This study aims to analyze how the Korean liberal and conservative newspapers cover the filibuster for blocking the passage of the anti-terrorism act for the protection of citizens and public security by the main opposition party. For the comparative analysis of the Korean liberal and conservative newspapers, this study analyzes how the newspapers used news frame, news source, key word, and news theme. To analyze the effects on news coverage of the newspapers' ideological orientation, this study selects six newspapers: Hankyoreh Shinmun, Kyunghyang Shinmun, Ohmynews from liberal newspapers and Chosun Ilbo, Donga Ilbo, Joongang Ilbo from conservative newspapers. According to research findings, the liberal and conservative newspapers show clear distinction while using news frames when the newspapers cover the filibuster. The liberal newspapers cover the filibuster as a positive political action while the conservative newspapers cover the filibuster as a negative political action. In addition, as key word, "disturbance" is mentioned most by the conservative newspapers while "poisonous clauses" is used most by the liberal newspapers. As a result, this study shows that newspapers are influenced by ideological orientations while covering political issues.

The purpose of this study is to explore a difference in crisis between media and parties. This research examined political crisis situation, crisis response, and media coverage using a case. Two main political parties in Korean faced the illegal fund raising case during the 16th presidential election. They used types of crisis response strategies for restoring or maintaining their reputation. This study found that a party's crisis response was consistent with news media, but another party's message was significantly different from news media. Such match or mismatch between a party and news media will influence on public evaluation toward a crisis response. This study has meaningful contribution in that the difference between an organizational crisis response message and news media coverage is significant.

In this study, quantitative and content analysis was conducted on 37,818 news articles that were reported on the subject of 'library' for 29 years from 1990 to 2018 in order to analyze the tendency of media coverage about 'library'. First, the quantitative change in media coverage was analyzed according to the criteria by time, subject and media type. In addition, keyword frequency analysis and semantic network analysis were conducted to analyze the trends of the contents of the press and the frames inherent in the press. The results showed that the media showed a major interest in the library's informational, educational, and cultural functions, and the trend of the subject's interest was generally consistent with that of the library community, except for the issue of librarianship. Lastly, the main attitudes that the media take toward the reporting of library articles were the reporting and advertising functions.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of Korean media on the topic of archives & records management based on time-series analysis. In this study, from January, 1999 to June, 2018, 4,680 news articles on archives & records management topics were extracted from BigKinds. In order to examine the characteristics of the media coverage on the archives & records management topic, this study was analyzed to the difference of the press coverage by period, subject, and type of the media. In addition, this study was conducted word-frequency based content analysis and semantic network analysis to investigate the content characteristics of media on the subject. Based on these results, this study was analyzed to the differences of media coverage by period, subject, and type of media. As a result, the news in the field of records management showed that there was a difference in the amount of news coverage and news contents by period, subject, and type of media. The amount of news coverage began to increase after the Presidential Records Management Act was enacted in 2007, and the largest amount of news was reported in 2013. Daily newspapers and financial newspapers reported the largest amount of news. As a result of analyzing news reports, during the first 10 years after 1999, news topics were formed around the issues arising from the application and diffusion process of the concept of archives & records management. However, since the enactment of the Presidential Records Management Act, archives & records management has become a major factor in political and social issues, and a large amount of political and social news has been reported.

최근들어 각종 언론들을 통해 닷컴 위기론이 강하게 제기되고 있다. 그와 맞추어 모든 언론의 보도양상도 위기론을 말하지 않으면 안된다는 의무감까지 생기는 모양이다. 이와 관련해 최근의 언론매체의 보도양상을 살펴보면 크게 두가지로 나누어 볼수 있다. 첫째, 전문가의 입을 빌리는 것이 하나의 방법이고 다음으로 업계에서 떠도는 소문을 짜 맞추어 하나의 시나리오를 만드는 것이다. 물론 양자 모두 픽션을 그리고 있지는 않다. 그러나 가장 위험한 것은 일부 여론의 태도인데 미 보도된 기사에 덧붙여 닷컴위기라는 동어반복을 한다는 것이다. 즉 동어반복 이외에는 아무런 실체가 없다는 것 때문에 경제에 매우 부정적인 영향만 끼친다는 것이다.

2000년 이후 우리나라 언론보도에 나타난 도서관 관련 기사에 대한 계량적 분석을 통해 우리나라 도서관에 대한 사회적 인식과 요구가 어떤 것인지를 파악해 보았다. 그 중에서 기적의 도서관 관련한 내용에 대한 내용분석을 시도하였다. 이러한 분석결과를 기반으로 향후 도서관계의 언론홍보 방안을 제시하였다.

This study is primarily concerned with the criteria for choosing a legitimate state plaintiff in cases involving a states request to media for a right of reply. Interpretation of the right of reply itself is different from country to country because of different constitutional views and systems in each state. Unlike the United States, the constitution of the Republic of Korea does not expressly prohibit the making of laws adversely affecting freedom of the press. Accordingly, in Korea freedom of the press may be restricted through legislation within certain limits and the right of reply is not incompatible with the spirit of the constitution. An analysis of relevant law makes it clear that the particular agency aggrieved should initiate the suit rather than the Justice Minister. The idea that the Justice Minister should assume the role of plaintiff in all state cases seems to stem from flawed interpretations of provisions in the Law Governing Registration of Periodicals and the Law Governing Litigation Involving the State. Even though each state agency has the right of reply, it should be cautioned not to abuse it as the states frequent involvement in litigation may bring on unnecessary misunderstanding and have a chilling effect on the media. The right of reply does not always imply that a certain media report in question is wrong and the media should be sanctioned for it. The right of reply is basically intended to help the general public make an informed judgment on issues presented in the media and insure fairness and balance.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual attitude of the major newspapers and broadcastings about public health policy during last $17^{th}$ presidential election and $18^{th}$ election for a member of the National Assembly and apply it to the study of procedure of making decision of policy as a fundamental data. Two researchers surveyed and analyzed all articles from three broadcasting stations, KBS, MBC, and SBS, and from four newspaper companies, Donga, Jungang, Chosun, and Hangyoreh. Among the major articles, the articles related to policies are ranked in last (10.8%). And among the reported 284 articles related to the policies, the social section (75 articles, 26.4%) and the economic section (73 articles, 25.7%) took part of over 50% of all. However, the articles related to public health policy took part of only 9.9% (28 articles). Among the articles of public health policy, the articles related to the cost of the medical service were ranked in the first (39.3%). Therefore, to solve the problems of the major public health policy, it needs effort to develop the public health policy and use the media to realize the developed policies.
