An Integrated Construction Management Framework based on Ubiquitous Computing Technology (유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술 기반 통합 건설관리 체계)

  • In this study, we propose an ubiquitous computing technology (UCT) based construction management (CM) framework which is composed of processes, information systems, and organizations. For this, we first define 14 promising UCT based CM tasks from 140 candidate tasks using a matrix analysis technique. After defining the 14 tasks, we survey the construction management experts with questionnaire of the importance, improvement possibility, ease of implementation of the tasks. Based on the survey results, we select three high priority tasks: material management, operation management, inspection and measurement management. We conceptually design the framework, that is, processes, information systems, and organizations for the 3 tasks to be more innovative by applying the UCT to the CM tasks. Finally, we apply the proposed framework to some construction fields and estimate the effectiveness of the framework. Estimation results show that the CM tasks can be performed more quickly with less man powers using the UCT-based CM framework.

  • This case focuses on the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, which applied RFID technology as a record management system for efficient record management by identifying the characteristics of the agency's work that requires the management of large and similar nonelectronic records. When issuing RFID tags in conjunction with the business system, the records management system automatically obtains metadata from the system and secures it as a list, and records management personnel actively use it as the basis for overall records management tasks. To that end, the company reorganized its business processes, designed functions that reflect its unique business, and established infrastructure. These resulted in easier identification of the output and holding volume of accurate records, and work efficiency. Finally, people in charge of the work increased their awareness of records management.

  • Currently, the appraisal system for public records is mainly based on the disposition authority named 'Records Management Criteria Table,' which has many limitations in digital environment. Especially, it does not apply to other systems than the 'Business Management System' and does not adequately reflect the complex environment of records creation. The purpose of this study is to suggest ways to improve the 'Records Management Criteria Table,' so that it can be applied to appraisal of records created in a complex work environment. For this purpose, this study investigates a case of 'Factory Establishment and Registration' activity performed by local governments. For this activity, related laws and regulations, business processes and systems for those processes are analyzed and types of records are examined by each business process and system. Based on these analyses, the development procedure and structure of a new 'Records Management Criteria Table' are suggested, so that it can be applicable as disposition authority in the complex environments of records creation.

  • 항로표지시설(Aids to Navigation, AtoN)은 항해하는 선박의 안전 및 효율적인 항해를 위하여 설치 운영되는 것으로 현재 우리나라는 총 4,722기의 항로표지시설을 해양수산부 산하 해사안전국 항로표지과를 중심으로 해양수산부장관 소속으로 11개의 지방해양수산청을 두고 항로표지시설 설치 유지 및 보수관련 업무를 수행하고 있다. 그러나 각 직무에 대한 명확한 업무분석이 이루어지지 않고 지방청별 관리해역을 기준으로 항로표지시설을 관리하고 있어 실질적인 업무 상 어려움이 발생하고 있는 실정이다. 이 연구에서는 항로표지시설을 인적요소와 물적요소로 구분하여 전체 항로표지시설 관리체계의 효율성을 향상시키기 위하여 업무량 기반의 항로표지시설 관리 인적요소 체계를 구성하고, 이를 통한 거점등대 중심의 효율적인 물적요소 관리체계 구축하고자 한다.

