The Type of e-book's Visualization by the Narrative Space (내러티브 공간에 의한 이북(e-book)의 시각화 유형)

  • This study intends to make a proposal the direction classification to develop the independent study of e-book's visualization. For this, we research into the e-book of Disney animation which achieved recognition in the literary value and amusement First of all, We grasp the meaning of the concept of e-book's aerial-image and perceptual principle. Next, We found the subject that starts the movement, and then observed the factor of the presentation to be possible to experience the actual spatial experience by the motion-produced cues. Through analysis process, We can classify the appearance elements, media, camera, and the readers' motion-produced cues into 13 parts and define as the codes. As we analysis the frequency of use of the analysis object, We separated it into the 46 combination exercises. According to the combination with the independent exercise, We separated them into 4 groups. There are the actual spatial experience, narrative spatial experience, the experience of characters. The basis for these, we can analyze the characteristics of the motion-produced cues. This study has the meaning of the expansion of e-book into the film language system by separating the e-book's narrative visualization type.

Functional Brain Mapping Using $H_2^{15}O$ Positron Emission Tomography ( II ): Mapping of Human Working Memory ($H_2^{15}O$ 양전자단층촬영술을 이용한 뇌기능 지도 작성(II): 작업 기억의 지도 작성)

  • Purpose: To localize and compare the neural basis of verbal and visual human working memory, we performed functional activation study using $H_2^{15}O$ PET. Materials and Methods: Repeated $H_2^{15}O$ PET scans with one control and three different activation tasks were performed on six right-handed normal volunteers. Each activation task was composed of 13 match-ing trials. On each trial, four targets, a fixation dot and a probe were presented sequentially and subject's task was to press a response button to indicate whether or not the probe was one of the previous targets. Short meaningful Korean words, simple drawings and monochromic pictures of human faces were used as matching objects for verbal or visual memory. All the images were spatially normalized and the differences between control and activation states were statistically analyzed using SPM96. Results: Statistical analysis of verbal memory activation with short words showed activation in the left Broca's area, promoter cortex, cerebellum and right cingulate gyrus. In verbal memory with simple drawings, activation was shown in the larger regions including where activated with short words and left superior temporal cortex, basal ganglia, thalamus, prefrontal cortex, anterior portion of right superior temporal gyrus and right infero-lateral frontal cortex. On the other hand, the visual memory task activated predominantly right-sided structures, especially inferior frontal cortex, supplementary motor cortex and superior parietal cortex. Conclusion: The results are consistent with the hypothesis of the laterality and dissociation of the verbal and visual working memory from the invasive electrophysiological studies and emphasize the pivotal role of frontal cortex and cingulate gyrus in working memory system.

  • Five Plus One' is a result of visual expressions on five senses such as the sense of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Although I searched for the data on five senses, there were only information which was quoted in various languages and scientific bases, and also most of the books written were far from artistic expressions including visual pleasure and emotional expressions. In addition, most materials were mainly textbooks for children's intellectual development, academic papers, and medical publications. Therefore, I made this book that makes us to communicate about five senses and an inspiration even though we have a problem to read writings in both Korean and English. I arranged visual elements using illustrations and typography in various ways based on the scientific evidence.

  • This study was initiated with the attention of demanding new and diverse approaches, we're talking familiar with imitations in the design process like a way to draw a image. So I studied a convergence of humanities and visual arts with the understanding and conceptual approach of the formless. The purpose of this study is to develop formless languages and to organize practical courses which are to enable deeper research and design expression on theoretical approaches and explanations of outcomes required before and after the process when we practice in connection with the formless. The method of this study is to draw detailed items from selected words through advanced researches, work and author researches and practice teaching. The results of the study I proposed the formless language that is related to the horizontality in spatial positioning system, and pulse in the separation of space and time, and entropy in structural orders of the system, and base materialism in the limitation of matter as the operating mechanism and parent item of formless. And those elements are related with shape, size, shading, color, texture, space, structure as visual elements of formative elements and those have various adjectival meanings as the subordinate concept. So I presented an education materials of basic design which is to enable understanding and expressing the formless language in the overall process of formless visual art(theoretical approach, practice course, presentation, etc.). Based on these study results, I hope that this educational materials will be used as educational contents that makes them express and understand different new beauties, and a role that reveals social identity, and a reference for research on a formless visual arts.

