Development of a System-Independent Mobile Smart Shelter using Solar Energy (태양광 에너지를 이용한 계통 독립형 이동식 스마트 쉼터 개발)

  • This paper presents a system-independent mobile smart shelter using solar energy technology that can be freely installed in various places, such as parks, countryside, event area, construction area and walking tour places where the system power are difficult to use. The proposed smart shelter is equipped with solar power generation and energy storage devices that is combined with IoT technology to collect indoor and outdoor humidity, fine dust and tourist awareness in real time. It is possible to efficiently manage energy by performing the optimal energy operation during the heat- wave, cold-wave situation and the presence of travelers and it is possible to serve as a shelter for as long as possible without system power.

  • This paper introduces step by step procedures for the fabrication and operation of an embedded solar tracker. The system presented consists of application software, compactRIO, C-series interface module, analogue input module, step drive, step motor, feedback devices and other accessories to support its functional stability. CompactRIO that has a real-tim processor allows the solar tracker to be a stand-alone real time system which operates automatically without any external control. An astronomical method and an optical method were used for a high-precision solar tracker. CdS sensors are used to constantly generate feedback signals to the controller, which allow a solar tracker to track the sun even under adverse conditions. The database of solar position and sunrise and sunset time was compared with those of those of the Astronomical Applications Department of the U.S. Naval Observatory. The results presented here clearly demonstrate the high-accuracy of the present system in solar tracking, which are applicable to many existing solar systems.

Development of On-axis Raman Lidar System for Remotely Measuring Hydrogen Gas at Long Distance (원거리 수소 가스 원격 계측을 위한 On-axis 라만 라이다 장치 개발)

  • Hydrogen gas is an important and promising energy resource that has no emissions of pollutants during power generation. However, hydrogen gas is very dangerous because it is colorless, odorless, highly flammable, and explosive at low concentration. Conventional techniques for hydrogen gas detection are very difficult for measuring the hydrogen gas distribution at long distances, because they sample the gas to measure its concentration. Raman lidar is one of the techniques for remotely detecting hydrogen gas and measuring the range of the hydrogen gas distribution. A Raman lidar system with an on-axis optical receiver was developed to improve the range of hydrogen gas detection at long distance. To verify the accuracy and improvement in the range of detecting the hydrogen gas, experiments measuring the hydrogen gas concentration are carried out using the developed on-axis Raman lidar system and a gas chamber, to prevent explosion of the hydrogen gas. As a result, our developed on-axis Raman lidar system can measure a minimum hydrogen gas concentration of 0.66 volume percent at a distance of 50 m.

  • 최근의 배전반 설비의 고성능, 안정성, 신뢰성은 전기에너지의 사회적 욕구로 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전력품질에 관한 정보를 수집하고 통합 모니터링과 설비의 보호, 그리고 다양한 장치들을 제어할 수 있는 전력 모니터링 시스템의 개발에 대하여 고려하고자 한다. 전력품질 모니터링을 통하여 수집된 정보는 시스템의 효과적인 운용과 사용상의 신뢰성을 개선시킨다. 본 시스템은 크게 하드웨어부와 소프트웨어부로 구성된다. 하드웨어부는 원칩 마이크로 프로세서(Intel 80C196KC)를 사용한 측정과 제어, 통신 그리고 입/출력을 담당하는 다기능 인디케이터와 컨트롤러로 구성된다. 다양한 기능의 모니터링, 데이터베이스와 제어를 PC상에서 구현하기 위한 소프트웨어부는 사용자 그래픽 인터페이스(GUI) 기반의 비주얼 프로그래밍을 사용하여 개발되었다.

