Application of the PSP methodology to personal learning process (개인학습프로세스 개선을 위한 PSP 방법론 활용)

  • 최근 IT 기술의 발전으로 인해 조직의 업무 생산성과 품질을 향상시키기 위한 프로세스 개선 연구와 노력이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 상당수의 프로세스 개선 활동이 기대만큼의 성과를 올리지 못하고 있다. 그 이유는 조직의 프로세스 개선 노력이 개인의 업무 수행 역량의 차이를 고려하지 않기 때문이다. 조직의 성과는 조직을 구성하고 있는 개인의 성과로부터 기인한다. 그러므로 조직의 업무 프로세스 개선노력이 보다 실효를 거두기 위해서는 개인의 업무 프로세스 개선 노력이 병행되어야 하며 이를 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 학습 체계와 성과에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 소프트웨어 개발 분야에서 개발자의 업무 프로세스를 분석하고 개선하기 위한 PSP 방법론(Personal Software Process)을 활용하고 있다. 본 연구는 PSP 방법론을 활용하여 일반 사무 근로자의 업무 프로세스를 개선 모형을 제시하기 위한 선행 연구로서 대학 수업을 듣는 학생들이 활용할 수 있는 개인 학습 프로세스 개선 방법과 성과 측정 기준을 제시하였다.

A study of relevant model of information management system based on business process for embodying BPM on construction company (건설기업 BPM 구현을 위한 업무 프로세스 기반의 업무지원 시스템 연계모델에 관한 연구 -공정관리 업무 프로세스를 중심으로-)

  • Construction companies are trying to apply process management to their business to improve efficiency in business circumstance of high competition and globalization. Since 1990s, construction firms adopted process management to improve internal and external business structure based on process. It however has a few improvement functions. In addition, business support systems for business process efficiency improvement were developed, but separation between business process and IT system occurred because it focused on function-based individual construction and data input/output. To solve this problem, this study proposed business process and IT integration model for supporting user to use business information and system based on visualized business process and improving use of previous business support system. Business efficiency is expected to be improved with this model which based on integration required business condition(stakeholder, business data, functions of business supporting system). This study developved process model, architecture, and BPA of whole construction management business. According to BPA, it analyzed business process stakeholder, detail activities, and input-output data. And also it examined 12 main business supporting system of Korean construction firms. Based on analyzed data, this study developed business process supporting integration model based on business process through PDCA and CRUD analysis.

  • 경영환경의 변화에 대한 기업의 대처능력이 곧 생존에 직결되고 있는 시점에서 이에 대한 해결책으로 통합업무 프로세스를 지향하는 ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)을 통하여 경쟁력을 강화하려는 노력이 진행되고 있다. 그러나 ERP는 적용상의 어려움과 실제 업무와의 차이점으로 인하여 막대한 노력을 들이고도 성공적으로 업무에 활용되지 못하는 사례가 많은 실정이다. 특히 건설업의 경우는 주문생산 방식의 프로젝트 특성 및 영세한 외주업체와 협업해야 하는 환경요인으로 인해 전산환경과 정보화에 많은 제약사항들을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 건설업체 D사의 예를 들어 건설업 ERP 패키지를 도입하여 업무 개선에 적용한 사례를 소개하였다. 건설사 고유 업무인 공사관리 업무 및 일반관리 업무를 대상으로 현행 프로세스를 진단하고 문제점을 도출하였으며 ERP의 Best Practice를 바탕으로 프로세스 개선방안을 제시하였다. 회사는 ERP와 유기적으로 연결된 개선안의 추진을 통해 지속적인 경영혁신 활동의 토대를 구축하였으며 이에 따른 정성적, 정량적인 성공요인을 분석하였다.

