A Study on the Guidelines for Eco-Friendly Package Design (환경친화적 포장디자인 개발을 위한 가이드라인)

  • 최근 환경오염과 생태학적 환경문제가 사회적 중요한 관심사로 인식되고 있다. 포장디자인에 있어서도 재활용과 재사용에 대한 요구와 함께 스티로폼이나 플라스틱을 대체하는 친환경 포장용기와 생분해성 필름 등의 포장재의 개발과 생산이 점차 증가하고 있다. 이러한 사회적 배경에서 본 연구에서는 환경친화적 포장디자인의 개발을 위한 가이드라인 설정을 목적으로 하고 있다. 연구내용은 환경친화적 디자인의 개념과 에코 포장디자인 적용범주, 국내외 에코패키지의 동향 및 포장재 현황을 살펴보고, 각종 정책과 규정 및 관련지침 등의 이론적 자료들을 근거로 일반적으로 고려되고 있는 에코패키지의 기본 방향과 체크리스트를 분석하였으며 이에 따른 가이드 라인 및 수행 절차를 고찰하였다. 에코 패키지의 기본방향은 첫째, 포장디자인의 제작, 사용, 폐기에 이르는 전과정에서 환경측면을 고려해야 하며 둘째, 비용과 품질, 시장성, 디자인 등 다중요소를 고려해야 한다. 셋째, 디자인 부서와 제품설계부서, 생산부서, 환경팀 등 조직 내의 다른 시스템과 기능적으로 협력하여야 하며 넷째, 기업의 다른 여러 가지 환경 활동을 통해 잠재적인 소비자와 시장을 확대할 수 있다는 것이다. 가이드라인의 내용은 자원 절감과 물질 사용량 절감, 재활용성 확대, 에너지 효율 향상, 유해 물질 저감과 안전성 확보, 폐기 효율성을 중심으로 하고 있다. 환경 친화적 포장디자인의 실천을 통해 환경영향성을 개선하고 비용을 감소시키며 소비자의 이미지 개선에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Ganglionic cyst is the most common benign tumor in the wrist and hand, and easily diagnosed with ultrasonography. Ganglionic cyst in sonography usually appears as hypoechoic or anechoic with well-demarcated cystic mass. We report a case of the hyperechoic mass at the volar aspect of the wrist, which confirmed as ganglionic cyst by operative and histological findings.

  • 국립기상연구소(National Institute of Meteorological Research; NIMR)는 기상청 이중편파 레이더 현업운영에 대비하여 2009년 X-band 연구용 이중편파 레이더를 도입하였고, 편파변수의 산출과 대기수상체 분류를 포함한 강수추정 등의 효용 가능성에 대한 연구를 지난 2년간 수행하고 있다. 이중편파 레이더는 반사도( )뿐만 아니라 차등반사도($Z_R$), 비차등 위상($K_{DP}$), 상관계수($_v$)등의 편파 변수의 산출로 강우감쇠보정과 기상에코-비기상의 에코(ground clutter, insects, birds, chaff)의 구별이 가능하다. 이러한 장점들을 이용해 레이더 자료품질 개선과 정량적 강수추정의 상당한 개선에 도움이 된다. 본 연구에서는 강수추정 관계식 R-Z, 감쇠 보정된 R-Z, R-$K_{DP}$ 관계식을 이용하여 레이더 관측 반경 내에 존재 하는 81개의 지상 우량계 자료와 강수량 추정의 정확도 비교 검증을 실시하였다. 그리고 Fuzzy logic 기법을 이용한 대기수상체 분류 알고리즘을 사용하였고 관측사례는 2011년 수도권 관측을 통해 강설/강수 에코 구별과 우박에코 사례를 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 이중 편파 레이더에서 산출된 고품질의 레이더기상자료를 기반으로 현업 예보지원 및 정량적 강우예측 향상에도 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

Nickel Particle Coatings by Electroless Plating onto Carbon Nanotubes (탄소나노튜브 표면의 무전해 니켈입자 코팅)

  • Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) have recently emerged as a material with outstanding properties. It has shown promising potential for applications in many engineering fields as electronic devices, thermal conductors, and light-weight composites. Researchers have investigated their use as reinforcements in themetal matrix composites of CNTs. In the present work, we decorated CNTs with Ni particles by electroless plating. The CNTs were wet-ball milled for various milling times with a nickel sulfate solution. The precipitated Ni particles were observed mainly by FESEM. In this study, the dispersion of the CNTs and Ni particles was improved with the addition of the surfactant. Also, as the CNTs were shortened and widened by an increased ball milling time, the size of the precipitated Ni particles increased. It was estimated that the CNTs were deformed and caused some defects on their surface during the ball milling process. Those defects were assumed to be heterogeneous nucleation sites for the Ni particles.

