Korea boasts of abundant historical earthquake records of almost 1900 events. The epicenters and intensities of these earthquakes are determined on the basis of descriptions and felt areas of the events. It turns out that most of the earthquakes occurred on major faults or tectonic boundaries of the peninsula except for the northeastern part which had been the least disrupted by tectonic disturbances during the Mesozoic. It appears that the crustal layers of the southern and northwestern parts of the peninsula had been severely ruptured during the Mesozoic disturbances and some of the faults thus generated have been active since. The seismicity of the peninsula had been rather low from the first to the fourteenth century, but unusually high from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century, and have been rather low since. This period of unusually high seismicity of the peninsula coincides with that of the northeastern part of China, suggesting the two areas are seismologically closely connected. It appears that most of the seismicity of the peninsula results from the high stress propagating from the Himalayas where the Eurasian and Indian plates collide. The data file of Korean historical earthquakes is not yet complete and supplementary studies are under way. The main purpose of this paper is to provide the data file of Korean historical earthquakes analyzed up to date for geoscientists and engineers in need of this file.

근년의 북방외교 이후 눈에 띄게 동해 경게권이 대두되면서 급기야는 두만강 지역에 UN시를 건설하여 그 지역을 개발하자고 하는 매우 고무적인 계획까지 나오고 있다. 하지만 이런 일련의 변화 속에서 우리가 너무나 역사의식을 결여하고 있지 않나 하는 생각이 든다. 따라서 본고에서는 정부의 공식입장에 나타나지 않는 또 다른 부분에 대한 의견을 개진하고자 한다.

Recently, due to a decline in traditional industrial function and recession of the real estate business, urban coastal settlement areas have been promoted in a regeneration way using historical cultural values rather than overall development approach. This study investigated the regional assets of water-front area around Yeongdodaegyo Bridge in Yeongdo-gu, Busan and classified them into physical social economic assets and then, presented the integrated regeneration approach that can increase the place value of this area. First, physical regeneration proposed a regional revitalization plan by considering place and cultural characteristics and second, social regeneration by considering the regional brand through storytelling and third, economic regeneration by considering historical cultural characteristics. Regional assets-based culture experience can be provided by building cultural tourism infrastructure through this and local economy and local community activation can be expected by providing urban vitality base of coastal settlement areas.

In this study, we will investigate Nujung culutre of Seobuk-jung in Hamra, which is representative Nujung in the modern period Iksan region, and examine how to use it as local contents. Hamra, where Seobyeog-jeong is located, was an economic center in the Joseon Dynasty. Under the historical and economic background, Seobyeong-jeong was erected by Lee, Chip-chon in 1926. The study of Seobyeong-jeong and Nujung culture erected by the Landloard family of Honam in modern times can be used as an important data for understanding the Nujung culture of modern Iksan Proviance.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the visitors' satisfaction with the Daegaya History Experience Festival and to provide practical implications to festival planners. Some important results of this study were as following. First, educational effectiveness had the highest satisfaction among visitors. Second, picking strawberries was founded as the most favored family oriented experience and experiencing the Daegaya vessel was perceived as the next layered program. Third, This festival provided pay experiences to the visitors including drawing bronze age rocks on the visitors' faces and Daegaya vessel making. Fourth, this festival achieved specializing of volunteers and increased satisfaction of guides. For future study, it is necessary to do empirical studies including investigating the determinant factors of festival visitors' satisfaction and behavioral intentions.

This study discusses various conflict situations and unexpressed pathological potential in historical regions. In this regard, the issue of alienation of local people due to local identity was raised and the cause was investigated. It explains the structural origins of local alienation that occurred in the process of objectifying a region and forming its identity. The process of alienation of local residents of local identity identified in this paper was divided and explained in three stages: objectification of the region, symbolization of local identity, and religious materialism of local identity. In addition, in the process, the incorporation of the production mode of intellectual work, the separation of producers, and the loss of the subject-centered control ability over these products were pointed out as problematic situations. The study suggests to change the perception of the region and to restore the control of the local people through narrative in relation to this problematic situation. Thus, this thesis asserts that we need to have doubts about the justification for the public good and the basis of the resulting consensus, and that we should be constantly interested in the pathological signs of society around us.

마산지역은 항구도시로 교통과 교역이 흥성한 경남의 대표도시이다. 뿐만 아니라 도농복합도시로 예부터 양돈이 흥해 양돈을 시작한 지 대부분 20~30년 이상이 된 경남지역 양돈산업의 터주대감 중에 하나이다. 지난 7월19일에는 '창립32주년'을 기념하여 전 회원이 참석한 가운데 기념행사를 개최하기도 했다. 마산지부는 오래된 역사만큼이나 양돈 생산성 향상과 개선을 위해 최선의 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이를 위해 마산지부 회원들은 해양매출 저감에 노력하는 한편, 가축분뇨 자원화를 통한 분뇨처리 시스템 구축과 지역 대표 돼지고기 브랜드 사업을 적극 추진하여 지역 양돈산업의 재도약을 위해 매진하고 있었다.

인류는 수렵시대를 거쳐 기르고 가꾸는 법을 터득하면서 농경시대를 열게 된다. 이 과정에서 인류는 특정한 지역에서만 잘 자라는 작물이 있음을 알게 되고 이들 작물은 그 지역 인류에게 먹이로서 중요한 역할을 하여왔다. 이러한 인류의 먹이에 대한 취사선택 과정에서 식문화라고 하는 독특한 문화의 갈래가 나타나게 되었다. 주식의 생산과 이용에 따라 보면 동남아 지역은 쌀, 북미, 호주와 옛 소련지역은 감자, 밀, 고기, 멕시코와 아프리카 동부는 잡곡, 남미와 아프리카 중부는 서류와 과실, 지중해 연안은 밀과 채소를 중심으로 하는 식문화를 이루고 있다.(중략)
