Pressure Control of Brake Circuit with Piezoelectric-hydraulic Pump Using Pressurization/Depressurization Characteristics (압전유압펌프가 적용된 브레이크 회로의 가감압 특성을 이용한 압력 제어)

  • In this paper, an equivalent brake hydraulic circuit with a piezoelectric hydraulic pump was constructed, and load pressure control for better pressurization/depressurization characteristics was conducted. To understand pressurization/depressurization characteristics of the equivalent hydraulic circuit, the relation between the load pressure and the input voltage was revealed experimentally. Experiments were also conducted to observe effect of the solenoid valve on depressurization characteristics. In the pressurization experiment, it was validated that transient response time required to achieve desired load pressure may be reduced through voltage control to change pressurization gradient. By applying the valve on/off time control and voltage control, it was also possible to reduce response time in the depressurization process. Therefore, transient response time may be improved within 10ms for pressurization and within 30 ms for depressurization using the control technique suggested in this study. The load pressure control method proposed in this study is useful for controlling load pressure of a hydraulic brake system with the piezoelectric hydraulic pump.

Development of a constant pressure feed system using a constant pressure proportional control mode (정압비례제어방식을 적용한 정압급수장치의 개발)

  • Automatic feed pumps are operated and stopped by a pressure switch. Thus, because of repeated operations and stops of the pumps according to fluctuations of water volume, operation with constant rate and pressure is impossible. Moreover, because of repeated running of the pump, keeping up of constant pressure is impossible and damage and energy loss are weak points of the pimps. To make up for defects of an automatic feed pump, this paper designed and made a static pressure feed system which was composed of a feed water control valve, a flow sensor and a control system. The valve device plays an important part in reducing load of pumps by constant water supply regardless of outflow of water. Outflow of water is determined by infrared diode of the flow sensor. The control system is made of a 8 bit micro-processor and the pump was controled by a specific control algorithm. With the constant pressure feed system, discharge pressure was kept at fixed pressure, accurate operations and stops were smoothly accomplished and the pump was operated with constant pressure. Thus, the constant pressure feed system can be considered as an advanced system which made up for the weak points in the current automatic feed systems.

  • When the hot water is supplied through the district heating (DH) pipeline, a pressure differential control valve (PDCV) protects the DH user equipment from the high pressure DH water and helps to supply DH water to long distance. It also controls the temperature and adjust the pressure in the main district heating pipeline. However, cavitation occurs in PDCV due to the use of high pressure DH water. It causes frequent failures and many problems. It also causes energy loss and complaints to both operators and users. In order to solve these problems, we will introduce the energy saving technology to replace the primary side PDCV with hydraulic turbine, convert the differential pressure into electricity, and utilize electricity as the power of the secondary side pump.

  • This study is focused on the development of a new muffler. A control valve installed in the exhaust system is operated by torsion springs, and its open angle is controlled automatically corresponding to the engine operating conditions. The experiments were done using an exhaust system simulator having the same pulsation wave frequency and similar pulsation propagation characteristics of a real exhaust system. The purpose of this study is to develop a new muffler system which has improved noise reduction quality and less power loss than conventional mufflers and electronic-control mufflers.

  • Proportional directional control valves (PDCVl adjust the amount of flow as well as flow direction in response to an electrical signal. This valves includes direct operated valves with or without spool position feedback. This paper investigates if it is possible to control pressure of fluids by means of the PDCV. A pressure signal is feed back to the Proportional-Integral (PI) controller, which is based upon a personal computer (PC). The PI control algorithm is implemented in a graphical programming language of LabVIEW. The results of experiments show the PDCV can be used a multi function valve of pressure control as well as direction control.

  • The Direct Drive Valve used in this study contains a pressure-feedback-loop in itself, then it can eliminate nonlinearity such as the square-root-term in flow rate calculation and the change of bulk modulus of hydraulic oil. In this study, assuming that the dynamic characteristic of the DDV is modelled as a first order lag system, an parameter identification method using the input data and the output data is applied to obtain DDV's mathematical model. Then, a state feedback controller was designed to implement the force control of hydraulic system, and the control performance was evaluated.

  • 최근 화학, 연소, 동력, 제철 등의 각종 플랜트에서 조업압력이 고압화되어 가고 있으며, 이에 수반하여 배관계를 통하는 고압가스 유동에 관한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 배관계를 통하는 고압가스의 유동에 있어서 유량의 적절한 제어, 유동에 의하여 야기되는 배관계의 소음·진동, 그리고 배기가스의 적절한 처리법 등은 공학적으로 매우 중요한 문제로 알려져 왔다. 일반적으로 정상운전을 하는 플랜트에서 고압 배기가스의 문제는 배기가스 Expander에 의하여 에너지를 회수하는 방법이 생각될 수 있으나, 실제 공업현장에서는 배기가스를 안전하고, 또 소음·진동을 발생시키지 않도록 적절하게 처리하는 것이 매우 중요한 기술적 과제로 남아 있다. 일반적으로 배기가스의 압력이 임계압력(critical pressure) 이상으로 되는 경우(실제 대부분의 플랜트에서 배기가스의 압력은 임계압력보다 매우 높다), 배관계 내부에서 충격파(shock-wave)가 발생하여 난류와동 혹은 난류경계층과 간섭하게 됨으로써 강력한 공기역학적 소음이나 진동을 발생시키게 된다. 이와 같은 소음·진동에 대한 대책으로는 현재 가스배출부에 감압밸브를 직렬로 설치하거나, 유로에 다공판(porous plates)들을 삽입하여 감압과정을 공간적으로 분산시킴으로써, 충격파가 발생하지 않도록 하는 방법을 주로 채택하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 방법을 적용하는 경우 배기가스 유동에 대한 유량의 제어기능이 저하되는 문제가 발생한다.

  • In this paper the gas leakage controller in processing chamber for semiconductor manufacturing is proposed. A pressure sensor is connected between the final valve and the numeric valve. A pressure sensor signal and a numeric valve signal are controlled by a proposed digital circuit module. Gas leakage condition, producing by 2nd plasticity in semiconductor process, display at LED. The proposed controller module is useful for monitoring the gas flow for preventing the critical process gas leakage.