  • 국내 중소기업은 대기업에 비해 취약한 경쟁력을 보이고 이러한 격차는 점차 심화되어 왔다. 특히 중소제조업체들의 경우 제조 현장에서의 장비 도입이나 자재 등의 관리 활동에 비해 사무 현장에서의 데이터 관리 및 업무 프로세스 효율화에 상대적으로 취약하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 조선기자재 관련 중소제조업체에서의 수주관리 업무와 관련하여 적절한 데이터베이스를 설계하고 이와 연동되는 웹 기반 통합수주관리 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 통해 중소제조업체의 업무 효율성을 증대함과 동시에 일상적인 업무에서의 정보시스템 활용도를 높이고, 향후 규모가 큰 사업체로 성장했을 때 전사적자원관리(ERP) 시스템과 같은 발전된 업무 환경을 보다 용이하게 도입할 수 있는 체계를 구축할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 개방화시대에 제품의 국제경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 Unix나 Tandem 환경의 시스템운영관리 측면에서 실시간 모니터링 운영의 효율성이 증대 하고 있고 이를 바탕으로 서비스의 품질 및 기술력 향상과 고객만족 서비스 등 경제성이 필수적으로 요구되고 있다. 기존의 시스템관리 기능의 운영측면에서 보다는 보다 더 다양한 고객의 요구가 반영이 가능한 새로운 형태의 실시간 업무지원이 가능한 모니터링 시스템 개발이 필요한 시점이다. 기존의 시스템관리 기능에서 보다 업무지원이 기능이 강하된 모니터링 툴 이다. 즉 업무(Application) 프로세스의 장애현상에 따른 무응답을 사전 감시하고 System의 자원사용현황을 개발 및 운영자 위주의 실시간으로 감시환경 모니터링 서비스 제공이 가능한 기능으로 설계 따라서 시스템관리에서 보다 안정적인 운영을 제공 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 업무 프로세스의 장애를 점검할 수 있는 모니터링 툴 검토하여 실무자를 통하여 업무장애 유형에 따른 감시항목 및 의견 수렴, 요건정의에 따른 업무설명회 수행, 탠덤 시스템 모니터링 프로젝트 수행 필요한 기능을 개발 할 것이다. 또한 시스템 운영자 입장에서 실시간 모니터링 서비스를 통하여 업무(Application)프로그램의 전송지연 및 장애 원인을 한눈에 파악 점검 하도록 하며 각 기능별 시스템(System)별 장애 감시 통하여 사용자에서 현재 상태를 종합음성경보(SMS) 구축 연계하여 지원한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 중요한 요소로 기존의 많은 Unix나 Tandem 환경의 시스템관리 기능을 비교 분석을 통하여 보다 효율성이 높은 고객서비스 기능과 업무지원이 가능한 실시간 시스템관리 모니터링 툴을 개발 한다.

  • BTL projects for educational facilities were conceived in 2005 to supply public facilities in a timely and efficient manner After the projects were completed in March 2007, proper facility maintenance has become an increasingly important issue. However, BTL projects are still in an early developmental stage, and the data on the maintenance and operation of such facilities are not yet available because the operation of the facilities has just begun. Accordingly, this study is conducted to derive maintenance processes and to specify maintenance items for the efficient maintenance of BTL educational facilities. Then, database on the maintenance processes will be created, and a maintenance system module will be designed.

  • This study was intended to investigate the quality control in technical services outsourcing in academic libraries. For this purpose, investigated related papers and the experience of outsourced technical services in three academic libraries. Data from senior librarians charged with revision of catalogs are gathered. Issues of catalogs production and quality control are explored and statistics of outsourcing is analysed. Quality control is a major factor of the success of technical services outsourcing operation. The some suggestions in order to enhance quality of vendor-supplied cataloging are presented.

  • This study aims to identify the work process of records managers under the Freedom of Information Act (FOI). In particular, it attempted to reveal the problems and difficulties that record managers encounter during FOI work. To do this, this study conducted in-depth interviews with 11 records managers who were in charge of records management and FOI work, and the accumulated data were subjectively analyzed. The study discussed the relationship between records management and FOI and emphasized the need for procedural improvements of the act to alleviate psychological pressure on records managers and help them focus more on the records management process itself.

  • It is critical to effectively change the measures of prevention from the breakdown maintenance proceeding an apartment housing maintenance task scope. It is necessary that systematization be performed for a series of tasks, such as facility inspection, diagnosis and replacement. In addition, it is preceded by establishing a standardization for maintenance work scope. Therefore, this study examined the problems related to public rental housing maintenance work scope to manage it more systematically. In addition, the study suggests a work process section for facility repairs, long term replacement and general maintenance using one on one interviews with experts to classify the occupants, management office and head office. This study's standard work system is expected to provide fairness and transparency in addition to improving the productivity in public rental housing maintenance via an efficiency promotion plan. In addition, it is used as the basic reference for developing a system of public rental housing maintenance costs and diagnosis actions. Finally, it is necessary to create improvements that provide a more objective work system standardization throughout the analysis of the productivity data according to the work flow and the review of the occupants, management office and head office in the future applications of the pilot site.
