Study on the Performance Variation of Gas Turbine Air Compressor Integrated with Air Separation Unit in IGCC Power Plant (IGCC 발전소내 공기분리장치와 연계된 가스터빈 공기압축기의 성능변화에 관한 연구)

  • 석탄가스화복합발전소내 공기분리장치와 연계된 가스터빈 공기압축기의 성능병화를 예측할 수 있는 해석방법을 제안하였다. 공기분리장치와 연계된 가스터빈용 공기압축기의 성능변화는 유선곡률방법과 압력손실모델을 결합한 해석방법을 사용하였으며, 예측결과들을 실제 압축기성능 시험 결과와 비교하여 예측정확도를 검증하였다. 제안된 압축기성능 해석방법을 근간으로, 압축기와 공기분리장치의 연계조건인 열교환기의 핀치포인트 온도차, 추출공기량 및 추출 공기압력이 압축기 성능변화에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 예측하였다. 공기추출량이 늘어나거나 핀치포인트 온도차가 커질수록, 압축기의 압축비 및 소요동력은 증가하나, 압축기 효율은 공기추출량의 증가에 따라 고압공기추출시에는 저하되고, 저압공기추출시에는 향상되었다. 더 나아가, 압축기의 일반화된 성능특성곡선의 제시를 통해, 압축기 효율을 극대화 할 수 있는 압축기/공기분리장치 간 연계조건의 최적화를 시도하였다.

  • Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) is a combination of energy storage and generation by storing compressed air using off-peak power for generation at times of peak demand. In general, both charging and discharging of high-pressure vessel are unsteady processes, where the pressure is varying. These varying conditions result in low efficiencies of compression and expansion. In this paper, a new constant-pressure CAES system to overcome the current problem is proposed. An energy analysis of the system based on the concept of exergy was performed to evaluate the energy density and efficiency of the system in comparison with the conventional CAES system. The new constant-pressure CAES system combined with pumped hydro storage requires the smaller cavern with only half of the storage volume for variable-pressure CAES and has a higher efficiency of system.

  • 금번 특집호중 앞서 소개된 각종 냉매 또는 가스압축기의 소개를 통해 압축기의 종류 및 작동원리에 대한 내용은 이미 많이 소개되었을 것으로 생각됩니다. 따라서 실제 공기압축기를 사용하고 선정하는데 필요한 기본원리와 구조에 대해 간략히 소개하고자 합니다. 공기의 운동이나 공기 압축을 의미하는 Pneumetic 이라는 말은 고대 그리이스어의 "Pneuma"에서 유래 되었으며 호흡, 바람을 의미했고, 철학에서는 정신(영)을 의미했다. 공기압축기는 전기모터나 내연기관(원동기) 또는 터어빈 등의 동력장치로부터 동력을 전달받아 공기에 압축일을 가함으로써 공기를 압축시켜 압력을 높여주는 기계로서 오늘날 산업전반에 걸쳐 널리 사용되고 있고 이중 중소형 공기압축기의 대표 기종인 소형왕복동식공기압축기와 중형스크류식공기압축기의 원리와 구조에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 소개하고자 한다.

A Study on the Effect of Compressed Air Using Air-breathing Upon Human (공기호흡기용 압축공기가 인체에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • This paper has analyzed compressed air-breathing that fire fighters use in Korea. And the local and the foreign standards for compressed air have been compared. Through the survey, it has been found that over 75% of all the respondents have ever had simple abnormal symptoms after wearing air respirators, and among the abnormal symptoms, nausea and headache are most frequent. Maintenance and exchange of compressor filters were poor and it can be another cause of abnormal symptom of fire fighters. Korea does'nt have any particular standards for compressed air-breathing, and the compressed air that is used by fire fighters is not different from air for industrial use. However, advanced countries like Europe, Canada and America, they have special standards for compressed air-breathing that fire fighters use. Through the analysis of components of the compressed air used in Korea, it has been found that all the samples have more water than the international standards.

  • 공기 압축기는 건설 및 토목공사 현장 등의 산업현장을 비롯하여 각종 공장에서 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 공기 압축기에 공급하는 동력은 전기를 사용한 모터와 연료를 사용한 엔진으로 구분할 수 있으며 전기가 공급되지 않는 사용현장에서는 엔진 구동형 공기 압축기가 선택될 수 밖에 없다. 엔진 구동형 공기 압축기는 발생소음도가 모터 구동형보다 훨씬 높음으로 인하여 주변환경에의 소음으로 인한 피해를 줄이기 위하여 방음형의 개발이 절실하게 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 기존의 비방음형 공기 압축기에 대하여 방음형을 개발하여 시제품을 제작하고 평가하는데 그 목적이 있다.

