A Grid Database Update Strategy Suitable for Internet Architecture (인터넷 구조에 적합한 그리드 데이터베이스 갱신 정책)

  • 그리드 데이터베이스는 여러 사이트에 데이터베이스의 복사본을 두어 네트워크 전송 지연을 감소시킨다. 그러나 데이터베이스가 갱신될 때마다 모든 복사본들이 갱신되어야 하기 때문에 이로 인해 발생되는 네트워크 대역폭 소모와 시스템 부하 또한 무시할 수 없는 수준이다. 본 논문에서는 그리드에 사용되는 광대역 네트워크인 인터넷의 구조에 적합한 새로운 데이터베이스 갱신 정책을 제안한다. 본 정책은 인터넷의 구성요소인 AS(Autonomous System)와 ISP(Internet Service Provider)의 계층성과 네트워크의 속도 차를 고려하여 네트워크의 병목구간을 최대한 회피하고, 시스템 부하와 네트워크 부하의 균형을 조절함으로써 그리드 데이터베이스의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • In this paper we analyse radiation measurement method for UWB wireless system of the wideband low power frequency characteristics. In the radiation measurement environment we discuss RMS electric field strength, UWB PSD, UWB detect signal level, UWB noise signal collection etc.. also, we discuss power measure method of the CISPR16-1, low level e.i.r.p radiation measurement method. lastly we analyse consideration problem for the signal analyser of the UWB system.

  • In this paper, a CLPDA (Crossed Log-Periodic Dipole Antenna) for EMI / EMC Measurement is presented, and is analyzed by Combining the moment method and the transmission line theory. The CLPDA has a broaddband characteristic. It is so important to achieve a impedance matching over op- erating frequency range that Twin-boom method is used at feed point. Here, the current distribution, input admittance, radiation pattern and gain are calculated. In practice CLPDA is fabricated. Calculated result for radiation pattern and gain are very closed to measured result.

  • The design of a compact folded patch antenna with moderately broad bandwidth is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna has radiation characteristics that are similar to the conventional monopole antenna. However, since this antenna is designed in a planar form, it has smaller size than that of a conventional monopole antenna. We have investigated the resonance frequency and bandwidth characteristics of the proposed antenna by changing the antenna design parameters. The proposed planar form of a monopole antenna in this paper has 1.17 GHz bandwidth with a matching circuit at the center frequency of 6.05 GHz.

  • Design of IPI feeding structure affecting the antenna gain improvement of mobile phone was investigated. IPI feeder which based on the T matching theory increase line current for internal antenna such as IFA. So IPI feeder makes higher radiation resistance, and also increases the gain with increasing radiation efficiency. To verify IPI feeding effect, feeder is applied to conventional CDMA/DCS dual band IFA. Measurement shows that IPI-IFA has 0.5 ~ 1.4[dBi] higher gain than conventional IFA at CDMA/DCS band. Resonant frequency did not change.

Evaluation of Sensitivity and Retrieval Possibility of Land Surface Temperature in the Mid-infrared Wavelength through Radiative Transfer Simulation (복사전달모의를 통한 중적외 파장역의 민감도 분석 및 지표면온도 산출 가능성 평가)

  • In this study, the sensitivity of the mid-infrared radiance to atmospheric and surface factors was analyzed using the radiative transfer model, MODerate resolution atmospheric TRANsmission (MODTRAN6)'s simulation data. The possibility of retrieving the land surface temperature (LST) using only the mid-infrared bands at night was evaluated. Based on the sensitivity results, the LST retrieval algorithm that reflects various factors for night was developed, and the level of the LST retrieval algorithm was evaluated using reference LST and observed LST. Sensitivity experiments were conducted on the atmospheric profiles, carbon dioxide, ozone, diurnal variation of LST, land surface emissivity (LSE), and satellite viewing zenith angle (VZA), which mainly affect satellite remote sensing. To evaluate the possibility of using split-window method, the mid-infrared wavelength was divided into two bands based on the transmissivity. Regardless of the band, the top of atmosphere (TOA) temperature is most affected by atmospheric profile, and is affected in order of LSE, diurnal variation of LST, and satellite VZA. In all experiments, band 1, which corresponds to the atmospheric window, has lower sensitivity, whereas band 2, which includes ozone and water vapor absorption, has higher sensitivity. The evaluation results for the LST retrieval algorithm using prescribed LST showed that the correlation coefficient (CC), the bias and the root mean squared error (RMSE) is 0.999, 0.023K and 0.437K, respectively. Also, the validation with 26 in-situ observation data in 2021 showed that the CC, bias and RMSE is 0.993, 1.875K and 2.079K, respectively. The results of this study suggest that the LST can be retrieved using different characteristics of the two bands of mid-infrared to the atmospheric and surface conditions at night. Therefore, it is necessary to retrieve the LST using satellite data equipped with sensors in the mid-infrared bands.

