The purpose of this paper is to examine website information as well as promotional texts comparing source texts of Korean with translated versions of English, and drew characteristics of tourism texts from a discourse and communicative perspective. This study shows that the website or promotional texts is the first source of information in tourism, which is most referred to by the in-bound tourists, and the information given by the official homepage is most trustful content of Korean tourism. With comparison of source text of Korean with the translated English version, this paper shows that Korean source texts have a tendency to prefer the longer explication and more detailed information on the scenic spots and attractions than the English translations. When it is translated into English, the translated version does not follow the literal way of translation, and is segmented for reader's understanding and adapted following the target language's communicative conventions and the target culture. Consequently, this study supports the adaption in tourism promotional English translation, and ensures that the communicative constraints of tourism, that is, politeness and Grician maxims are preserved even in the written form of communication, translation.

본 논문은 과거 많은 학자들에 의해 제기된 주구조와 부구조, 하위구조 등의 담화 내 계층적 구조에 대한 증거로 일탈을 중심으로 부구조를 분석하였다. 먼저 주제 일탈의 구조와 정의에 관해 분석하고 중단과 화제 전환 등과의 차이를 설명하였다. 지식 표현 언어인 Sowa의 개념구조론의 체계 내에서 담화의 계층적 구조와 그 구조를 나타내는 언어적 표시인 담화 표지의 예를 기술하는 방법을 제시한다. 개념 관계로 일탈, 화제 전환, 틀의 관계를 설정하여 담화 내 계층구조와 담화 부분과의 화용적인 관계를 규명하였다. 기존의 개념구조론은 선택적 제약, 조응 등의 의미론적인 개념들을 간결하고 정확하게 기술할 수 있었는데 화용론적인 측면의 기술도 가능함을 보여준다.

'Verbal overshadowing' refers to the phenomenon whereby the verbal reporting of a visual memory of a face interferes with subsequent visual recognition of that face. Schooler (2002)[1] suggested that verbalization causes a shift from a holistic/global processing orientation towards a more analytic/local processing orientation that is detrimental to face recognition. The present research investigated whether this processing shift occurs or not by assessing performance of Navon task following face recognition task, interposing verbalization between encoding stage and retrieval stage. The face recognition task showed the verbal overshadowing effect. In the Navon task, while non-verbalization group showed global precedence, verbalization group showed local precedence. This results imply that the cause of verbal overshadowing effect is a processing shift induced by verbalization.

In this paper, we try to criticize a bias that liberal arts are not practical. First, I introduce holistic models of knowledge and constructivism in education. Second, I suggest 'linguistic turn' as another noticeable phenomenon. Language is an element of culture, but a priviledged one because culture, in itself, is linguistic. So culture is a sort of a text. We can see that liberal arts or humanities to deal with texts, contexts and languages can have an important role to read, understand and construct a world. So the rediscovery of the traditional model of the education of liberal arts like processes of graduating studies of liberal arts or humanities, is relevant to a new 'practical' model of reading and leading recent social transformations. An important point is academic contribution. And current situation called 'Knowledge-Based Society' also supports my point in another way. The situation of rapidly changing knowledge requires an education of problem-solving ability by unifying and reconstructing knowledge supporting with constructivism in education rather than the cramming system of education.

유아론에 대한 비트겐슈타인의 철학적 투쟁을 조명하는 것은 그의 전체 철학의 핵심을 조명하는 것에 상당한다. 요컨대 유아론의 문제는 언어놀이, 놀이와 언어의 유사성, 가족 유사성, 규칙 따르기, 규칙 따르기의 역설, 사적 언어 논변, 뜻함, 봄과 -로서 봄, 모순, 논리적 필연성, 함 또는 실천과 같은 후기 비트겐슈타인의 핵심 개념이나 주제와 얽혀 있다. 이를 보이기 위해서 이 글에서는 유아론의 개념, 유아론에 대한 청년 비트겐슈타인의 생각, 후기 비트겐슈타인의 진단을 논의하게 될 것이다. 이러한 과정에서 우리는 비트겐슈타인이 유아론(넓게는 데카르트주의, 영국경험론, 현상학)에서 실천으로 나아가는 패러다임의 전환을 수행하고 있다는 것을 확인하게 될 것이다. 이러한 논의가 진행되면 우리는 유아론에 대한 후기 비트겐슈타인의 비판과 '사적 언어'가 어떻게 연결되는지 자연스럽게 문제 삼게 된다. 많은 학자들이 주장하는 바에 따르면, 비트겐슈타인은 사적 언어가 불가능하다고 간주했다. 그러나 나는 이러한 주장은 비트겐슈타인이 처한 패러다임의 전환 상황을 간과하는 처사로서 설득력 없는 것임을 보이고자 한다.