  • 현재 건설중인 3톤/일 규모의 석탄가스화기 운전제어를 위한 콘트롤시스템은 각종 하드웨어와 소프트웨어로 구성된다. 하드웨어는 운전자가 접하게되는 컴퓨터 화면(Operator Console), 운전 제어용 판넬(Hardwired Console), 본 시스템의 핵심인 콘트롤러(PLC; Programmable Logic Controller), 폭발성가스와 분진이 있는 환경하에서의 안전운전을 위한 본질안전 장벽(Intrinsic Safety Barrier) 및 운전정보 수집과 운전 제어를 위한 각종 전/계장품(Field Instrument) 등으로 구성된다. 본 시스템에 포함되는 소프트웨어에는 운전자와 콘트롤러간의 통신을 위한 운전제어화면(GUI;Graphical User Interface), 전체적인 제어를 위한 콘트롤로직(Control Logic)등이있다. 한편 각종 펌프 및 보일러 등 보조설비로의 전기공급을 위한 MCC(Motor Control Center)도 하나의 구성원이 된다. 본 논문은 석탄가스화 반응기의 운전에 관한 전반적인 검토와 콘트롤시스템을 구성하는 각 요소와 각각의 특징 및 그 개발 현황에 대한 검토를 그 내용으로 한다. 본 연구과제를 통해 제작, 설치될 석탄가스화기는 차세대 발전 시스템으로 주목을 받고있는 석탄가스화 복합발전시스템의 핵심부분으로, 본 반응장치의 제어에 관한 경험은 상용 규모의 석탄가스화 반응기에도 유사하게 적용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • Requirements of wireless sensor are increasing in machine condition monitoring. But, the limitation of battery power, self-power wireless sensor is necessary for the purpose of stand-alone operation. To overcome this problem, energy harvester is developed by the vibration energy. The purpose of this study is to develop a high efficiency energy harvester with high precision tuning.

  • 핵융합 실증로는 미래 에너지원 개발을 위한 대형 프로젝트로 한국형 핵융합 실증로 건설 및 핵융합 에너지 상용화 기술을 개발하는데 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 원자 및 분자 충돌을 통한 데이터는 물리적으로 화학적으로 기본을 이루고 있으며 우리가 주로 접하는 데이터들이다. 특히, 플라즈마 내에서 일어나는 입자(전자, 원자, 이온 분자) 등의 충돌에 따른 데이터를 물성데이터라 하며 이는 핵융합, 반도체 제작, 디스플레이 장치 등의 다양한 분야에 응용된다. 본 논문은 원자 및 분자에 대한 데이터를 수집 및 정제하고 이를 저장하고 관리하는 기술 정보시스템 개발을 위한 원자 및 분자 데이터베이스 구축을 위한 방법을 연구한다.

  • It is essential to introduce EERS (Energy Efficiency Resource Standards) according to the trend of the era in which energy saving is emphasized, and it is time to settle down in a stable manner. Electric motors and lighting devices, which account for more than 60% of the nation's electricity use, are the most effective items of the EERS. And accurate methods of calculating savings must be preceded. In this study, the operation rate and load rate are measured through the demonstration of energy use at 400 businesses and the measured rates are used for EERS savings calculation. The results imply that the proposed method can be successfully applied to calculate cost-effective and reliable energy savings.

  • The measured solar radiation incident on tilted surfaces by all directions has been widely used as important solar radiation data in installing solar collectors, hot water systems, and photovoltaic modules, and in designing solar buildings and houses. To maximize the incident beam radiation, the slope, which is the angle between the plane of the surface in question and the horizontal, and the solar azimuth angles are needed for these solar applied systems. To respond to above needs, a theoretical study with actual measurements on moving route of the sun is carried out. This study focuses on the development of an solar expert system and on the selection of slopes for solar absorber plates in Korea.

A Study on the Design of Tidal Current Farm in the Bunamgun-do (부남군도에서의 조류발전단지 설계에 관한 연구)

  • Many efforts will have to be made on securing the stable supply of the energy due to the worldwide trend of controlling the utilization fossil fuels inducing global climate change. Renewable portfolio standard enforced to power companies over 500 MW capacity from 2012. Tidal current energy is one of the most interesting renewable and clean energy resources that have been less exploited. Especially, Korea has worldwide outstanding tidal current energy resources and it is highly required to develop a tidal current energy conversion system(TECS) in coastal region. So, we examine a tidal in-stream energy using a numerical model and estimate a tidal current potential for commercialization of tidal current power plant in the sea of the Bunamgun-do. Available tidal energy resources is also analytically estimated using a tidal farm method and the annual energy production of an optimal TECS arrays will be calculated with taking into account interference of lateral and longitudinal spacing.
