Current ontology studies use the Hadoop distributed storage framework to perform map-reduce algorithm-based reasoning for scalable ontologies. In this paper, however, we propose a novel approach for scalable Web Ontology Language (OWL) Horst Lite ontology reasoning, based on distributed cluster memories. Rule-based reasoning, which is frequently used for scalable ontologies, iteratively executes triple-format ontology rules, until the inferred data no longer exists. Therefore, when the scalable ontology reasoning is performed on computer hard drives, the ontology reasoner suffers from performance limitations. In order to overcome this drawback, we propose an approach that loads the ontologies into distributed cluster memories, using Spark (a memory-based distributed computing framework), which executes the ontology reasoning. In order to implement an appropriate OWL Horst Lite ontology reasoning system on Spark, our method divides the scalable ontologies into blocks, loads each block into the cluster nodes, and subsequently handles the data in the distributed memories. We used the Lehigh University Benchmark, which is used to evaluate ontology inference and search speed, to experimentally evaluate the methods suggested in this paper, which we applied to LUBM8000 (1.1 billion triples, 155 gigabytes). When compared with WebPIE, a representative mapreduce algorithm-based scalable ontology reasoner, the proposed approach showed a throughput improvement of 320% (62k/s) over WebPIE (19k/s).

Compacted graphite iron(CGI), also known as vermicular graphite iron, is a metal which is gaining popularity in applications that require either greater strength, or lower weight than cast iron. Recently compacted graphite iron has been used for diesel engine blocks. Considering that using in exhaust manifold of the diesel engine, CGI340 was conducted the heat treatment during 1 hour to 96 hours from 873 to 1273 K. Mechanical characteristics were evaluated. The obtained results are as follows; The tensile strength of the heat treated specimens showed overall lower tensile strength than that of the base metal. Tensile strength decreases with increasing of heat treatment time, and the higher heat treatment temperature and the longer time, were more reduced. The fatigue limit by the ultrasonic fatigue test was approximately 130 MPa of base metal, 100 MPa of 1173 K (96 hrs) specimen, respectively. The hardness decreases with increasing heat treatment time, and the higher the heat treatment temperature was lowered hardness distribution. In CGI340, average hardness of nodular graphite was 120 Hv, average hardness of vermicular graphite was 114 Hv. This showed lower hardness than the base structure ferrite. The nodular graphite and vermicular graphite according to the heat treatment temperature and time didn't have a consistent change. However, the grain size of base structure grew with increasing of heat treatment time.

IEEE 802.11i is an amendment to the original IEEE 802.11/b,a,g standard specifying security mechanism by stipulating RSNA for tighter security. The RSNA uses TKIP(Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) and CCMP(Counter with CBC-MAC Protocol) instead of old-fashioned WEP(Wired Equivalent Privacy) for data encryption. This paper describes a design of a communication security engine for IEEE 802.11i MAC layer. The design includes WEP and TKIP modules based on the RC4 encryption algorithm, and CCMP module based on the AES encryption algorism. The WEP module suffices for compatibility with the IEEE 802.11 b,a,g MAC layer. The CCMP module has about 816.7Mbps throughput at 134MHz, hence it satisfies maximum 600Mbps data rate described in the IEEE 802.11n specifications. We propose a pipelined AES-CCMP cipher core architecture, which has lower hardware cost than existing AES cores, because CBC mode and CTR mode operate at the same time.

CGI is gaining popularity in applications that require either greater strength, or lower weight than cast iron. Recently, compacted graphite iron has been used for diesel engine blocks, turbo housings and exhaust manifolds. This paper were assessed acoustic emission characteristics according to the mechanical properties change of degraded CGI340 during 1-24 hours at 873~1173 K. In results of pencil lead fracture test, the dominant frequency and the velocity of base metal were 97 kHz and 5490 m/sec, respectively. The base metal in a tensile test was obtained relatively high dominant frequency. However, the heat treated materials, the longer the heat treatment time, the higher the heat treatment temperature, were obtained in the area of lower frequencies. This phenomenon appears by long-term use.