The neural bases underlying within or between-language picture naming was investigated by using event-related fMRI. The present suudy explorered the following two goals: The first is to compare cortical activation areas relevant to naming process in native and foreign language, and to decide whether the activation pattern of the foreign word will be the same as native words or not. The next is to find the cerebral areas involved only in alternating language switching between native and foreign language condition. Differential activation patterns were observed for language switching against one-language. Both naming tasks all activated the left inferior frontal gyrus (LIFG) as expected. However the differences in naming between languages were reflected in the activation amount of the LIFG, namely more activation in naming the native language than the foreign language. Especially, naming of the foreign word from English showed the similar area and size in activation with native language suggesting that the process of borrowed noun resembles that of native common noun. And the language switching between languages newly activated the right middle frontal gyrus as well as the left inferior frontal areas. The right middle frontal gyrus engagement in switching conditions obviously identified that right hemisphere is recruited in code switching possibly with respect to meta-cognition controlling language index at a subconscious level.

한영자동전환은 한글과 영문 데이타의 입력시 입력모드의 수동전환을 요구하는 기존의 한글 입력 방식이 가진 문제점을 해결하기 위한 연구로, 한영 전환키의 사용 없이도 한글과 영문 데이타를 입력할 수 있도록 하는 것을 목표로 한다. 본 논문은 한영자동전환시스템의 성능 평가 방법 및 성능 비교를 위한 객관적 척도를 제안한다. 항공대학교에서 개발된 한영자동전환시스템 AIMS틀 제안된 평가 방법에 따라 6 개의 실제 문서에 대하여 측정 실험하였다. 이 실험에서, AIMS는 한영의 인식에 있어서 99% 이상의 인식율, 평균인식거리 1.24 키 이하, 평균 키처리 시간 0.004초 이하 등의 결과를 보였다. AIMS의 이러한 성능은 전환키를 사용하지 않고도 한글과 영문 데이터를 입력할 수 있는 한영자동모드를 제공한다.

일반적으로 문자가 있는 스토리만화는 이미지와 대사, 의성어, 의태어 등으로 상황과 이야기를 전달한다. 문자가 없이 그림과 효과선 감정기호와 같은 이미지 만으로 구성 되어지는 형식은 무언만화로 분류 되어진다. 스토리만화와 무언만화는 위의 형식적인 특징 이외에 장면 연출에 있어서도 차이가 매우 크다. 문자가 있는 스토리만화에서는 등장하는 캐릭터의 액션이나 대사와 함께 내레이션이 추가적으로 서술되어 지면서 장면전환이 이루어지고 있지만, 무언 만화에서는 오직 이미지 만으로 장면전환이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 '무언만화'로써 대표되는 마사시 타나카의 작품 <곤>과 J.C.므늬의 작품 <산란주의>를 중심으로 장면전환 시에 반복적으로 나타나는 무언만화 만의 연출적인 특징과 이미지가 가지는 '언어적 성격'에 대해 분석하였다.

텍스트 기반 언어 스몰베이직은 적은 수의 언어 특징을 가지고 있어 배우기 쉽고 이후에 C/C++/Java로 빠르게 전환할 수 있기 때문에 청소년 코딩 교육용 언어로 적합하다. 코딩 교육에 흥미를 높이기 위해 다양한 라이브러리가 필요한데 마이크로소프트에서 개발한 스몰베이직 환경에서는 로봇 프로그래밍을 위한 라이브러리를 지원하지 않는다. 이 논문에서 오픈소스 소프트웨어 스몰베이직 환경하에 동작하는 햄스터 로봇 라이브러리를 설계 및 구현하였다. 교육용 언어 스크래치와 파이썬에서 유사한 로봇 프로그래밍 라이브러리를 지원하지만 스크래치는 그림 기반 언어이기 때문에 이후 C/C++/Java로 전환하기 어렵고, 파이썬은 객체와 클래스 개념을 포함하고 잇어서 초보자가 배우기 어렵다. 이 논문에서 개발한 라이브러리를 활용하여 데모 프로그램을 작성함으로써 쉽게 스몰베이직 기반 로봇 프로그래밍을 할 수 있을을 확인하였다.
