Characteristic of an insect-mimicking flapping device actuated by a piezoceramic actuator (압축하중을 받는 압전 작동기로 구동하는 곤충모방 날갯짓 기구의 특성)

  • A piezoceramic unimoph actuator can produce a relatively larger actuation force and actuation displacement when a proper compressive load is applied during operation, because the compressive stress causes material nonlinear behavior in the piezoceramic layer and triggers mechanical buckling. In this paper, we examined effects of the actuator under compression on the flapping angle and aerodynamic force generation capability. Effects of wing shape and passive wing rotation angle on the aerodynamic force production were also investigated. The average vertical force acquired by a 2D CFD simulation for an artificial wing showed a good agreement with the measured one by the experiment.

  • In this paper, EEFL, which is advantageous for driving multi-lamp and is able to reduce number of inverter, is used and Piezoelectric Transformer, which is able to reduce self loss, miniaturize and has high boosting transfer rate, and parallel connected to drive multi-lamp. For optimized EEFL driver circuit configuration, a Push-Pull type Piezoelectric inverter was designed and a simulation analysis was performed on the inverter circuit, and by applying multiple different type of driving methode, it is proved that a piezoelectric transformer can be used to manufacture a big screen multi-lamp driving inverter.

  • A piezoelectric actuator yields hysteresis effect due to its composed ferroelectric. Hysteresis nonlinearty is neglected when a piezoelectric actuator moves with short stroke. However when it moves with long stroke and high frequency, the hysteresis nonlinearty can not be neglected. The hysteresis nonlinearty of piezoelectric actuator degrades the control performance in precision position control. In this paper, in order to improve the control performance of piezoelectric actuator, an inverse modeling scheme is proposed to compensate the hysteresis nonlinearty problem. And feedforward - feedback controller is proposed to give a good tracking performance. The Feedforward controller is inverse hysteresis model, Nueral network and PID control is used as a feedback controller. To show the feasibility of the proposed controller and hysteresis modeling, some experiments have been carried out. It is concluded that the proposed control scheme gives good tracking performance

  • A piezo-actuator is an important component for an E-beam lithography system. But it is very difficult to model its characteristics due to nonlinearities such as hysteresis and creep, to the input voltage. In this paper, one-axis micro stage with a piezo-actuator is modeled including the nonlinear properties. Hysteresis and creep are modeled as the first order differential equation and a time-dependent logarithmic function, respectively. The dynamic motion of the stage is also modeled as a mass-spring-damper system and the parameters are determined by utilizing the system identification technique. The simulation tool for a micro stage is constructed using the commercial software and its simulation results are compared with the experimental data.

  • Piezoactuator using a flexure hinge mechanism is often used in the precision stages. When the total size of the hinge mechanism become small compared with the deformation of the hinge mechanism, the geometrical nonlinearity makes a considerable error in the output displacement. In this research, the incremental method based on the matrix method is developed to model the effect of the geometrical nonlinearity. Developed modeling method is applied to derive the error of output displacement of the bridge-type hinge mechanism and its results are derived with respect to the design parameters. This method can be easily used to the design optimization of the hinge mechanism and analysis results show that the geometrical nonlinearity error should be considered to achieve a high accuracy to the piezoactuators.

  • Recently, manufacturing work has been transformed to advanced technology intensive form from mass production with a little items required in the past. It was demanded that superior workpiece surface integrity. However, the study of ductile mode machining was proceeded actively.In this paper, it is developed Ultra-Micro Indentation Device using the PZT actuator. Experimentally, by using theUltra-Micro Indentation device, the micro fracture behavior of the silicon wafer was invesgated. It was possible that ductile-brittle transition point in ultimate surface of brittle material can be detected by adding an acoustic emission sensor system to the Ultra-Micro Indentation apparatus.

  • 최근 전자통신기기의 급속화된 발전과 함께 전자부품에 대한 초소형화, 고성능화가 요구되고 있다. 특히 노트북 컴퓨터나, PDA, LCD 모니터와 같이 박막 액정 표시장치(Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display, TFT-LCD)가 대표적인 예라 볼 수 있다. 이러한 박막 액정 표시장치는 그 내부에 냉음극 형광램프(Cold Cathode Fluroscent Lamp)가 있어서 백라이트의 역할을 하는데 냉음극 형광램프의 특성상 초기 고압의 구동전압을 인가시킬 수 있는 인버터가 필수적이라 하겠다. 본 논문에서는 18인치(4_CCFL), 20인치(6_CCFL) TFT-LCD 모니터용, 멀티램프 구동 인버터를 설계 제작하여 90%에 가까운 효율을 얻었다. 코일손실 및 전자유도의 장애가 없고 불연성의 장점을 가지고, 소형화가 가능한 적층형 압전 변압기를 제작하고 이 제작된 적층형 압전 변압기의 전기적 특성분석을 통한 방전램프 구동용 인버터의 승압용 변압기로써 적용이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • Piezoelectric transformer(PZT) can be used advantageously in high output voltage power supply. Recently, it also can be used in AC/DC Converter for miniaturizing size nd lightening weight. The modeling of PZT was performed by the calculation method through the physical and electrical constants of the material. The attributes of PZT were derived by an approximate analysis for output voltage gain, and resonant frequency. The proposed method is verified by computer simulation and experiment.

  • 압전 구동기(Piezo actuator)는 수 나노미터 수준의 위치정밀도와 고분해능을 가지고 있으나 비선형 특성인 히스테리시스(Hysteresis)는 정상상태에서 위치 오차를 발생하는 주요 원인이 된다. 현재까지 히스테리시스를 보상하기 위해 피 프 포워드 제어 방법, Pl 제어 방법, $H_{\infty}$제어 방법 등이 연구되어 왔지만 저주파 대역의 외란(disturbance)까지 고려하여 시스 템을 주파수 영역에서 설계, 분석하는 방법에 대한 연구는 미흡하였다. 본 논문은 압전 구동기의 위치 제어를 위한 제어기의 설계와 이를 주파수 영역에서 분석하는 내용을 다룬다. 제어기의 설계는 히스테리시스를 보상하기 위해 극점 배치 방법과 외란 관측기(Disturbance observer)를 기본으로 하였으며 적분제어를 적용하여 시스템 민감도(sensitivity)를 개선하였다. 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 설계한 제어기가 히스데리시스에 대한 보상과 민감도의 개선에 효율적임을 검증하였다.