A three-way reversing valve, which provides rapid and accurate changes in the water flow direction without requiring any precise control device, is used in automotive washing machines to remove oil and dirt that remain on the machined engine and transmission blocks. Because of the complicated shape of the bottom-plug, however, cavitation occurs in the plug. In this study, the cavitation index and POC (percent of cavitation) were used to quantitatively evaluate the cavitation effect occurring in the bottom-plug on the downstream side. An optimal shape design was conducted via parametric study with a simple CAE model to avoid time-consuming CFD analysis and hard-to-achieve convergence. To verify the results of the numerical analysis, a flow visualization test was conducted using a specimen prepared according to ISA-RP75.23. In this test, the flow characteristics, such as cavitation occurring on the downstream side, were investigated using flow test equipment that included a valve, pump, flow control system, and high-speed camera.
Various characteristics(thermal expansion, microstructure, etc.) and mechanical properties of CNT-aluminum nano composites manufactured by volume production system were evaluated. Also, formability and durability were evaluated for potential applications in automotive parts, via compared with high-elasticity material (A390) and the current commercial product. As a result, this composite has excellent mechanical properties and formability, therefore, to verity its potential for application as light and high strength materials in automobile part.

This study was conducted to evaluate canal configuration after shaping by $ProTaper^{TM}$ with various rotational speed in J-shaped simulated resin canals. Forty simulated root canals were divided into 4 groups, and instrumented using by $ProTaper^{TM}$ at the rotational speed of 250, 300, 350 and 400 rpm. Pre-instrumented and post-instrumented images were taken by a scanner and those were superimposed. Outer canal width, inner canal width, total canal width, and amount of transportation from original axis were measured at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 mm from apex. Instrumentation time, instrument deformation and fracture were recorded. Data were analyzed by means of one-way ANOVA followed by Scheffe's test. The results were as follows 1. Regardless of rotational speed, at the $1{\sim}2mm$ from the apex, axis of canal was transported to outer side of a curvature, and at 3~6 mm from the apex, to inner side of a curvature. Amounts of transportation from original axis were not sienifcantly different among experimental groups except at 5 and 6 mm from the apex. 2. Instrumentation time of 350 and 400 rpm was significantly less than that of 250 and 300 rpm (p<0.01). In conclusion the rotational speed of $ProTaper^{TM}$ files in the range of $250{\sim}400rpm$ does not affect the change of canal configuration, and high rotational speed reduces the instrumentation time. However appearance of separation and distortion of Ni-Ti rotary files can occur in high rotational speed.

A pair of two-way valves typically is used in automotive washing machines, where the water flow direction is frequently reversed and highly pressurized clean water is sprayed to remove the oil and dirt remaining on machined engine and transmission blocks. Although this valve system has been widely used because of its competitive price, its application is sometimes restricted by surging effects, such as pressure ripples occurring in rapid changes in water flow caused by inaccurate valve control. As an alternative, one three-way reversing valve can replace the valve system because it provides rapid and accurate changes to the water flow direction without any precise control device. However, a cavitation effect occurs because of the complicated bottom plug shape of the valve. In this study, the cavitation index and percent of cavitation (POC) were introduced to numerically evaluate fluid flows via computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. To reduce the cavitation effect generated by the bottom plug, the optimal shape design was carried out through a parametric study, in which a simple computer-aided engineering (CAE) model was applied to avoid time-consuming CFD analysis and difficulties in achieving convergence. The optimal shape design process using full factorial design of experiments (DOEs) and an artificial neural network meta-model yielded the optimal waist and tail length of the bottom plug with a POC value of less than 30%, which meets the requirement of no cavitation occurrence. The optimal waist length, tail length and POC value were found to 6.42 mm, 6.96 mm and 27%, respectively.
