Today, the archives strive to move towards more open and hospitable spaces for its users and to provide differentiated services based on detailed user needs and behavior for their own survival and development. Building services for children is especially vital in changing public awareness and expanding the customer base. Therefore this study aims to present fundamental data required for improving exhibit services by understanding children users' perceptions and needs. For such purposes, this study examines the cases of both domestic and overseas exhibit services of presidential archives. Also, the study included the surveys of children and parents who have accompanied children visiting the presidential archive and experiencing the exhibit services. This study is meaningful in that it conducted the evaluation of archival exhibit services in the perspective of the children users. In addition, the analysis of children's satisfactions and needs can contribute to the spread of archival culture and the revitalization of children users' visitations.

The purpose of this study is to compare the tendency to study children's services in libraries korea and in North America in order to analyze the implications for future studies in the field of Library and Information Science. Looking at masters and doctoral theses submitted from 1981 to 2010, we analyzed 110 theses in Korea and 89 theses in North America. After reviewing the abstracts of the theses, we classified their subjects into six categories, including the materials, services, programs, administration and management, type of children, and the theory and history behind each library's services. Four things stood out from the study. First, the number of theses in Korea has had a sharp increase recently, but in North America there has been a steady increase for a longer period of time. Second, the theses about library programs are approximately 50% in Korea, but in North America 50% of those theses were about materials for children. Third, in Korea about 90% of the theses are for master's degree, while approximately 90% in North America are for doctoral degree. Fourth, looking at each of the different categories, Korea seemed to focus on the services and programs offered and the administration and management, while North America focused on the materials offered, the type of children to partake in the services and the theory and history behind the services offered.

Purpose : Urinary tract infections (UTIs) of children require prompt and correct diagnosis and treatment to reduce the risk of renal damage. As a first step to improve the outcome of UTI in Korea, we investigated the practical variations in the methods of diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of children with UTI and UTI prevention. Method :A questionnaire related to the individual policy on UTI diagnosis. treatment, imaging test, and prevention was submitted to 26 experts. Result Majority of the experts used bag-collected urine specimen for infants and mid-stream urine specimen for children for urinary culture. With a negative result of culture study, they diagnosed UTI when there was pyuria, positive results of the nitrite test, or bacteriuria. 80 $\%$ of experts prescribed prophylactic antibiotics after upper tract UTI. Operative treatment of vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) was indicated for children older than one or two years old with high-grade VUR, refractory breakthrough infections, or recurrent UTIs. Most of them performed kidney ultrasonography on the diagnosis of UTI and more than half of them evaluated children treated of UTI with vesicocystourethrogram and/or DMSA scintigraphy. Majority did not recommend circumcision. Half of the experts were screening siblings of VUR patients. Conclusion : Considering the variations exposed through this study systematic guidelines for management of children with UTI in Korean would be necessary. (J. By analyzing the use of outdoor space in apartment complex and finding empirical proof which is concrete and systemic, this study focuses on the relationship between residents' daily lives and physical space. This study tries to find out the types and characteristics of outdoor space which causes the occurrence of residents' use in High-Rise apartment housing Estates, and analyzes the residents' usage pattern of outdoor space in eight different apartment complexes which were builted since 2004. After analyzing the usage pattern of outdoor space, the usage of playground was ranked highest and playing, talking, exercising, resting was in order. Especially it was found that the usage inside semi-public space where passing is abundant increases.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of OPAC displays of three children's libraries in Korea: Seoul Children's Library, Cheongju Miracle Library, and Yongsan Public Library. 'OPAC Display Guidelines( Draft)' Published by IFLA is used to examine the details of OPAC displays, and to suggest their improvement. Discussed are such topics as the features of basic and detailed search screens, the brief display of search results, the arrangement and full display of bibliographic records, and the use of terms and labels. All three libraries offer their users the same KOLAS' OPAC, only designed to serve general users rather than children, i.e., their primary user group. They show some weakness, and much improvement is urgently required to satisfy specifically the needs and information seeking behavior of children.

Among city parks, children's parks are more accessible than other parks in the city, and there are many users. They are used not only for children's playgrounds, but also for relaxation and leisure spaces for local residents. On the other hand, as a result of focusing on the quantitative increase by the engineering division by the Urban park Act, the consideration of the users of various classes is insufficient. The purpose of this study was to analyze the actual use of children parks in single - family housing and communal housing areas, and to identify the problems and future directions of the use of children parks. For this purpose, a case study and a document survey were conducted. First, through scholarship research, the theoretical review and the present situation were summarized based on the data, such as the papers and research reports related to the existing children's park. The status of the location, facilities and management were then identified through interviews and site visits with the children's park management staff. As a result, the children's park was utilized as a leisure space with high accessibility in the living area. As a result, the residence time of most users was within 1 hour to 2 hours. In particular, use by elderly people was higher than the use by children. Therefore, it would be desirable to design the future planning of the children's parks and to plan the arrangement in accordance with the future - oriented multi - purpose neighborhood type children's park.

The childhood reading and physical environments are an important factor for shaping personality and values established. Therefore, We have to provide a quality environment for correct reading habits to children. the purpose of this study is to provide a basic interior data through the analysis of case study. for this purpose this study has analyzed of 5 children's reading room of public libraries built in Seoul since 2000. especially the research which it analyzed these reading room of forms of space, furniture, color, finish material, lighting. the results of this study are follows : Chairs and desks were not considered of children's scale or uniformly made. compositions of convenient facilities has insufficient component. finish material and lighting plan is similar to adults reading room plan. To give correct reading habits and interest to children, considered space design is necessary.

This study aims to investigate the child patients' space use and behavior with its focus on the rest and play activities. The structural observation method followed by literature review adapted to find out the commonality and difference of play activities among the age groups. Children's development and types of play activities and participation in activities were reviewed through the related studies. Preliminary research on spatial composition and facilities and the observation of child patients' play behavior and space use was carried out as a main research. A total of 148 cases were studied and PASW 18, a statistics analysis program, was used for data analysis. The results are as follows; (1) The Lobby was important space as a play and rest area. (2) The subjects mainly played physical play and social-cognitive play. The result of this study provides fundamental data for designing children's hospitals that can contribute to the treatment and health improvement of child patients.

This study suggests that the diversity of parks is necessary because the number of children, who are the main users in children's parks, is decreasing and the use of parks by older people is increasing. In particular, the present aging society is trying to propose a multi-purpose park to solve the problem of the elderly leisure. To do this, this study surveyed domestic and foreign children's parks and selected study sites to understand the usage patterns of children's parks. As a result of surveying the location of the park to select the study sites, most children's parks were found mostly in single family housing areas and multi-family housing areas. As a result of the survey, it was found that the children's parks consisted of streets and areas by the 'City Parks and Greenery Act' and they were uniform. This paper presents basic data for the development of a model for producing a multipurpose park that can be used for children's parks by the elderly. The subjects of this study were selected from 7 districts of Daegu city, which were classified into single family housing areas and multi-family housing areas. As a result, the arrangement of various facilities in the children's park is insufficient, and it was uniform without a design motive and contents. Therefore, the utilization rate of various age groups could be increased by developing a multi-purpose park model for a children's park.

New library building construction and the remodeling of old one is growing tendency is nation-wide recently. But there is no reflection of library user's view in the field of library construction. For the completion of the research the data was collected by bar-code scanner with user ID cards. Collected data was analysed by using crosstabulation and t-test. Around 2:00PM is peak time for library visit and the reading room for children is most frequent use space in library.
