  • 본 논문에서는 50kW 디젤발전기를 MATLAB/SIMULINK를 이용해 모델링 하였으며, 독립운전을 통해 배터리에 전력을 공급하는 시스템을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 독립운전에서의 디젤발전기 제어기는 주파수를 제어하는 조속기와 전압을 제어하는 여자기로 구성되어 있으며, 액추에이터와 디젤엔진 등은 응답 속도를 고려한 시정수를 갖는 시지연 함수로써 모델링하였다. 디젤발전기에서 CVCF 제어를 통해 BESS(Battery Energy Storage System)에 전력을 공급할 때, 디젤발전기와 BESS 측의 전압 특성을 분석하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 입 바람 인터페이스를 이용하여 레이싱 게임에서의 논플레이어 캐릭터(Non-player character, NPC)를 제어할 수 있는 새로운 프레임워크를 제안한다. 대부분의 게임 콘텐츠에서 캐릭터를 제어하는 손가락을 이용한 인터페이스 방식이다. 이 같은 인터페이스의 제약은 게임의 재미를 감소시킬 뿐만 아니라 콘텐츠를 사용하는데 있어서 사용자의 몰입을 감쇠시키는 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 입 바람 인터페이스를 이용하여 자동차의 방향 및 속도를 제어하고 입 바람으로부터 계산된 바람의 강도를 외력으로 이용하여 NPC를 제어할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안하여, 게임의 몰입과 재미를 향상시킨다. 본 연구는 Unity 게임 엔진에서 개발했으며 레이싱 게임뿐만 아니라 다양한 콘텐츠에서 활용할 수 있다.

  • Optimal engine control is needed to cope with the global environmental regulations that are globally enforced. For optimum engine control, the electronic throttle control system (ETCS) is a prerequisite. Automotive makers are having an effect on reducing emissions and improving fuel economy by applying ETCS which is designed to secure stability. The ETCS controls the output of the throttle valve by passing the output value of the accelerator position sensor (APS) to the engine control unit (ECU). In this study, the authors investigated the safety standards of domestic and overseas accelerator control system and tried to understand how the air flow control affects the engine output by replacing the throttle. The authors suggest an improvement proposal of safety standard based on the result of driving evaluation by various modes.

A Study on the Performance Characteristics of Turbocharged Engine for the Stable Control (터보차저 엔진의 안정적 제어를 위한 성능 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the performance characteristics of turbocharged engine is analyzed. The methods of engine performance improvements are suggested not only for full load characteristics of the engine but also for partial load characteristics of the engine, which is more frequently used in actual driving conditions. The compression ratio of the compressor is increased rapidly in a straight line pattern until 1260 engine rpm, and after that it is increased slowly to 2.5 ratio. Also the brake mean effective pressure increased until 1260 engine rpm and decreased rapidly after 1600 engine rpm. The higher the pressure ratio, the better the fuel consumption, air excess ratio and brake mean effective pressure. But those are higher in the rated revolution range than in the mid-low revolution range. The turbocharger is operated in a stable condition from 1260 rpm and its efficiency is low in the low speed range for the reason of its characteristics. The results of this study can be applied in the fundamental control methods of turbocharged engine for stable load and speed.

  • Currently offshore fisheries are one of shrinking industries and fishermen are getting older. Moreover it is difficult to work fisheries for decreasing fishermen as the time goes. Two people per a boat work together at least for proper fisheries. If the unskilled fisherman boards on boat, it will make some troubles to speak each other and diminish the efficiency of working because one person should control the boat. So it need to study the remote control system for leasure and outboard engine that can control and work at the same time. The remote control system is consisted of engine revolution, steering gear and forward reverse neutral gear controls. These three controls are made by position and speed control using DC motor, and microprocessor is used to communicate and control the engine speed This system can be controled and worked alone and we tested the system at sea and confirmed that the system works properly.

  • In order to develop and inspect the electronic controller of propulsion system, It must emulate the electronic signal similar to actual signal. The applied signals on propulsion system are engine speed, turbine speed, various kinds of temperatue signal, pressure signal, LVDT/RVDT position signal and so forth. Contents are the development of emulator that simulate the electronic signals similar to actual signals.

  • The easiest way to see the phenomena of compressor surge is to show the static and dynamic operation characteristic on the map. Its operation zone will be restricted by the surge limit and, static and transient process must have some margin for it. Effect of rotor moment of inertia, air/gas volumes and heat transfer are factors to cause the transition from the static line. In case a large volume such as heat exchanger exists in the system it will exert a substantial influence to dynamic characteristics. In the present paper, influence of air volume bled from the compressor exit on transient process is investigated with an example of an auxiliary power unit micro-turbine engine. Turbine mass, pressure ratio, rotation speed, power and moment are calculated based on mass and work conservation. Result from the present study can give guidance to design the control system. A computer program is developed to calculate the dynamic process using the MathCAD commercial software.

  • 하이드라진 단기액체엔진을 장착하고 궤도에서 임무를 수행하고 있는 다목적실용 위성 추진시스템 궤도비행 초기운용 자료에 근거하여 추진제 소모율을 산정 한다. 추진시스템은 위성의 궤도각과 비행고도 조정을 위한 속도증분($\Delta$V) 및 자세제어를 위한 추력을 발생시킨다. 단기액체 추진시스템에서 추진제 소모량은 추력기 밸브의 개폐시간에 비례하고 추력 생성 효율은 추진제의 연소기 유입압력에 종속한다. 일정질량의 가압 기체 압력에 의해 연료를 공급하는 추진시스템에서 잔류 추진제 량의 감소는 연소기 유입압력의 감소를 유발하고 추진기관의 효율을 저하시키는 요인으로 작용하여 임무말기로 진행함에 따라 동일한 운동량 생성에 보다 많은 연료소모가 이루어진다.(중략)

An Adaptive Speed Control of a Diesel Engine by Means of the On-line Parameter Estimate (디젤기관의 on-line 파라미터 추정에 의한 적응 속도제어)

  • Recently, for the speed control of a diesel engine, some methods using the modern control theory such as LQ control technique, or $\textit{H}_{\infty}$control theory etc., have been reported. However, most of speed controlers of a diesel engine ever developed are still using the PID control algorithm. And, as another approach to the speed control of a diesel engine, the authors proposed already a new method to adjust the parameters of the PID controller by a model matching method. In the previous paper, the authors confirmed that the proposed new method is superior to Ziegler & Nichols's method through the analysis of results of the digital simulations under the assumption that the parameters of a diesel engine are known exactly. But, actually, it is very difficult to find out the value of parameters of a diesel engine accurately. And the parameters of a diesel engine are changigng according to the operating condition of a diesel engine. So, in this paper, a method to estimate the parameters of the PID controller for the speed control of a diesel engine by means of the model matching method are proposed. Also, the digital simulations are carried out in cases either with or without measurement noise. And this paper confirms that the proposed method here is superior to Ziegler & Nichols's method through the analysis of the characteristics of indicial responses.
