed and log load on the required input power to the wheels and 3) the log skidding performance of a two-wheel drive compared with that of a four-wheel drive.

  • 원자력발전소 1차계통 주요기기와 2차계통 주요기기들에 대한 가동 중 검사시 발견된 결함은 ASME Sec. XI, IWB와 IWC에 근거하여 허용여부를 결정한다. 이때, 결함 크기가 허용기준을 초과하는 경우에는, 기기의 안전성 확보를 위해 ASME Sec. XI에 규정된 절차에 따라 파괴역학분석(Fracture Mechanics Analysis: FMA)을 수행하고, 그 결과에 따라 운전중지 후 보수 또는 계속운전의 판단을 한다. 따라서, 원자력발전소 주요기기에 대한 FMA기술은 안전성평가의 핵심이 되는 부분이다. 원자력발전소의 안전성평가에는 결함의 형상 정보, 환경 정보, 재료 물성치, 응력 데이터 등 방대한 양의 데이터가 필요할 뿐 아니라 파괴역학적 분석절차도 매우 복잡하여 전문가도 많은 시간과 노력이 요구된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 일부 평가절차를 컴퓨터 프로그램화하여 효율적인 안전성평가가 이루어지도록 노력하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 파괴역학적 분석에 필요한 응력 데이터를 관리하는 응력 데이터베이스를 구축하고, 응력확대계수계산 프로그램(KEVA)과 결함허용여부를 결정하는 프로그램(Acceptance Standard)과 결함성장률 계산 프로그램(FLEVA)을 Web 기반으로 개발하고 구현결과를 소개한다.

동맥의 생체공학적 특성

  • 동맥에 대한 기계 역학적인 연구역사는 30년에 이르고 있다. 그 연구 성과로 말미암아 동맥의 물성 파악, 동맥의 인조화, 동맥의 의학적인 시술에 대한 공학적인 평가 분석 및 제안, 동맥의 생리학적인 현상에 대한 이해 보강, 병리 현상의 공학적인 분석 및 예고, 공학적인 현상과 조직학적인 현상에 대한 연관성 파악 및 응용등, 많은 공헌을 하고 있다. 동맥에 대한 공학적인 연구학문을 동맥역학(Arterial Mechanics)이라 한다. 동맥역학의 궁극적 분석겨로가는 동맥에 대한 물성과 혈압으로 인한 변형율과 응력에 관한 것이다. 동맥의 물성 파악은 혈류와 Mass Transport의 효과로 인한 동맥의 질병양태에 대한 해석을 돕고 있다. 또한 동맥의 병리현상과 생리현상을 이해하는 데에 변형율과 응력 분포도가 중요한 요소로 역할을 하고 있다. 동맥의 연구 방법론적 고찰의 내용은 실험이나 데이터 분석방법이 비슷하기 때문에 동맥 외의 인체의 soft tissue(피부, 심장, 근육, 눈등)에 대한 연구고찰이라고도 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 현재까지 진행된 주요한 연구를 고찰하고 동맥 역학에 대한 관심과 인식을 고취시키는 데에 그 목적이 있다.

Analysis of aerodynamic characteristics for the selection of cross-section to the TBM railway tunnels (TBM 철도터널 단면선정을 위한 공기역학적 특성 분석)

  • Although the TBM method is mainly adopted in overseas market including the Europe, etc, the method scarcely adopted in domestic market. For highly enhancing applications of the TBM method for railway, It is needed to select the optimal cross-section considering design elements of civil engineering and aerodynamic effects. Also, it is needed to establish plan of proper section as well as reviewing aerodynamic effects and consideration about civil engineering elements such as length of tunnel, speed of railway, height of whole lines and size of utility tunnel, etc. Even though it should be recently considered high-speed railway tunnels and required to be standard establishments in aerodynamic reviews, it is being applied to be criteria of inconsistent pneumatic analysis owing to be not related with domestic standards. In this study, therefore, we are willing to establishment of domestic and foreign aerodynamic standards and investigate correlation between optimal cross-section and aerodynamic effects of TBM railway tunnels.

A Study on Analyzing the Live Skyline Cable Logging Mechanics (유동식 가선집재시스템 Live Skyline의 역학분석에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the characteristics of cable logging systems, of which skyline length is adjustable during operation are discussed from a standpoint of system geometry. Among the cable logging systems, the live skyline is the typical one, of which operation is easy to understand. To analyze the cable logging mechanics of the live skyline, computer models were developed. In developing the computer models, the concept of the live skyline operation was classified into 'true live skyline' and 'live skyline with lift'. The former assumes to adjust skyline length continuously to maintain the skyline clearance over ground constant during inhaul ; the latter assumes to shorten the skyline length only to keep the minimum skyline clearance during inhaul. The computer model was used in investigating the mechanical efficiency and the operational characteristics of the live skyline system. First, the payload capability of live skyline was compared with that of standing skyline. Second, the effect of the change in the log-drag geometry on the payload capability of live skyline was investigated. Finally, the payload capability of live skyline with lift was compared with that of true live skyline as an effort to explain the concepts of true live skyline and live skyline with lift.
