  • 금속수소화물은 열에너지 및 수소저장 또는 에너지변환장치 등에 많은 응용이 기대되고 있다. 특히 금속수소화물을 이용한 최근의 에너지 변환기술은 기술적으로 뿐만 아니라 경제성면에서도 그 가능성이 한층 높아지고 있다. 본문에서는 이와 같은 열변환장치의 하나인 열펌프의 제작에 필요한 동적특성을 P-C-T, 열 및 물질전달, 흡 탈착반응속도 그리고 성능 등의 관계에서 그 발전과정을 살펴보고, 그밖에 실용화에 따른 문제성도 논의하였다.

  • As the wind has become one of the fastest growing renewable energy sources, the key issue of wind energy conversion systems is how to efficiently operate the wind turbines in a wide range of wind speeds. Compared to fixed speed turbines, variable speed wind turbines feature higher energy yields, lower component stress and fewer grid connection power peaks. Generally, measurement of wind speed is required for the control of variable speed wind turbine system. However, wind speed measured by anemometers is not accurate owing to various reasons. In this work, a new control algorithm for variable speed wind turbine system based on Kalman filter which can be used for the estimation of wind speed and artificial neural network which can generate optimum rotor speed is proposed. Also, to verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme, various simulation studies are carried out by using Simulink in Matlab.

Power Consumption Modeling and Analysis of Urban Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Using Deep Neural Networ (심층신경망을 활용한 도심용 무인항공기의 전력소모 예측 모델링 및 분석)

  • As the range of use of urban unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) expands, it is necessary to operate UAVs efficiently because of its limited battery capacity. For this, it is required to find the optimal flight profile with various simulations. Therefore, it is important to predict the power and energy consumption of the UAV battery. In this paper, we analyzed the relationship between the speed and acceleration of the UAV and power consumption during the flight. Then, we derived a linear model, which is easily utilized. In addition, we also derived an accurate power consumption model based on deep neural network learning. To find the efficient model, we used learning data as 1) the GPS 3-axis velocity and acceleration data, 2) the IMU 3-axis velocity only, and 3) the IMU 3-axis velocity and acceleration data. The final model shows 5.86% error rate for power consumption and 1.50% error rate for the cumulative energy consumption.

  • We propose a new transit time device to extend the operating frequency to submillimeter-wave(extreme infrared) ranges by utilizing velocity overshoot effects in the drift region. We name it a velocity overshoot transit time (OVTT) diode. This device adopts fast heterostructure tunneling as injection mechanism and a short drift region to optimize the velocity overshoot effects. To enhance dc-to-RF conversion efficiencym the drift region is designed with a bandgap grading method. Simulation results demonstrate that a VOTT diode can be operated at THz ranges.

  • 탄소재료의 산화반응을 설명한 대부분의 논문은 TGA(Thermo Gravimetric Analysis)를 이용한 연구이다. TGA 장치는 가열이 필요한 물질의 반응연구에 다양하게 이용되고 있는데, 온도에 대한 무게 변화를 간편하게 알 수 있다는 장점과 함께 보편적으로 편리한 Arrhenius형태의 속도식으로 해석된다. 많은 연구자들은 TGA를 이용하여 다양한 탄소재료에 대한 반응속도상수를 구하였으며, 반응기체, 반응온도 및 원료물질에 따라 다른 속도를 나타내는 실험결과를 표준화된 속도식으로 표현하고자 하는 노력이 있었다. 그러나 이런 대부분의 연구는 coal 등과 같은 탄소재료의 연소특성을 이용하려는 에너지 변환 연구가 주를 이루어 왔으며, 탄소섬유의 산화반응에 대한 표준화 식으로 해석한 보고는 거의 없는 실정이다. 이 연구에서는 내부구조가 현격하게 차이나는 다른 두 종류의 피치계 탄소섬유를 TGA를 이용하여 등온 산화반응 시켰다. 반응기체의 종류와 반응온도를 변화시켜 산화반응조건에 따른 중량변화를 관찰하였고, 여러 산화조건에서 얻어진 산화속도를 Kasaoka 등에 의해 제안된 표준화식을 이용하여 산화반응의 평균 속도상수 K와 전환율이 0.5일 때의 속도상수 $k_{f=0.5}$ 결과를 비교하여 산화 반응속도를 정량적으로 해석하고자 하였다.다.

  • To evaluate the effects of transportation system operation, usually measures of effectiveness(MOE) such as travel time, space mean speed, stop/delay ratio have been used. But, energy consumption as well as the existing MOE in transportation receives more attention as an alternative MOE in transportation operation. The purpose of this study is a development of procedure, which could measure the relative energy consumption for each alternative and compare the results. A mesoscopic simulator called INTEGRATION is used to evaluate the operation of high occupancy vehicle lane, signal optimization, lane expansion, and the application of ITS. Among those, the application of ITS shows the greatest effectiveness in energy reduction, and then lane expansion, signal optimization, and the operation of high occupancy vehicle lane in the order named. Because we don't consider the characteristics of vehicle class, Potential demand and the simulation time is just for an hour. it is recommended that a procedure for precise economic analysis and an improvement in methodology are needed in the future for the expanded application of this study.

  • Owing to the increasing worldwide interest in green technology and renewable energy sources, flywheel energy storage systems (FESSs) are gaining importance as a viable alternative to traditional battery systems. Since the energy storage capacity of an FESS is proportional to the principal mass-moment of inertia and the square of the running speed, a design that maximizes the principal inertia while operatingrunning at the highest possible speed is important. However, the requirements for the stability of the system may impose a constraint on the optimal design. In this paper, an optimal design of an FESS that not only maximizes the energy capacity but also satisfies the requirements for system stability and reduces the sensitivity to external disturbances is proposed. Cross feedback control in combination with a conventional proportional-derivative (PD) controller is essential to reduce the effect of gyroscopic coupling and to increase the stored energy and the specific energy density.

  • This paper presents about energy input and output modeling for a flywheel energy storage system that can store and supply mechanical energy, which is emerging as one of clean energy sources, and the analysis and control of a PWM inverter system. Moreover, this paper describes flywheel's characteristics related to variations of mechanical and electrical parameters like as voltage and current versus speed characteristics formed as numerical formula and thus simulate behaviour-status of flywheel energy. Also for comparison and analysis between PI control and PDFF control, the modeling, design and analysis to the single-phase full bridge inverter with double loop feedback control is accomplished through numerical description and simulation. Finally, under load condition 0.1[pu], 1[pu]. it is validated that harmonic characteristics for voltage and current wave is controlled within 5% below even dynamics condition.