  • Recently construction companies expand position for apartment house in construction market because of house supply rate increase and its amount. In addition, because the focus of house sale market has moved to customer from supplier, the importance of defect management is being issued currently. However, current apartment defect management is not satisfied with customer's demand for the lack of business process management, management organization, information feedback, and readiness for defect in construction phase. To solve this problem, this study proposed business process management improvement model for defect management. Proposed improvement model make information feedback, defect management business quality improvement, and improper process improvement through integrating defect management and quality management. It is expected to contribute to customer's satisfaction improvement and reliance improvement for construction companies.

  • This research focuses on the process improvement of port logistics by using Lean methodology. On the one hand, we firstly analyze the current situation and weakness of the processes in port logistics, and then re-design the current processes by the principles of Lean discipline. Based on the appropriately changed processes, the improvement scheme of port logistics will be figured out. On the other hand, we construct the port logistics system by implementing the improved processes. The port logistics' processes accomplished in steel company will be further assorted and identified. The relationship of wharves process, operational process, shipping process, construction process, quality process, and purchasing process are also defined. Every process has been improved by Lean Tools in order to analyze the value added or non-value added processes, to improve the service level, and to reduce the cycle time, inventory, changing time, re-working and waste. Based on above, the appropriate environment that is suitable to Lean process of port logistics will be established and the modeling that can help to implement the improvement scheme will be figured out.

Improvement of the Pipe Welding Management Process for Petrochemical Plant Projects (석유화학 플랜트 배관공사용 용접관리 프로세스의 개선)

  • 국내 플랜트 엔지니어링 및 건설 업체들의 수익성 악화가 지속됨에 따라 플랜트 원가 경쟁력 강화 및 생산성 향상에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ISO 도면으로부터 용접 포인트의 번호를 부여 하는 용접커팅플랜 작업과 용접이력관리를 위한 용접검사보고서 작성에 대하여 현행 프로세스를 분석하고 문제점을 도출하였다. 현행 프로세스에서는 수작업에 따른 생산성 저하와 현장변경요청 발생에 대한 검증의 어려움이 발생하여 전산화를 통하여 석유화학 플랜트 배관공사용 용접관리 프로세스를 개선하였다. 개선 효과의 검증을 위해 국내 석유화학 플랜트 건설 프로젝트를 대상으로 현장변경요청 발생률과 업무 생산성 향상에 대하여 개선 전후를 비교하였다. 개선된 프로세스를 적용하여 현장변경요청 발생률은 개선프로세스 적용 이전 대비 4.3%p 감소하였고, 업무 생산성은 개선프로세스 적용 이전 대비 생산성이 한 장당 0.13 시간 향상이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The growth of sensor and wireless communication technology enable us to monitor the status of things in real-time. There are many attempts to apply the real-time monitoring in various fields. Especially, the real-time monitoring in facility management fields has attracted much attentions recently. But it is difficult to apply recent technologies including sensor, wireless communication and Geospatial information technologies, etc, to the real situation directly. One of the reasons is that facility managers who are familiar with existing processes may resist the change induced by new technologies. So it is necessary to close the gap between new technologies and existing processes by improving the existing processes prior to putting them in the field. In this paper, we suggest the management process improvement focused on the district heating facilities.

  • Business Process Management (BPM) System is a software system to support an efficient execution, control and management of business processes. The system automates complex business processes and manages them effectively to raise productivity. Traditional commercial systems mainly focus on automating processes and do not have methods for enhancing process performances and task performer's efficiency. Therefore, there is room for enhancement of task performers' productivities and efficiency of business processes. In this paper, we propose a new method of executing business processes more efficiently in that a whole process is scheduled considering the degree of participants' workload. The method allows managing the largest constraints among constituent resources of the process. This method is based on the DBR (Drum-Buffer-Rope) in TOC (Theory of Constraints) concepts. We first consider the differences between business process models and DBR application models, and then develop the modified drum, buffer and rope. This leads us to develop BP-DBR (Business Process-DBR) that can control the proper size of task performers' work list and arrival rate of process instances. Use of BP-DBR improves the efficiency of the whole process as well as participants' working condition. We then carry out a set of simulation experiments and compare the effectiveness of our approach with that of the scheduling techniques used in existing systems.