  • SEJONG-NET은 시각 문자패턴의 인식 과정을 설명 할 수 있는 적절한 패러다임을 제공하기 위해 척추동물의 시신경계 구조와 기능을 모방하여 만든 문자인식 모형이다. 초기에는 온라인 한글 인식을 위하여 설계되었으며, 이후 다양한 문자 집합이나 오프라인 한글 문자를 위한 모뎀들이 개발되었다. 현재까지 개발된 여러 SEJONG-NET 모델이 가지고 있는 문제점은 정직성이라고 할 수 있다. 즉, 설계 초기에 고려한 인식 대상 문자 집합과 문자 패턴에 대해서만 인식이 가능하고, 변형된 패턴을 기존의 패턴으로 근사화하여 해석하거나 새로운 패턴에 대하여 그것을 추가 학습하는 것이 불가능하다. 따라서 본 논문은 SEJONG-NET의 이러한 제약점을 해결하여 한글 인식 문제에 일반적으로 적용될 수 있도록 개선하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 상위층에서는 인간이 가지고 있는 문자에 대한 구조적인 지식을 표현하고 학습을 통해 추가적으로 습득할 수 있는 형태로 구현하였고, 하위층에서는 상위층에서 쓰이는 구조적인 지식을 표현하는데 적합한 특징을 추출해 낼 수 있도록 구현하였다. 특히 하위층에서는 인간의 초기 시각 피질에서 감지되는 특징들을 추출하도록 구현하여 사용되는 특징이 일반성을 가질 수 있도록 하였다. 이러한 방법을 기반으로 하여 본 논문에서는 변형된 패턴에 대한 적응 학습 능력을 가지며 인지과학적인 사실에 보다 충실하도록 개선된, 온라인 한글 인식을 위한 SEJONG-NET 모델을 제안한다.

  • MPEG-4 시스템 표준은 오디오, 비디오, 이미지 등 다양한 멀티미디어 객체들을 통합하여 관리하고 전송하며 BIFS는 이러한 객체들의 표시 방법과 특성을 지정하고 하나의 장면을 구성할 수 있도록 해주는 기술 언어이다. 멀티미디어 데이터는 시간과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있어서 객체들간의 시간 관계가 명확히 기술되어야 한다. 그러나 BIFS 명세에서는 하나의 객체에 대한 시간정보만 기술 할 수 있고 객체간 관계는 정의하고 있지 않다. 이에 본 논문은 객체간 동기화를 위한 시간관계 정보를 저장하는 노드를 BIFS에 추가하여 각 객체를 동기화 할 수 있도록 하는 확장된 BIFS를 정의하고 이를 기반으로 MPEG-4 저작 시스템을 구성하였다. 이로써 객체 동기화를 위한 별도의 구조를 추가해야하는 부담을 줄이고 MPEG-4 시스템 자체가 동기화 문제를 해결할 수 있다. MPEG-4 저작도구의 타임라인 바는 제작되는 컨텐츠 내의 멀티미디어 데이터들의 시간관계를 시각적으로 표현하고 시간관계 모델 조건에 따른 Group 노드를 생성한다.

  • Information of video can be percieved as the form of visual rhythm through temporal ordering systems. The shot, the base unit of video analysis, affects audience psychologicaliy with various temporal combination. Here, psychological stress and density of the story can be adjusted by the point of view shot of character. Acordingly the correlation analysis of shot duration and point of view shot can be useful for visual rhythm research. Identity one of the thriller genre works was selected for analyzing.   • The principle of human perception, behavior, and thought is presented in the traditional interface design study that is ease to use and increase the learn-ability. We believe that the usability is related to user's affection. The goal of this paper is to investigate how visual metaphor works in usability and affection in interface to analyse the effect of visual metaphor to user affection. Literature reviews for the concept of metaphor and affection design conducted. We analyse the effect to user's affection through think-aloud i.e. protocol analysis for metaphor.

  • 객체지향 언어로 작성된 프로그램은 프로그램의 수행과정에 관련된 많은 정보가 숨겨져 있기 때문에 분석하기가 쉽지 않다. 자바의 경우도 동일하지만 자바의 경우에는 컴파일 후에 생성된 클래스 파일에 숨겨진 모든 객체에 대한 정보가 저장되어 있다. 비주얼 자바 가상 기계 시뮬레이터는 자바 가상 기계가 바이트 코드를 실행하는 과정을 자바 가상 가계의 구성 요소들을 시각화하여 그 동작 과정을 보여줌으로써 클래스 파일 내에 포함된 바이트 코드의 실행 과정을 정확히 이해하게 해준다.

  • Generative adversarial networks (GAN)에 대한 간략하게 설명하고, MNIST (숫자 손 글씨 데이터 셋)를 이용한 간단한 실험을 통해 GAN 구조 구조의 이해를 돕는다. 그리고 GAN이 어떻게 응용이 되고있는지 다양한 논문들을 통해 살펴본다. 본 고에서는 GAN 논문들을 크게 이미지 스타일 변경, 3D 오브젝트 추정, 손상된 이미지 복원, 언어의 시각화, 기타 등으로 분류하였다.
