With the most popular and beloved Verdi's "La Traviata" as the subject in the year 2001, which is the 100th anniversary of his death, the present study discusses the arias by the main character "Violetta" and the characteristics, images, clothes and their symbolism expressed through and stage costumes of major performances shown in Korea and abroad. Furthermore, the purposes of the present study are to propose a new fashion brand image called "Violetta look" by incorporating this image into current fashion to join fashion and stage, and to actually design and producing these clothes. Therefore, stage costumes of characters shown in the limited space called stage were connected with the study of characters' images and applied into the current fashion as a brand image, and from the industrial aspect, a high value added fashion brand image was created.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data to assist students and industrial designers in fashion by examining the trend of designing women's wear with the SCAMPER method. In the research, the seven types of SCAMPER methods for fashion design were classified based on the previous studies. From 2010 S/S to 2020 S/S, data from 5,149 photographs were collected through overlapping checks and classified by SCAMPER method type. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0 for frequency analysis. As a result, in the SCAMPER "combine" method, more than two items were combined, or structural details were combined with items. In the most applied "adapt" method was involved imitating similar images, or natural forms, or other objects. The "modify" method was applied by changing the shape of some details in basic fashion items. The "magnify" method was applied by enlarging, elongating, or elevating some details of fashion items. The "minify" method was applied by minimizing, shortening, or lowering some details of basic fashion. The method of "put to other use" was expressed throughout the clothing by using non-fabric or trimmings such as metal, beads, and strings. The "rearrange" method was applied by repositioning the top and bottom, front and back, or outside and inside in fashion items and in details. The "reverse" method was applied by reversing the style of fashion, mix-and-match fabric, or switching the gender of the fashion items.

The education chance and job opportunity of women have increased in the 19th century. Also, women tried to get the right and chance equal to men in this period. Therefore, the population of women participating in the sports have increased. And comfortable and practical pantaloons which men have been wearing were suggested to women. This study investigated the characteristics and change of women's sports wear relating to social change in the 19th century. The results of this study were as follows: 1. According to the social change, women participated in the sports activities with the opportunity equal to men, and the appropriate women's sports wear was needed. 2. Pantaloons which were suggested as the clothing reform movement became popular with the development of sports wear. 3. Simple, effective, comfortable and easy style sports wear was preferred. 4. Women accepted men's sports wear positively. 5. The women's sports wear varied according to the various kinds of sports. 6. The healthful design was preferred and harmful design was excluded. 7. Underwear was improved functionally and simplified. 8. The main materials were flannel, wool, tweed, homespun and serge, and the mail colors were brown, dark blue, gray and black.

This study is aimed at the ready-mades size system and satisfaction of consumers size for woman's wear at domestic market which are made by public production systems. This study, particularly, is focused on jacket of 20-30 aged woman's wear in twenties & thirties female clothe. The procedures of this study are as follows; 1. Select 25 domestic clothing companies that its product has targeted in twenties & thirties female and investigate the system of each pattern size 2. Select 259 female in twenties & thirties randomly in Seoul survey a standad of females jacket purchase. Analysis of this study is based on SPSS statistics program, technical statistics, $X^2$ and ANOVA verification. The results of studying are as follows; 1. The survey of pattern size of the domestic females clothing companies has shown some distinctive feature at age and body type of their consumers. 2. Crucial point of female consumers in twenties & thirties is a design and fitness of their jacket while they are purchasing their jacket. 3. Female consumers have some dissatisfaction for the variety of size, difficulty of purchasing and size of bust, shoulder & length of arms of their jacket.

Setting the ease amount takes the important part to the fit that consumers satisfies. Therefore, it is required to create a pattern for off-the-rack jackets that considers the proper amount of ease. However, few studies have been done previously regarding the ease amount of jacket pattern for the women in their 20s whose demand for jacket is high and who are sensitive to the fit. Therefore, this study selected top five brands in terms of sales and preference among the national female apparel brands. It obtained a tailored jacket pattern for basic size (55 size) and made the jacket. Then, an expert panel group put the pattern on Hani body, a torso dummy for education made by the anthropometric data of Size Korea for females in their 20s and conducted an evaluation on the ease amount and analyzed the results. As a result, the ease amount of the Pattern A was evaluated as proper and that of the Pattern B was found to be lease proper. From the fact, we can see that each of the top 5 off-the-rack brands has different ease amount, though they are of the same basic size (55 size).

