The Corrosion Protection Performance of Al and Al-5%Mg Coatings Deposited on Steel Surface by Arc Thermal Metal Spray (강재 표면에 아크 금속 용사된 Al 및 Al-5 % Mg 코팅의 방지 성능)

  • Arc thermal spray process is widely used to protect the steel from corrosion and abrasion. In the present study, two different coatings i.e. Al and Al-5%Mg were used to compare their corrosion resistance performance and the effect of 5% Mg addition in the properties of deposited coating. The SEM results showed the more compact and less porous morphology of Al-5%Mg coating compared to Al. The corrosion resistance performance of both deposited coatings was studied in artificial ocean water with exposure periods and results are compared. The total impedance values of Al-5%Mg at 0.01 Hz exhibited highest with exposure periods might be attributed to the coating and corrosion products nature and morphology compared to Al coating.

An Electrochemical Evaluation on the Corrosion Property of Metallizing Film (용사 도막의 내식성에 관한 전기화학적 평가)

  • There are many surface protection methods for numerous steel structures being used under severely corrosive environment, one of them, metallizing(thermal spray) is a available protection method which is comparatively and recently developed for surrface protection of various steel structures. However coating film obtained by spraying is to be needed increasingly more good corrosion resistance due to accelerating of environmental contamination. In this study, coating films(DFT:$200{\mu}m$) are performed with arc spray by wire metal and their types of films are pure zinc, pure aluminum, alloy film(Al:Zn=85:15) and alloy film(Al:Zn=95:5). And corrosion resistance of their films was investigated with electrochemical methods in seawater solution. Pure aluminum film showed a relatively somewhat good corrosion resistance compared to among those of other films and alloy films also showed a good corrosion resistance compared to pure zinc film. Especially it was observed that pure aluminum film showed a comparatively good corrosion resistance than that of alloy film named as galvarium spray(Al:Zn=85:15) in seawater solution. Morphology of corroded surface of pure zinc film appeared the pattern like intergranlar corrosion, however films of pure aluminum and alloy metal showed a general corrosion pattern.

  • 본 논문에서는 전력케이블, 전력용 변압기 및 가스 절연차단기와 같은 전력설비의 열화로 인한 방전현상 검출을 위해서 간섭계형 광섬유 센서를 제작하고, 방전 현상을 측정하였다. 광섬유 센서는 아크릴과 알류미늄 광섬유를 수회 감은 맨드릴형으로 선택하였으며, 간섭계는 Sagnac 간섭계를 선택하여 실험하였다. 방전현상은 절연유내에 방전모의셀을 설치하여 방전현상을 일으켰고, 광섬유 센서로 방전신호를 검출하였다.

Design and Fabrication of Dual Band Antenna Using Skeleton Slot Radiator (Skeleton slot 구조를 이용한 이중 대역 안테나의 설계 및 제작)

  • 본 논문에서는 skeleton slot 복사기를 이용하여 GSM 900과 GSM 1800에서 사용할 수 있는 이중대역 안테나를 설계 및 제작하여 측정 결과를 비교 분서하였다. 기본적인 skeleton slot 구조에서는 낮은 밴드의 2배 이상의 주파수에서는 수평 빔폭이 일정치 않고, 정재파비 특성이 불량하였으나, 급전부와 측면 방사부분의 다중경로 형성 및 절곡 구조를 이용하여 이를 해결하였다. 안테나의 크기는 반사판이 190$\times$190(mm), 복사기는 154$\times$106(mm), 높이는 33mm로 하여 현재 서비스 사업자틀이 주로 사용하는 크기로 구성하였다. 구성 재질은 1mm 두께의 알류미늄판을 이용하며, 이를 NCT로 타공 및 절곡하여 제작하였기 때문에 대량 생산 시 단가를 낮출수 있다. 실측결과 900MHz 대역에서 13.7%, 1800MHz 대역에서 16.4%의 -l0dB 반사손실 대역폭을 만족하고, 방사패턴도 대역별로 $\pm$1$^{\circ}$이내의 일정한 양상을 보여 이중대역 안테나로서의 요구를 만족하였다.

Measuring Thermal Conductivity of Nanofluids by Steady State Method (정상상태 방법을 이용한 나노유체의 열전도율 측정)

  • A new method measuring thermal conductivity of fluids is proposed in this research. It is based on the steady state heat transfer from a hot central cylinder to a cold outer cylinder located concentrically. This method guarantees more stable measurement than conventional THM(transient hot-wire method) due to its simplicity of theoretical principle. Measurements was made for the three nanofluid samples with different particle concentration of pure, 2% and 4%. Nanofluids are made by mixing the pure transformer oil with AlN nano particles. Design of the sensor module and experimental procedures are explained and comparison of the measuring data between present method and THM was made in detail.

나노튜브를 이용한 AC구동 OLED

  • 탄소 나노튜브(carbon nanotube, CNT)를 사용하여 AC 구동 방식의 organic light emitting devices (OLED)를 만들었다. 이 소자는 ITO가 코팅된 유리 위에 유전체 층, 유기 발광층 그리고 맨 위의 금속 전극 층으로 총 3개의 층으로 구성되어있다. 유전물질로써는 cyanoethyl pullulan (CRS)를 N,N dimethylformamide (DMF) 용매에 녹여 ITO층 위에 코팅하였고, 유기발광 물질로 poly[2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV)를 chloroform (CF)에 녹여 유전체 층 위에 코팅하였다. CNT를 MEH-PPV와 섞어서 유기발광 혼합물을 만들고 난 후, 유전체층 위에 코팅하였다. 마지막으로 알류미늄 전극을 시료 위에 코팅하였다. 소자에서 사용한 MEH-PPV에 의해 나오는 붉은색 발광을 확인 한 결과, CNT를 사용한 OLED 소자가 CNT를 사용하지 않는 소자보다 brightness가 좋았고, 전류도 더 작게 흘렀다. CNT의 농도에 따라 brightness의 변화는 경향을 나타냈다. CNT에 의한 percolation 효과 때문에 이러한 OLED 시료의 성능 향상이 이루어졌음을 입증하는 실험결과를 발표에서 설명할 예정이다.

  • This study is focused on the skill to prevent RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) from sinking. For better ability to prevent sinking, single hypalon tube is replaced by double TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) tube that is excellent at frictional wear strength and oil-resisting qualities. High buoyant materials are arranged in empty spaces of ship so that ship's spare buoyancy is increased. And for restoration of stable position of ship, the self-righting system is installed. Aluminium alloy is used for increasing hull strength.
