This study is designed to decode the persuasion strategies in the advertising targeted for children from a semiotic perspective. Semiotic approach to "decoding advertising text" allows us to classify advertising signs and sign systems in relation to the way they are transmitted and communicated. In this strategic process of advertising production, the producers use various "expressive techniques" and "persuasive appeals, premises, and ideology" shared by the members of the society. This study investigates Korean print media advertising for children with the following research questions: ① What types of expression techniques are employed in the print media advertising for children? ② What types of persuasive appeals(consumption values) are used in the print media advertising for children? ③ What are the persuasive premises(cultural premises) underlying those persuasive appeals? ④ What is the structure of ideology that governs those persuasive appeals and premises in the advertising for children? The study result reveals seven most frequently employed expressive techniques, ten major types of persuasive appeals and premises, and the structure of ideology governing the signs and signification systems in the advertising targeted for children.

As the prevalence of food allergies increases, related hazards also increase. Among the victims of accidents, children under the age of 10 accounted for a significant portion, raising the need for management of them. To ensure that children are aware of the risk of food allergy for safe meal service and to prevent problems such as malnutrition and poor growth in growing children, the current status of food allergy is surveyed for teachers and parents of children's catering centers in Eunpyeong-gu, and 1: 1 Specialized projects were carried out to provide customized counseling, educational support, alternative diets, and educational materials. As a result, it was found that the improvement of professionalism of faculty members and parents greatly helped to create an environment in which nutritious meals can be provided safely.

The objective of this paper is to obtain the knowledge for spatial Planning of children's library which serves various users. The study method is to observes the children and their parents' space use according to the age step of children in public library, and analyzes it in the relation with the classified 4-types of children's section. Five characteristics were identified. First, children area was influenced by library location and user's characteristics. Second, children area was used various aged group with children. Third, there were different use patterns based upon age. Fourth, various reading space was needed through areas. And, last the behavior and the characteristics of area and furnishings were described.

In 4th Chapter : Suggesting conclusion of revitalization of children's library digital material room based on utilization and demand appeared through this study.

Physically interactive sport games are emerging as a solution to increase the physical activity of children in urban life. Existing studies on physically interactive sport games have been conducted with adults, while studies on children are insufficient. The elements of physically interactive sport games for children are derived from the common elements of physically interactive sport games and design for children. The derived elements are applied to actual game item to design a game for children. In this study, the elements of physically interactive sport games for children were applied to children's screen climbing games, and games could be identify improvements through user evaluation. It is expected games to take into consideration more children's characteristics can be designed by utilizing the elements of physically interactive sport games for children.

This study aims at exploring the effectiveness of continuing education for enhancing professionalism of children's librarians and its problems in order to provide systematic and practical children's services in public libraries. To this end, we conducted a thorough review and analysis of relevant studies on children's services and children's librarian education in public libraries. Then, we carried out a survey for children's librarians in public libraries in 2007 and in-depth phone and email interviews of children's librarians who participated in a continuing education program at K library one year later. The study findings showed the need for children's librarians' continuing practical training for children's services instead of one-time training. Further, we found the lack of children's librarians' professionalism and staff members in providing effective library services for children in public libraries.

Busan Metropolitan City lacks leisure-oriented spaces for children compared to other cities. Furthermore, it is difficult to maintain the amusement facilities for children scattered around the city due to the fact that they were worn out. To set up a leisure-oriented park for children on the site for children amusement facilities, the present study is concerned about planning children amusement facilities for public use compatible with the new trend for children amusement facilities. For this purpose, a number of case studies, carried out domestic and abroad on developing children amusement facilities, were examined to choose appropriate facilities and feasible project plans were drawn up. Major findings of the study are as follows. First, it is strongly suggested that this project should be promoted because it is a leading pilot project for building children theme parks for each zone in Busan Metropolitan City. Second, it is suggested that field study programs should be run in connection with Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education.

A school zone means a certain section designated among facilities, such as schools, childcare facilities, academies, etc., to protect children from the risk of traffic accidents. Since the school zone was established in September 1995, school zone accidents have not decreased even though it has been strengthened through a total of nine revisions until January 2021. This paper aims to present a standard model for child protection zones based on disaster prevention design. Methods of research included literature research, empirical research, and cognition research. Awareness survey was conducted on children, parents and drivers. Environmental surveys included crosswalks, motorways, pedestrian roads, and traffic lights. The investigation found that visual recognition of school zones by vehicle drivers was difficult, and found that motorcycles using pedestrian roads were a very threat to children. Accordingly, improved school zone standard model design centered on disaster prevention design was presented.

This research investigated which evaluation factors in children's television animation programs children between 7 and 11 years of age value. We collected data by means of questionnaires among 120 children of elementary school first through fourth graders. As research result, the most important evaluation factors for children were fun and action, closely followed by innocuousness, purity, realism, comprehensibility, and violence respectively. Boys in both samples attached more value to fun and action in a children's television animation, whereas girls in both samples attached more value to innocuousness and fun.