  • Parametric studies are conducted for optimizing the integration design between gas turbine compressor and air separation unit (ASU) of integrated gasification combined cycle power plant. The present study adopts the ASU of double-distillation column process, from which integration conditions with compressor such as the heat exchanger condition between air and nitrogen, the amount and the pressure of extracted air are defined and mathematically formulated. The performance variations of the compressor integrated with ASU are analyzed by combining streamline curvature method and pressure loss models, and the predicted results are compared with the performance test results of actual compressors to verify the prediction accuracy. Using the present performance prediction method, the effects of pinch-point temperature difference (PTD) in the heat exchanger, the amount and the pressure of extracted air on compressor performances are quantitatively examined. As the extraction air amount or the PTD is increased, the pressure ratio and the power consumption of compressor are increased. The compressor efficiency deteriorates as the increase of the flow rate of air extracted at higher pressure level while improving at lower pressure air extraction. Furthermore, through the characteristic curve between generalized inlet condition and efficiency of compressor, optimal integration condition is presented to maximize the compressor efficiency.

  • 선박이나 산업플랜트에 이용되고 있는 압축공기의 압력이 증가되고 압축기의 경량화 내지는 설치면적을 축소하기 위하여 3단압축을 하므로서 토출압력을 30기압 이상으로 증가할 수가 있다. 그러나 크랭크기구를 갖고있는 공기압축기의 실린더 배열이 복잡하고 고속운전으로 인하여 크랭크축에 연결된 왕복질량과 회전질량에 의한 불평형력이 저감되도록 왕복질량의 적절한 배치와 중량감소를 위해 주철재 피스톤 재질을 알미늄합금으로 교체하고 적절한 평형추 설치와 방진고무의 선택을 검토해야한다. 본 연구에서는 3개의 실린더가 60도 간격으로 배치되는 W형 공기압축기의 진동상태를 측정하고 이를 분석하여 진동저감을 위한 대책으로 평형추 계산이론을 도출하는데 중점을 두었다. 검토대상 공기압축기의 사양은 표1에 보이는 바와 같다.

  • An internal combustion engine is the most widely used power source for an automobile. In order to resolve environmental problems resulting from the use of internal combustion engines, environmentally friendly automobiles such as hybrid, electric, and air-engine vehicles are being developed. The share of hybrid vehicles using battery or pure electric vehicles, which are not popular, is gradually increasing. Compared to an electric vehicle, which uses an electric motor, air-engine vehicles, which use compressed air, have hardly been developed. In this study, a compressed air engine with a scroll expander is introduced, and the potential mileage of an automobile utilizing this engine is theoretically calculated.

  • This paper has investigated influences of pollutants in air-breathing on the respirators and it by year of disused air respirators that fire fighter is using in domestic cutting done air respirators after collection observed state of cylinder material through instrumental analysis, and cut open pipe to confirm pollution degree of pipe from cylinder of air respirators to airline mask and confirm pollution availability. The metal surface inside the air respirators was corroded by moisture included in the compressed air. The material generated by corrosion is white powder of less then 100㎛, which is analyzed as aluminum hydroxide corroded by moisture. This aluminum hydroxide powder may get into the lung while one breathes in, and it is easy to be attached to the lung so it will cause a serious influences to human health. This study suggests that Korea should set out the standards for components and composition of breathing air as soon as possible.

  • Recently, rolling stock technology has rapidly developed. Nevertheless, ride quality and vibration vibration on vehicle still need more study. EMU to be operated on SMRT Line 7(SR001) extension section is applied to oil-free reciprocating air compressor considering maintainability and convenience of inspection. But reciprocating air compressor compresses the air by back-and-forth motion of piston, and spreads the vibration to surrounding structures by its force of inertia. Optimum design of mounting bracket is able to reduce the vibration. As a result, we analyzed the frequency spectrum on vibration upon value by measuring vibration during operation of air compressor. On this study, we comprehend the vibration transmission process of reciprocating air compressor and consider the measure for reducing vibration by minimizing propagation of vibration.
