  • ITS(Intelligent Transportation System) implementing information collection services and information support services for cars of moving fast needs a communication system of special aim such as RF-DSRC(Radio Frequency Dedicated Short Range Communication). Before RSE(Road Side Equipment) and OBE(On-Board Equipment) will be able to communicate RF-DSRC, OBE first have to request Link Initialization Access using ACTC(Activation Channel) in allocated ACTS(Activation Slot) by Slotted ALOHA. Even though Link Initialization Access is a important element to decide performance of communication system, optimal mathematic modeling study of Link Initialization Access which is adapted RF-DSRC characteristics is not enoush. So, in this paper, we propose mathematical modeling about Link Initialization Access of RF-DSRC. And then we computed Link Initialization Access probability defining offer load(G) which is adapted RF-DSRC characteristics for analyzing performance of modeling.

  • Estimation of the point spread function (PSF) is one of the main research topic of image processing, because it determines the performance of the auto-focusing system. In this paper, a new algorithm for PSF estimation is proposed, and its application to image restoration is also presented. The procedure for complete realization of the auto-focusing system consists of two steps: PSF estimation based on edge classification, and image restoration using the estimated PSF. More specifically, we divide imput image into multiple small image or block, estimate unit step response and average them on the blocks which contain edge, and estimate 2-dimensional isotropic PSF from the 1 dimensional step response. Finally we obtain in-focused image by using image restoration based on the estimated PSF.

  • Using single carrier frequency RFID system in one-to-multiple wireless communications, might be generated data loss because of data collisions. Conventional Anti-collision method prevent data loss from data collisions which are binary tree method and ALOHA. However, those two preventive measures also have week points which are strongly dependent on the time and space when passing through the recognition area. This paper suggests the full-length instruction code method which fits in to half-duplex method, prevents data collision effectively by calculating the non-transmitting time of multiple tags considering approaching time to the recognition area. After full-length instruction code method test using 13.56MHz bandwidth RFID system shows that full-length instruction code method could make better result than any other methods. Moreover, the record shows O(n) result after analyzing O-notation of conventional time-domain procedure.

Optimal conditions of enzymatic hydrolysis for producing anti-inflammatory peptides from sandfish (Arctoscopus japonicus) hydrolysate (도루묵 가수분해물 유래 항염증 펩타이드 제조를 위한 효소 가수분해 최적 조건)

  • In this study, the hydrolysis conditions for the production of anti-inflammatory peptides from meat and roe hydrolysates of sandfish (Arctoscopus japonicus) were determined by measuring the nitric oxide (NO) scavenging enzymatic activity, experimental pH, temperature, enzyme concentration, and hydrolysis time. The optimal conditions determined when using meat hydrolysate were a pH value of 5.0, at a temperature of $30^{\circ}C$, 1% enzyme concentration, and 4 h hydrolysis time. The optimal conditions when using roe hydrolysate were a pH of 5.0, a temperature of $70^{\circ}C$, enzyme concentration of 3%, and hydrolysis time of 3 h. The NO scavenging activities of meat and roe hydrolysate were determined to be 18.94 and 19.81%, respectively. In summary, this study determined the optimum enzymatic hydrolysis conditions for the production of anti-inflammatory peptides from sandfish.

Effect of Isocyanate Index on the Physical Properties of Rigid Polyurethane Foam under Sea Water (해수에서 이소시아네이트 인덱스 변화가 경질폴리우레탄 폼의 물성에 미치는 영향)

  • The rigid polyurethane foams (PUF) were prepared using polyols with 90, 110, 130, and 150 isocyanate index. The effect of sea water on the physical properties of PUF with the increase in isocyanate (NCO) index and ageing time was investigated. Tensile strengths and compressive strengths of the PUFs decreased up to 10% and 7% with an increase in ageing time, respectively. Cell morphology of the PUF under sea water was turned out to be the same as that in the ambient condition. It was observed that $T_g$ and tensile modulus of the PUF under sea water increased. The results showed an additional cross-link reaction of non-reacted MDI and the change of NCO peak as observed from FT-IR spectrum.