Design of beam steering dipole phased array antenna systems for IMT-2000 base station (IMT-2000 기지국용 빔 조향 다이폴 위상배열 안테나 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, the beam steering dipole phased array antenna systems for IMT-2000 base station have been designed. The designed beam steering dipole phased array antenna systems are constituted by the antenna part and the beam steering control system part. The antenna part is designed by the proposed flat dipole for the broadband characteristics, and the 8${\times}$8 dipole array antenna is constructed by the proposed flat dipole for the directional radiation pattern. Besides the vertical power divider is designed for the vertical power distribution. The beam steering control system part is designed the horizontal power divider for the horizontal power distribution, the 4-bit phase shifters and the driving circuit of phase shifters for the horizontal beam tilting. In order to evaluate a performance of the designed antenna systems, they were fabricated and the radiation characteristics were measured. From the measured results, we found that the horizontal beams were tilted by the each control signals, and the measured radiation characteristics showed good agreement with the design goals.

  • In this paper wideband dipole antenna that is usable as PCS/WCDMA/WiBro/WiMax public relay station antenna is proposed. The proposed antenna that designed by using double ring structure improves bandwidth performance of existing dipole antenna to wideband performance. To verify wideband performance and isotropic radiation pattern of the proposed antenna, simulation and fabrication have progressed its radiation characteristic has measured and then compared with calculated result. Measured result is similar to calculated result and has gain of 2dB VSWR of 2:1 over 1.75~3GHz. It is considered that the dipole antenna that designed in this paper can be usable as PCS/WCDMA/WiBro/WiMax public relay station antenna.

Study on Estimations of Initial Mass Fractions of CH4/O2 in Diffusion-Controlled Turbulent Combustion Using Inverse Analysis (확산지배 난류 연소현상에서 역해석을 이용한 CH4/O2의 초기 질량분율 추정에 관한 연구)

  • The major objective of the present study is to extend the applications of inverse analysis to more realistic engineering fields with a complex combustion process rather than the traditional simple heat-transfer problems. In order to do this, the unknown initial mass fractions of $CH_4/O_2$ are estimated from the temperature measurement data by inverse analysis in the practical diffusion-controlled turbulent combustion problem. In order to ensure efficient inverse analysis, the repulsive particle swarm optimization (RPSO) method, which belongs to the class of stochastic evolutionary global optimization methods, is implemented as an inverse solver. Based on this study, it is expected that useful information can be obtained when inverse analysis is used in the diagnosis, design, or optimization of real combustion systems involving unknown parameters.

주파수 저지대역의 특성을 가지는 UWB 안테나 개발

  • U-물류/유통, U-항만에 핵심적인 기술이 될 Ultra-Wide(UWB)통신을 위한 광대역 안테나를 설계, 개발하였다. 설계된 안테나는 UWB 주파수 대역인 3.1$^{\sim}$11.7GHz 대역에서 안테나 특성을 만족하고, IEEE 802-11a와HIPERLAN/2에 의해 사용이 제한된 5.15${\sim}$5.825GHz 대역에서 주파수 저지 대역을 가지기 위하여 U모양의 얇은 슬롯을 복사 패치 위에 구현 하였다. 제작한 안테나는 5${\sim}$595GHz 대역을 제외하고는 안테나의 특성을 만족한다.