  • In order to estimate demersal fishes using acoustic echo sounders and echo integrators, we consider several problems that are accurate bottom detection, optimum bottom offset and dead zone. The dead zone where no fish detection are summed distance resolution by the half pulse length of transmitted pulse and beam angle above the seabed. This paper has considered the dead-zone correction method to be technically correct for survey of demersal fishes. A comparison between near-bottom SV profiles acquired in Funka Bay, Hokkaido, of Japan, the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea, of Korea, with before and after the bottom correction, shows that the SV obtained with after the bottom correction is 2∼3dB higher than before the bottom correction in Funka Bay, and 17dB higher in East China Sea, too.

  • Since the advent of global warming and energy depletion, there has been great interest in eco-driving (energy-efficient driving). In this paper, a system is proposed to monitor the idle running of an engine and steady driving for a vehicle equipped with an ISG (Idling Stop & Go system). The system consists of a G/W device to acquire the vehicle operation data, a smartphone app for monitoring eco-driving and a server system. The main contribution of this paper is that it defines the integrated functions, the architecture and operation mechanisms of a system for monitoring eco-driving including the prohibition of running idle. The system enables the users to check the idling stop times, driving speeds, fuel savings, and $CO_2$ emissions, resulting in the driving style for eco-driving. The server system, which is a part of this system, provides OpenAPI-style web services for the storage and retrieval of car operation data, which facilitates the development of applications.

  • It is the purpose of this paper to describe the methods for establishing loudness ratings and talker echo out of transmission quality of ISDN telephone connected to fully digital network. In order to design the desirable loudness ratings and talker echo for ISDN telephone, the model system of digital speech communication for subjective tests is developed. Using this model system, opinion tests which decide the optimal CODEC input level, the range of overall loudness rating, sidetone masking rating and talker echo are performed. From the results of tests, we decided that the loudness ratings are 6 to 8dB for sending, 0 to 2dB for receiving, and 8 to 12dB for sidetone masking rating. And, the terminal coupling loss of TCLw of at least 40dB is necessary to provide echo-free telephone communications to telophone users when the overall loudness rating of ISDN telephone is normalized to 10dB.

Nondestructive Assessment of Compressive Strength of Construction Materials Using Impact-Echo Response Signal (임팩에코 응답신호를 적용한 건설재료 비파괴 압축강도 산정)

  • This paper is to grasp the use of impact-echo response signal induced from impacting an object for the assessment of compressive strength of construction materials nondestructively and to propose the test results. For this study, an impact device was devised and used for impacting an object by an initial rotating free falling impact and following repetitive impacts from the rebound action which eventually disappears. Concrete test specimens which had been mixed for different strengths were tested and the impact echo response signal was measured for each test specimen. The total sound signal energy which is assessed from integrating the impact-echo response signal was compared with the directly measured compressive strength for each specimen. The comparison showed that the total sound signal energy has a direct relationship with the directly measured compressive strength and the results clearly indicated that the compressive strength of construction materials can be assessed nondestructively using total sound signal energy which is assessed from integrating the impact-echo response signal induced from impacting an object.

  • Purpose: To verify the sinificance of the hyperechoic cluster formation in medial meniscal tear on the sonography. Materials and Methods: The formation of hyperechoic cluster of the medial meniscus on the sonography were compared with the MRI and arthroscopic findings in 28 knees. Results: The cluster formation area coincided with the overlapped torn fragment of the meniscus in all cases. Conclusion: The hyperechoic cluster on the sonography reveals the position of the overlapped torn fragment.

A Causal Model Analysis of the Family Health of Baby Boomer Parents and the Marital Preparation Skill of Eco-Boomer Children - Focusing on College-Aged Students - (베이비붐 부모세대의 가족건강성과 에코 자녀세대의 결혼생활준비기술에 대한 인과모형분석 - 대학생 자녀를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of the present study was to examine the causal effects of the family health of baby boomer parents as a determinant of marital preparation skills of eco-boomer children. Subjects in this study consisted of 475 students born before 1992, and whose parents were born from 1955 to 1963. The programs of SPSSWIN 18.0 and LISREL 8.51 were used for data analysis. The result of this study showed that the financial management skills of saving and consumption were the lowest of marital preparation skills of echo-boomer generation. Besides, baby boomer parents' family health perceived by their children was found to be the determinant of the marital preparation skills of eco-boomers. Particularly, the effect of family health was shown to be high on parental role skill, conflict resolution skill, and parenting preparation skill of marital preparation skills, whereas it was revealed to be relatively low on financial management skill. Findings of this study can be used in developing educational programs of marital preparation skills for eco-boomers.