Food Functionality of Collagenous Protein Fractions Recovered from Fish Roe by Alkaline Solubilization (어류 알로부터 알칼리 가용화공정을 통해 회수한 Collagenous Protein 획분의 식품 기능특성)

  • This study investigated the potential of collagenous protein fractions (CPFs) as functional foods. The specific CPFs studied were recovered from the roe of bastard halibut (BH), Paralichthys olivaceus; skipjack tuna (ST), Katsuwonus pelamis; and yellowfin tuna (YT), Thunnus albacares through the alkaline solubilization process at pH 11 and 12. The buffer capacity, water-holding capacity and solubility of CPFs with pH-shift treatment were significantly better at alkaline pH (10-12) than at acidic pH (2.0). At pH-shift treatment (pH 2 and 12), the foaming capacities of CPFs from ST and YT were improved compared to those of controls, but they were unstable compared to BH CPFs. The emulsifying activity index (EAI, $m^2/g$ protein) of CPFs (controls) was 16.0-21.1 for BH, 20.1-23.9 for ST and 9.3-13.7 for YT (P<0.05). CPFs adjusted to pH 12 showed improved EAI and YT CPFs showed significantly greater emulsifying ability than those from BH and ST. CPFs recovered from fish roe are not only protein sources but also have a wide range of food functionalities, confirming the high availability of fish sausage and surimi-based products as protein or reinforcing materials for functional foods and alternative raw materials.

Mating Systems and Inbreeding Pressure in Populations of Wild Lentil Tare, Vicia tetrasperm (Leguminosae) (얼치기완두(콩과) 집단의 교배계와 내교잡 압력)

  • The mating systems of natural populations of Vicia tetrasperm in Korea were determined using allozyme analysis. The result suggests that V. tetrasperm is low rates of outcrossing or mix-mating outcrossing (self-fertilization, s < 0.5). At the population levels, the values of inbreeding coefficient of ten populations in Korea varied from 0.131 to 0.176, giving an average 0.154. For ten natural populations, multi-locus estimates of outcrossing (tm) was 0.333 across fifteen polymorphic loci, with individual population values ranging from 0.269 to 0.423. The differences between the tm and ts values were not close to zero (tm - ts > 0.154), indicating that biparental inbreeding was significant in the loci. The reason for relatively low outcrossing rates of some populations could be attributed to extensive consanguineous mating and isolation of flowering mature plants. Although heterozygote excess was observed in one natural population, most populations exhibited varying degrees of inbreeding and heterozygotes deficit. Thus, selection against homozygotes operated in the progeny populations throughout the life cycle.

  • When analyzing the scatting problem of multi-layered planar structures using closed-form Green's function, one of the main difficulties is that the numerical integrations for the evaluation of diagonal matrix elements converge slowly and are not so stable. Accordingly, even when the integration fur the singularity of type $e^{-jkr}/{\gamma}$, corresponding to the source dipole itself, is performed using such a method, this difficulty persists in the integration corresponding to the finite number of complex images. In order to resolve this difficulty, a new technique based upon the Gaussian quadrature in polar coordinates for the evaluation of the two-dimensional generalized exponential integral is presented. Stability of the algorithm and convergence is discussed. Performance is demonstrated for the example of a microstrip patch antenna.

  • Concomitant with development of AR(Augmented Reality) and VR(Virtual Reality), interest in location based games and augmented reality have increased and various services have been developed. Due to this, AR, VR, MR(Merged Reality) techniques are considered one of fourth industrial revolution techniques. Oculus Rift which is representative of VR technology, and HTC VIVE need separate controllers, and don't offer service such as receiving external video information when users are using devices. In the case of project Alloy, which is a MR device of Intel, this has advantages such as controlling devices through hand signals and facial expressions, and receiving external video information. In this paper, we propose tourist guide system based on current position using MR. This system makes economical tour possible by arranging tourist attraction information which is from current position of tourists in correct places through external video information using MR, location determination using GPS, tourism information search using wireless internet.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel MAC protocol based on the harmonic transmission of ACK, called HAT-LoRa, for improving the reliability and the utilization in multiple gateway LoRa Networks. LoRa is basically vulnerable to collision due to the primitive pure ALOHA-like MAC. Whereas data frame delivery can be guaranteed by the transparent bridge of multiple receiving gateways, ACK is still transmitted by a single gateway in LoRa Network. HAT-LoRa provides the augmented reception opportunity of ACK via the simultaneous transmissions of identical ACK in multiple spreading factors. The proposed method reduces the expected transmission times of ACK double gateway environment as well as single gateway environment, by 55 and 60% in maximum, by 35% and 40% in average, in a single- and double-gateway environment, respectively. Especially, it outperforms under the environment where the distance between end device and gateways are similar to each other.
