Analysis on Leisure ViewPoint of Immigrant Female of Multi-Cultural Families (다문화가정 이주여성의 여가관 분석)

  • The purpose of this research is to elucidate the analysis on leisure viewpoint of immigrant female of multi-cultural families. This survey research have been performed with 140 of immigrant females who participate to the program of multi-cultural families support center located in Kyungki-do, Taejeon city, Chungnam-do and Chungbuk-do in 2010 by purposive sampling method. The final analysis was obtained from the survey results of total 89 immigrant females and the credibility of this survey represented Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ value above .613. The apparent results were the follows: First, the major leisure time of immigrant females of multi-cultural families on week days as well as weekend represented to be 1~2 hours. Second, the satisfaction on leisure activity of immigrant females was average level. Third, the best preference as leisure activity was travel. Fourth, their husbands were the favor partner for leisure activity of immigrant females. Fifth, the restriction on leisure activity of immigrant females showed some differences based on age, academic background, nationality and residence period. That is, personal restriction of age was below 25 years old, the highest personal and relative restriction of academic background represented in immigrant females below middle school graduator. Furthemore, the structural restriction and personal restriction on nationality showed the highest in the china and phillippine females, relatively. Personal restriction on residence period was mainly represented in immigrant females residing during 2.1~4 years.

The Effects of Product Involvement on Required Trust Level and the Online Merchant Choice (제품관여도가 요구 신뢰수준 및 온라인 상인의 선택에 미치는 영향)

  • A review of the related literature indicates that consumers' risk perceptions are largely affected by product involvement. This study investigates the impact of product involvement on required trust level and the online merchant choice. We developed a conceptual model that depicts the nomological relationships among product involvement, required trust level, and the online merchant choice, and formulated three hypotheses based on the conceptual model. An empirical study designed to accomplish the research objectives has been conducted using a questionnaire survey with 230 students in a university in Korea. The findings indicated that high-involvement products have higher trust level as required by consumers than low-involvement products, that consumers buying high-involvement products prefer digital storefronts, and that consumers buying low-involvement products prefer B2C e-marketplaces. The paper offers implications for academics as well as practitioners, based on the research results.

  • Leisure activity characteristics are related to an individual's stress management as well as quality of life. This study analyzed the relationship between leisure activity characteristics, stress, and quality of life of healing tourists, and analyzed the moderating effect of involvement on rural healing tourism. For this purpose, this study analyzed 658 cases who experienced rural healing tourism. Among the characteristics of leisure activities, the conflict between work and leisure had a positive (+) effect on stress, and that stress had a negative (+) effect on the quality of life. Among the characteristics of leisure activities, social support was found to have a positive (+) effect on the quality of life. In the relationship between stress and quality of life, involvement on rural healing tourism was found to have a moderating effect. The results of this study indicate the importance of social support for work-life balance and leisure, suggesting that daily recovery through rural healing tourism has a positive effect on personal stress management as well as quality of life.

  • The purpose of the this study was to investigate the association of the participation of leisure activities, leisure satisfaction and quality of life, and analyze the mediating effect of leisure satisfaction in the relationship between the participation of leisure activities and quality of life among people with disabilities. For the purpose, the data were collected by using non-random purposive and convenient sampling methods and 192 disabled people who reside in Daegu city and Kyungpook provinces filled out self-administered questionnaires for this study. Findings of the study indicated that there were statistically significant relationships among the participation of leisure activities, leisure satisfaction, and quality of life and active types of leisure activities such as physical activities, travel activities, and social participating activities were significantly related with leisure satisfaction and quality of life. In addition, the mediating effect of leisure satisfaction in the relationship between the participation of leisure activities and quality of life was statistically significant. Based on the findings of the study, possible practice implications for improving quality of life among disabled people and recommendation for further study were provided.

  • This study aimed to investigate the effect of leisure satisfaction on psychological wellbeing. The study conducted a survey of people aged 65 and over from five seniors welfare center located in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The results were as follows. First, the leisure satisfaction by demographic characteristic had shown significantly difference partially in gender, education level, and leisure types. Second, the psychological wellbeing by demographic characteristic had shown significantly difference partially in gender, age, and education level. Third, the leisure satisfaction had a significant effect on the psychological wellbeing partially and it was confirmed that the leisure satisfaction was a mightily important factor to increase psychological wellbeing and Quality of Life.

The Interaction Effects between YouTube Branded Contents' Ending Types and Product Involvement on Consumer Responses (유튜브 브랜디드 콘텐츠의 결론유형과 제품관여도의 상호작용이 소비자 반응에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examines the interaction effects between branded contents' ending types(happy ending, non-happy ending) and the level of product involvement(high involvement, low involvement) on consumer's negative responses. Results suggest that the level of product involvement had no significant effect on consumer responses since product on video clips was not closely linked to the contents' message. Selective empathy is identified as the happy ending type of branded contents had a greater effect on consumer's negative responses than the non-happy ending type of. It is an apparent new phenomenon shown among the young after 2000s. Moreover, the interaction between contents' ending types and the level of product involvement had a significant effect on consumer's negative responses. Two interaction terms (i.e. happy ending and low product involvement; non-happy ending and high product involvement) are the viable message strategies to weaken the consumer responses in terms of 'dislike'.

  • 비형식학습의 준비된 장소이며 대표적인 비형식 과학교육 기관인 천체투영관은 세계적으로 약 3000개 이상이 설치되었으며 국내에도 약 100여 곳이 운영되고 있다. 이제 국내에서도 천체투영관의 양적 증가가 아닌 질적 향상을 위한 노력과 함께 관련 연구가 시급하다. 또한 비형식학습을 통한 대국민의 천문학 인식 제고를 위하여 천체투영관의 교육적 활용에 대한 연구 또한 필요하다. 천체투영관의 교육적 활용을 위한 연구의 기초자료를 만들기 위하여 국내 80개 천체투영관 운영자들을 전화로 인터뷰하여 천체관의 현황을 조사하였다. 1)국내 천체투영관의 연방문객은 약 200만 명, 2)디지털방식의 투영장치를 갖춘 천체투영관이 조사된 천체투영관의 약 80%, 3) 돔스크린의 크기가 10m 미만인 곳은 조사된 천체투영관의 약56%를 차지하는 것으로 조사되었다. 이번 발표에서는 조사결과와 함께 천체투영관의 교육적 활용에 대한 연구 방향을 제시해 보고 관심 있는 관계자들의 의견을 듣고자 한다.