This study will focus on research and analysis covering the period of time since the creation of the People's Republic of China to current day China, with an emphasis on 20-something year-old women living in Shanghai. In conducting this research, historical evidence of fashion was derived from books, photographs, and Internet resources pertaining to the specific periods of interest. Furthermore, each set of data has been organized in approximately decade-long segments that best reflect the transformation of Chinese fashion from 1949 to 2000. As a result of the countrywide emphasis placed on revitalization of the newly created Chinese state during the period of 1949 to 1965, detail to fashion was largely ignored, in preference to the successful upstart of a working economic foundation. This neglect of fashion is evident by the scarcity of new and daring styles during this period. The following the period of 1966 to 1977 ushered in a cultural revolution that was aptly demonstrated in the changing fashion tastes. When compared with the previous period, the blandness of clothing, authorized by the Chinese government clearly reflected the rules and regulations strictly enforced by a government mandate of conformity and obedience. These orthodox changes were so drastic, that women wearing these clothes could hardly be differentiated from men in the same style wear. After Mao Ze Dong's death in 1976 and the end of the sternest period of the Chinese Revolution, a new era of Chinese culture and fashion was made possible by a more lax and tolerant government. During the later palt of the seventies through the eighties, this new governmental policy fostered more openness and self-expression, both of which led to a newfound interest in expressing one's desires and personality through the clothes he or she chose to wear.
In current society, products and services are positioned to match customers' lifestyles and emotions. One example of such can be collaboration strategies. Various types of collaboration can be found and should be applied to academic research in terms of fashion designing as well as in marketing. As a result, this research focuses on defining collaboration and identifying its different forms. Case studies are provided for each form of collaboration. A set of emotional factors required for collaboration and a domestic fashion brand is selected in order to carry out analysis and design production. As a result of this study, the following conclusions were reached. First, collaboration can be defined as two or more companies, brands or even individuals working together for an agreed period of time by sharing core competencies and advantages in order to pursuit profit and value creation. Second, collaboration types can be specified into two categories which are collaboration between companies within the fashion industry and collaborations with companies outside the fashion industry. In addition, companies may collaborate with the purpose of enhancing value, broadening its areas of business and to execute an event. Third, according to the case studies examined, effects of collaboration can be upgrade of brand images, variety of promotional benefits and increase in sales. Fourth, the selections of collaboration targets were made. MOGG and Sex&the City were chosen in order to apply collaboration strategies in line with promoting the domestic womens' wear market. Fifth, by considering and applying all the findings from the research, the limited edition line was produced under the design concept of 'Sex and the City with MOGG'.

Convergence, a universal phenomenon in modern society, takes place in various ways throughout society, and the concept of convergence can also be observed in fashion shows. The concept of convergence is actively emerging in terms of fashion show directing. The purpose of this study is to suggest the development of fashion show directing by analyzing the convergence characteristics of fashion show directing through a Louis Vuitton fashion show, and to provide data on convergence in fashion shows. The object of the study is the women's Paris Pret-a-porter and women's cruise collection presented at the Louis Vuitton fashion show. The research method integrated the criteria for analysis and the characteristics of fashion show production through previous studies and a literature review. The characteristics of convergence production in Louis Vuitton fashion shows were identifeid through literature and visual data. In this study, the convergence of the Louis Vuitton fashion shows were divided into four categories: genre integration, sensory synesthesia, perspective diversification, and media scalability. First, the integration of genres enhanced the brand image and effectively conveyed the concept of the show. Second, the synesthesia of the senses expanded communication with the audience and increased the audience's immersion. It has also become a new way to experience fashion shows in person. Third, the diversity of perspectives changed and diversified the way audiences experienced fashion shows. Fourth, the scalability of the media means various ways in which the audience can experience fashion shows. Through this, it is possible to effectively convey information and experiences about fashion shows to the audience.

The main objective of this research was to understand the characteristics of printed geometric patterns through the statistical & qualitative analysis of fashion appeared in contemporary female collections 2011 S/S to 2013 A/W. Data collection of 294 was done through review of 'pr$\hat{e}$t-$\grave{a}$-porter Collections' of three major fashion cities; Paris, Milan and NY. Statistical analysis of frequency was conducted. Also qualitative interpretation of natural print design' characteristics were completed. The main findings were as followed; 1,636 of the total 15,852 designs were printed patterns in 12 Collections and the occurrence rate of printed geometric patterns in three collections were 8.6% in Milan, 9.2% in Paris and 12.9% in N.Y. Most geometric patterns were the types of compact or medium density in a front patterns with a variety of sizes and mainly applied to the one piece dress or two piece clothing item combination styles. Formative Characteristics of printed geometric patterns were classified into four types. First, a variety of thicknesses and shapes, such as a line or a rectangle shape to take advantage of the types of the typical geometric pattern. Second types were using the motifs which inspired by geometric shapes such as point, circle star and other special geometric shapes and arranging them regularly with various sizes and density. The third was repeated particular motifs which based on complex and sophisticated mathematical formulas. Fourth were the specific diagram types of bold and free shapes or dividing the flat and arranging them without rules, or the combination type of various geometric motifs.
The emergence of environmental and social issues has led to global discussions for the realization of sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to propose a method of sustainable fashion design using waste Hanbok, focusing on men's Hanbok with cultural values. The study utilizes literature research and fashion design development. From the literature study, reform was judged to be a higher concept encompassing reduction, recycling, and upcycling. Reduction is a design method through removal, and recycling design transforms from its original form into a completely different product. Upcycling design focuses on improvement and change in functionality. Accordingly, nine redesigns using men's Hanbok were developed from which three were produced. Consequently, the reduction design demonstrated a small range of variation without changing the item, and cultural sustainability was confirmed through the design that removed the components and recombined the Hanbok. Second, recycling redesign can be reconstituted into a different item. Third, upcycling enables various designs through module assembly, which prolongs the lifespan of the product and confirms its value as a raw material for waste Hanbok. This study is meaningful in realizing sustainable fashion and suggesting practical measures for the sustainability of Korean traditional culture and creative fashion design planning.
